It takes a muscle to fall in love

An attractive building blooming with flowers of all varieties. The three mares who run the establishment are all friendly, if rather timid, and are devoted to their flowers, which they frequently enter into the Ponyville flower show.

++++

Peachblossom approaches the lilly display, which is contained in a large window box. There are a number of hanging baskets, vines, flower beds and ordinary stalls nearby - with a range of flowers some of which even she cannot identify! She notices pansies, hyacinths, snowdrops and irises, all early spring flowers.

Not far from her a red-maned, pale-furred filly is rearing on her hind hooves in order to water a hanging basket.

Peach stands by the flowers excitedly she looks back to her aunt. Normally she would have to wait till the adult introduced her but she was not sure if that was how asking for apprenticeship worked as well

"Morning Rose dear."

Peachblossom hears Auntie Jubileena hail the red-maned mare.

"This is the new arrival from Manehatten. My sister's filly, Peachblossom."

'Rose' turns to Peach, smiling.

"Why hello dear. Welcome to Ponyville."

Rose looks impressed at the proper address.

"Such a fine young lady!"

She coos.

Jubileena also smiles proudly at Peach's good manners.

"And this is little Pearblossom, her sister."

Jubileena pushes forward the small pegasus who looks at Rose shyly.

"Hi!"

She squeaks.

"Hello to you too little one."

Rose responds.

Peach says looking to the mare with a strait expression but a hint of nerviness and fear

Rose puts a hoof to her chin.

"I'm afraid we don't really have a need for an apprentice... sorry little filly."

She says, sympathetically.

"But we can always use a pony for flower picking? It takes a soft hoof and it's tiring work at the crack of dawn, but if you're interested you're welcome to help us?"

Peach looks disheartened at not being able to get the apprenticeship but answers.

Yes Ma'am I think I can mange it for you.

She tries not to show how disappointed she is but being a young pony she does not hide it well

Rose notices the pouty lips and upset expression of the young filly.

"Aw.. there's no need to be sad - here-"

She picks up a packet of tulip seeds in her mouth.

"If you manage to get these stubborn things to grow then I'll consider having you on as a.. um.. weekend apprentice."

Rose says, improvisingly.

"Quite alright little filly."

Rose blink-smiles.

Jubileena nods at Peach's good manners.

"Actually Rose that's just why I was here. I knew little Peach loved to garden so I set aside a bed for her."

She turns to Peach.

"I'll buy you... three more flowers and some herbs for your patch. Choose any you like."

She says, generously.

"Ok then little filly."

Aunt Jubileena nods, approving of the selction.

"I'll just pot them for you."

Rose picks up a shovel in her mouth and trots into the building.

After a short while the rose coloured mare returns with another green maned, pink furred mare. They are both carrying pots containing Peach's flowers. The two earth ponies are carrying the pots in their mouths and they put them on the ground in front of Peach.

"Good afternoon to you Daisy."

Aunt Jubileena says.

"Oh. Hello there Jubileena."

The other mare responds, a little shyly.

"And hello you two."

She says more confidently, addressing Peach and Pear.
