---Day 13, 12:15PM---
It dawns on me who Rider is while we sneak around to the building further away from him.
Or at least, I think it does.
I had Richter send his troops silent into the building behind Rider. It seemed to obvious to hide his master there, too expected. If he's who I think he is, he'd know that.
"Stay sharp."
"I'm fine."
Richter brought Esmere along with us for some reason. Not that I'm opposed to the help, as long as we're a small group of three it shouldn't be a problem.
Saber would do really well with that penalty off her, but if his Master is right here...it won't matter anyways.

She already used one command seal on Rider to make him not attack us.
"S-Saylest? Is that...you?"
I can hear her from just accross the room. She's sobbing.
I wave Richter and Esmere down to wait here and I walk into the room.
"Miri?"
"Saylest...What's going on...Why are they fighting? Why are our servants fighting?"
She's...a complete and utter wreck.
I kneel down in front of her.
"My head...really hurts, Saylest. Rider says...That you did something. But it's not true, right!? You wouldn't do that! We're Friends! Right!? Saylest!?"
I hug her. I kind of feel bad for her. My seduction worked perfectly, so much so that it's driven her mad because her instincts know that I'm her enemy.
"What's going...on? Why are you attacking Rider?"
I take a deep breathe.
"Miri. I need you to focus. Rider has control of you."
"Wha...What? No! He wouldn't do that!"
"Miri. When did you start doubting Rider? When we first met right?"
"Ye...yeah...I mean...I don't know. I guess?"
"He had you under mind control. That's why he wanted to assassinate us. I was breaking his spell. I'm sorry I couldn't completely get rid of it yet."
"So Rider was...just using me?"
"I'm sorry, Miri. I didn't want to tell you until you were free of his mind control."
"That's why...that's why...he didn't even tell me his identity! He said...I seemed like I was...manipulatable so it was a risk! I didn't want to risk it!"
"It was him the whole time. I'm so sorry Miri."
"Saylest...I'm so sorry. I can't think straight. I'm just...I'm so confused...It hurts so much."
I grab her hand and press it against her face. Her tears roll across her cheeks in streams. This is really sad.
"It's okay. Saber can hold him back. But Miri, we need you to help us."
"H-help...? H-ho-how can I?"
"Once Rider is gone, his mind control will be gone too. You'll be back to normal. We'll be friends, best friends. I'm here for you."
"Then...What do I...What should I do?"
"Are you sure you want to? It means he has to die."
"He's just a faker! He doesn't love me! He's just using me! Right? Right!?"
"I'm sorry, but yes. I need you to focus. Use your command seal. Make him kill himself."
"Hyhyhyh!?"
That sound of her trying to breathe in shock while trying not to cry. It hurts my heart a little. She just grabs me and squeezes me. Shaking the entire time.
"It's not real, Miri. But we are. Our friendship is real. Don't you want something real?"
She just sobs on my shoulder. My dress is getting ruined.
I know I'm just feeding her lies, but this is...really painful. She's such a wreck because of me. And after this, I'll definitely have to kill her.

Richter and Esmere are completely silent. For a moment I forgot that they're waiting just behind that wall.
"Saylest...is he really...a bad guy?"
"...I think that...if someone could control your mind to make you feel however they want...They're pretty bad."
I can feel Esmere's hate for me growing from here.
"But...what if you already liked them before they did that?"
"Then...They're probably scared and lonely. They don't expect that...anyone could love them, so they think they have to force it."
"Do you think...we could spare Rider? Maybe he would...become better if he knew he didn't have to control me?"
"...How about this...I don't have a use for the grail. Saber and I just want to live together. We don't need a wish. How about, when I win the war, I wish for Rider to come back to you without being able to control your mind? That way you can find out if you really love him, or if he was just controlling you."
"Ayh!? You...would do that?"
I hold her hand between both of mine.
"Of course. We're friends, aren't we?"
"...Thank you..."
Miri starts to stand up and I let her lean on me to do so.
She looks out the window and so do I at the battle between Saber and Rider.
He's using that Joker form of the Ace of Hearts, the scythe mode.
He's already down to two-fifths of his mana supply from it. And as long as Saber keeps sacrificing those shields...He won't be able to steal from her.
"You bastard...I loved you...I really did."
"Miri...Saber can't hold out against that weapon much longer."
"Rider! Find and Kill Lancer!"
The command seal flashes on her body and all I can think is...
What?
"Miri...What did you just...command him to do?"
"Lancer is...nearby. We were supposed to draw you into a trap."
Then that other building had...Lancer's Master probably.
I activate my eyes and look at the building carefully. I don't see any trace of the Alondite soldiers Richter sent inside. Just one lone living body of blood.
There's a roar of light from that building that erupts and drowns out the sight of Rider and Saber in massive explosive light.
It's blinding, and the situation is as bad as it could be, but I don't have time to focus on that.
"Your servant was the heroic spirit Kurama."
It's his master, so even if he dies it should work.
"What?"
"A infamous battle analyst, Kurama was a scout in his Kingdom's military. He would find battlefields and then determine what went wrong and why his Kingdom lost that skirmish. With his threads he wasn't in need of any horse or mobility, they provided all the speed he needed."
I feel the seals on my back unlock just like they did against Raptor when the war started. I'm glad I was right. This should also mean Saber doesn't have a penalty anymore.
"But...Then how did he control my mind?"
I reinforce my hand and shove it into her chest and puncture her heart.
I could...almost vomit from the feeling. I pull my hand out as quickly as I can.
"He didn't. I did."
And I seduce her into ecstasy as I put my lips to her mouth to drain her magic before she dies.
She's drowning in pleasure from this as her body fails within seconds of her heart being stabbed by my hand.

The knowledge crashes into my mind like waves on a beach. The ability she used to stop my phone call, and another to protect someone from magical attacks. Miri you're the second most useful person I've stolen magic from.
I flip through her recent memories and reach my hand into her jacket pocket and search around. Something rubs against my hand and I pull out the [Heaven's Crystal Tear] and pull off the [Azure Bracelet] from her wrist.

"Saylest. Are we finished?"
"Not yet. Lancer is here too. This is the last fight. Are you ready?"
"Of course."
"No, boy, you're not."
I didn't notice it, but now a massive burly tanned man with a huge mustache is barring the doorway.
"R...Rudolph..."
"Rudolph, we need to dispatch the servant quickly before it can recover."
An arm lashes outward as Richter leaps back.
"Have you gone mad?"
"You're out of your bounds, Boy. Slave to a witch."
Another man steps behind the massive mustached Rudolph.
"Hey Rudolph, why isn't your nose glowing red?"
"Oh. Funny. It's because I haven't bashed your skull in half with it."
"Why the hell can you do that with a nose!? They're supposed to be soft!"
"Enough! Richter. Did you think we would not notice your refusal to put your bracer back on? You are a foolish boy, and you now use our great legion for the cause of some witch?"
"Richter already explained it to Alor-"
Richter is suddenly infront of Esmere to block the massive arm with both of his own. Esmere jumps back. But if not for Richter, she wouldn't have had the time to jump back.
"If you're so convinced I'm under mind control, then hand me a bracelet. Hand Esmere one as well. We took them off to give Saylest comfort, for her to know we trust her."
"If you have the ability to take off the bracelet, you are useless to our great cause."
"You're mind controlling them all. You sneaky bastards."
"Mind your tongue, filthy witch. We ensure that our soldiers maintain their minds in clarity. They need no thoughts of witchcraft in their heads."
"That's why...It hurt...It ached to be without the bracer...I thought I just felt vulnerable...You were control--hyeeh!"
Richter was shoved out of the way, so this time I pushed him back. I lit up a Brante Embreko and blasted the floor with it.
"We will destroy both servants, and then the grail itself. All witchcraft must be annihiliated. There are NO exceptions, Richter. Kiss the son lest he be angry and ye perish from the way."
"No wonder I was so much weaker back then. My resolve was fake and forced. Rudolph, I will end this. First you and Aaordin, then Alorgory."
Richter lifts up his crystal blade. There's no way out of this fight now.
But to think Alondite was using the same...
"That's why they raided the Amoria so long ago. They wanted our magecraft, not our extinction."
It made both Esmere and Richter flinch. And Rudolph didn't waste the chance to bash into Richter. He pushed him off, but I can tell the blow did a fair share of damage to his armor.
"Saylest, you need to get to Saber. Esmere will guide you."
"Richter!"
"Go! He cannot get past me just yet!"
The crystal sword seems to shake and glow all at once.
If the sword is based on resolve...
Then for once, Richter may actually be nearly a match for Saber in terms of power.
