Simple enough. Ask a question about Warrior Souls II and I'll answer it as well as I can at the moment. You can of course ask me the question in the IRC Chatroom if you want. Some Basics: I. Release Date: TBH II. # of Players: 1~2 (Possibly 10*) * : Rotating Lobby. Winner fights next in line, loser goes to the back of the line. Initial Release most likely will not have this, but may be added shortly after if it causes no complications. III. Planned Modes? [Arcade](1vsCOM), [Versus](1vs1), [Practice](1vsPunchingBag), [Gallery/Exhibition](Single-Player Only, View Weapon Demonstrations & Character Profiles). There are currently no other modes intended to be created. This may change depending on both what the engine can handle and my desire to continue adding to it/demand for it. IV. Weight System This was briefly mentioned in the reveal thread. WS2 features a "Weight" stat on characters. And yes it actually matters. A characters Weight affects the game's gravity engine dynamically; - Heavier Characters are knocked back less than Lighter Characters. - Heavier Characters jump shorter and land back on the ground much faster. - Heavier Characters take slightly more damage from moves that slam them into the ground or from Stage Hazards involving Gravity(Ring Out/Platform Shove). - Heavier Characters are harder to juggle and fall out of combos easier. - Heavier Characters have longer downtimes after using Sidestep/Parry. All of the above is dynamically true by the Engine alone. No extra help is needed. Just by being 5 pounds heavier than your opponent, all of the above is true for you. Likewise though, being 50 pounds heavier means all of the above is even MORE true for you. As an example, not to be taken as indicative of the final version at all: 150lbs Chara(Light) VS 155lbs Character(Heavy) 150lbs Chara(Light) VS 200lbs Character(Heavy) Inversely: 100lbs Chara(Light) VS 200lbs Character(Heavy) |
