The stage is set for the 'First Ponyville Talent Competition'. There's an excited hubbub around town as ponies prepare their acts. The sound of singing, instruments, speeches and preparations sound in various places. Mayor Mare grins at the stage. "A marked improvement over the one we had for Nightmare Night, don't you agree Inky?" Inky sighs and nods, a checklist in hoof. "And to think, Princess Celestia has hinted she may be making an appearance... oh, but keep that quiet. We don't want to get the hopes of the ponies up just for her not to show." "My lips are sealed, Mayor." Inky responds uninterested. "Now then. The applications are all but gathered, who do we have?" Inky flips a few pages over. "Motor Mouth, a pegasus, with his impressions... A band calling themselves 'Strings Attached'... Mythos Gray a unicorn story-teller... Applejack with her rope show... Rainbow Dash will be performing some stunt of some sort... Fluttershy has an avian choir, again... then there-" "Yes yes, very good. At least there won't be a shortage of acts. And nothing will go wrong!" Mayor Mare replies, a strange look on her face. |
