It was a quaint, two-floor cottage that stood stoutly between two other different shaped houses. The walls were brushed with a bit of bright purple, just like many of the other houses with brown accent at the sides and a roof covered with thick hay. Inside, the place had a rustic feeling to it. Dark wooden floor boards that matched the walls, old squeaky stairs and with a sprinkling of dust on most surfaces. Since it's a new house and that Cinnamon hadn't mailed his folks for the rest of his belongings, the place had barely any furniture. Just a worn couch in the living room and a second-hand bed in the bedroom. Cinnamon will fix this later. Although the stallion was used to jogging, he felt tired today. He woke up extremely early for this trip, and two jogs in a day started to make him a bit woozy. Cinnamon retreated for the couch, making a note to check upstairs later. He laid his luggage on the floor next to him, then sprawled all over the sofa with a sigh. It felt a bit stiff, but it was soft enough to send him to dreamland for a while. |

Cinnamon awakens on his sofa, the day was drawing on, with the sun in the second half of the sky. The air wasn't quite as warm as his native Saddle Arabia, but the midsummer in Ponyville was still fairly pleasant. The birds were chirping in the tree outside the window, pulling him back to reality. The second thing to pull him back was the knocking at the door, soft, gentle and rhythmic, with three melodic knocks before a small bit of silence, and then three more. |

Cinnamon rubbed his brown eyes with his hooves, but even such a simple movement felt sluggish. Darn, shouldn't have napped, he thought as he peeled himself off the sofa. He was quite pleased that he wasn't covered in sweat, which was common when he slept back at home. "Coming!" he called at the door while prepping up his suitcases that had fallen on its side. It wouldn't do if his first guests saw how messy his house was. After it was standing back up next to the sofa, Cinnamon trotted over the door and opened it to see who it was. |

On his doorstep stands a young earth pony mare, pink furred with a green, puffy mane. She smiles warmly and presents a bouquet of flowers. "Hi there! Umm, I'm Daisy, I'm from the Ponyville Flower Shop, which is that one right there..." She points out a green house, that has a sign and a well-tended garden. "Just welcoming you to the area, neighbour!" |

Cinnamon's eyes widen with surprise at the flowers, which he graciously takes with one hoof. "Why thank you!" he smiles at her, then down at the bouquet and gave them a good sniff. The floral scents tickled his throat, as well as boosted his appetite for some daisies.. Well, not Daisy the neighbor, no, they just met! The stallion was grateful that he was born in a brown-red coat - otherwise his blush might have been obvious. "What lovely flowers! I'm Cinnamon Dust," he greeted back. "Oh, and wait here-" He ducks back inside, leaving the door open and placed the bouquet carefully on the sofa. Cinnamon takes his suitcase and opens it up and scans the small jars left inside. There's about four left now. Daisy seemed like a delicate mare, so he picked out a flavor that was all about the warmth and taste. Perhaps a little kick if her tongue were sensitive, but it wouldn't ruthlessly burn her mouth. "Have one of these - I'm giving a bunch away," Cinnamon says as he trots back to Daisy to hand over the jar. Cardamom, cloves, ginger and ground bay leaves, all swirled together with kisses of black pepper and nutmeg. It read on a label on it's side. Handwritten by Amma. "It's a spice mix. Feel free to sprinkle it on your meals." Edited by Serran, 1 Feb 2014, 01:04 PM.

Daisy takes the jar, looking at the mix curiously. "Why thank you! That's so kind. Your accent... where are you from?" She asks, cocking her head to the side with an inquisitive smile. |

"Ahh, Saddle Arabia," Cinnamon gladly answered her. He wondered if he should invite her in. "I, er, would like to invite you in but.. my house isn't exactly presentable yet.." He turns his head around as he says this, noting how barren and dusty it looked like right now. He didn't have tea to share either. |

Daisy waves a hoof with a smile. "I can any way, I have to get back. I was just sent over by my friends; Rose and Lily. Come over any time, you hear?" She offers, taking a step away. |

Cinnamon walks back into his house and rubbed a hoof underneath his chin. What next? He's to expect a large package by tomorrow (or in the next two days if it's late) from her parents, containing the bigger jars of spice to sell. There's nothing left to do for the afternoon. Perhaps some sightseeing will be nice. He's been such a busy-pony for the past few days, that he had forgotten to take a break and hang around his village. Now was a good time to take a good jog around Ponyville and get to know the place! And maybe buy a vase, Cinnamon thought to himself as his eyes laid on the bouquet of daisies. He nodded to himself, then was out of the house. |
