i hypothesize that an air skill is so epic, it resets the terminal speed of the height of fall to the position where the skill has been used

This makes me think of what happens when you use a jetpack skill to recover from a terminal velocity fall in LS. I can't remember if it was restricted to Cyber Medic's Jetpack, or all three could do it, but basically, you just pop out of the 'falling' animation, into the 'jump' animation. I can't remember if you can double jump after that or something though. But you need to hit the button again to activate the Jetpack properly, however, using this 'fall pop' doesn't affect cooldown at all-you literally can use this weird 'glitch'? to pop out of a deadly fall, like from Boxer's helmet skill, and even if said Boxer does something that edges you, use the jetpack again to recover. Or if you get edged and take to long to deploy the jets, you'll have to quickly hit the button twice to start flying back up to the stage.

@Zaealix I HATED THAT GLITCH BECAUSE IT ALWAYS WORKED WHEN I DIDN'T WANT IT TO. >:C Jetpacks are my way to destroy templar ice mages.

Also... explain double jumping. Just explain it.

@Swrrt-double jumping, as in all LS what mage heros can do as an innate feature of the class?

If that's not what you meant... Well, one of the more reasonable sounding explainations I 've heard about how it works, is that somehow, you temporarily 'compress' the air molecules under your feet into acting like a solid for just long enough for you to jump off it.
Slightly helped by the fact that in recent times double jumping tends to be marked with a little circle wave, of sorts going out from the position of the jump.
Of course, this is a gross violation of physics as we know it, etc, etc.

some video game characters, such as yoshi, will flutterjump with absolute muscle power, so it can't be all magic. maybe a certain robin tunic has taken some of these capabilities...?

the logic that surrounds the whole lost saga universe has been adjusted by devk himself to make epic fights suitable for the summoners and their mercenaries
