My family switch to ATT's high speed internet currently getting 100Mbps(for now) and my pc like 4 or 5 years old is lagging like hell.CPU is maxed and i can't say if this is just a coincidence or sometime like that.My sister's laptop is unaffected by this just only my pc. Your Ethernet board/card/on board can't handle that amount of data transfer, it ends up bottle necking. Look into getting a chepo card, like this: http://www.serversupply.com/products/part_search/pid_query.asp?pid=60696 I have a 10/100 card, and it works great. It isn't this brand, but it's the same thing. If you have a 10/100 Ethernet card, then you need a new PC period, probably a motherboard problem. |
