The Great and Powerful
|
A verdant, open area on the edge of Ponyville where ponies come to exercise their pets, sun themselves or sit on benches in a peculiar manner. The park has a stream running through it and also boasts a small band-stand, where aspiring musicians can sometimes be seen showing off their talents. |

Wait was it a filly or...I've lost it." "Mawhlftohusif..Idhabtda! Nhdslla? Gal? Bas? Wwiafo....I've lost it!" Longshot walks through the park looking now for a little pony of which color or gender he can't remeber. |

A little way into the park is a nice flat patch of grass, between a lamp and a tree. Almost perfect for the intended purpose. "So, tell me... Aside from making 'interesting' noises, do you have any... other talents." She tilts her head slightly and looks at Motor with doe-like eyes, the tone of her voice rather obvious. |

She cocks an eyebrow. "Oh... yeah... I can sing too... Usually loudly and raucously at three in the morning on my way home... If you get my meaning." She laughs then looks abashed. "Sorry, there's little I can say about myself that doesn't involve drinking... except maybe... nah..." She turns away and swishes her tail at Motors nose. |

She smirks and shakes her head. "Okay... you asked for it." She plants herself onto the grass and stretches. "Years ago, Me and Cheery, before she took the position as teacher, she thought she was going to be a gardener, and I thought I was going to be a fruit seller... So, we set up a little stall in Ponyville Market and tried our hand... Oh boy, was it a wreck... My fruit didn't last before it was rotten and her flowers wilted. But, we gave it a try... Of course, it was only afterwards, when she took the job in the school... and I found the bar... that we realised what our Cutie Marks actually meant... But could you imagine." Her voices grows quiet and she seems to look off into the distance as she finishes. |

"Well why not give it another shoot? Just because it is not your special talent does not mean you can't learn to grow your own fruit. I know Miss Applejack. When I help her with the apple bucking I can ask her for any tips. A also have a friend whose family owns a vineyard. Perhaps you could make your own red wine." The sound of his voice told her he was in all seriousness. |

She gives you a 'Seriously?' look for a moment before shaking her head. "No... Growing fruit isn't for me, but... Hmm... " She looks down at her flank. "You may be onto something with this notion about wine though... Not just a pretty face, eh?" She flutters her eyelashes. |

*He brushes a few strands of her mane back into place behind here ear and returns the look. He was having a wonderful time with her and was enjoying the silence and solidarity that the night gave them. On a blanket he had brought and laid out sat the Cress Alfalfa and three small home caned jars of mayo for her to choose from. These remained untouched and almost completely forgotten at the side. Quill had told him that Berry was a few years older than him but that did not mater. In this moment looking at her she seemed timeless. As if she had always been as she is and always would be.* |

Berry blushes slightly and looks up at the sky. "It's so... wonderful. And to think, there's a pony doing this..." The sun has almost completely set and it's now twilight, with the moon showing in the dark blue sky and one or two stars beginning to shine. "I usually don't see this. I'm usually quite a few glasses on by now." She laughs and then coughs, realizing how bad it sounded. |

Berry jumps slightly, but blushes deeply. "Oh... my... Motor, it seems the stars do really work." She absent mindedly twiddles her hooves. "That was cheating though." She says her head to one side. She picks up a sandwich and shoves it in Motor's mouth. "Stealing a kiss from a Filly-maiden." |
