![]() I think this game is easily The Wii U game of the year. When it comes to their major titles Nintendo always brings out all the stops. Wasn't too hot on Mario jumping in the the cat bandwagon. The cat suit is almost the most powerful power game, behind the star of course. There's also a suit you can get that almost makes you nearly unstoppable if you die more then five times. The game is really forgiving. If you lose all your lives you can get powers up again at the mushroom houses. There's a save point in the middle of each level. If you're playing multiplayer and you fall too far behind you can get caught up via a bubble. The level design is really stellar. This game does pay homage to past Mario titles while giving us some new cool challenges. There was even a level that was like a Mario Cart track. There's even levels that require that you use the game pad's touch screen and even it's microphone. There's a load of fun levels in this game. There's even a game in the game. There's a Toad's Adventure thing where you run around as Captain Toad. And there's unique time challenge levels. Plus to advance you need to find stars. The biggest downfall is that you might be able to breeze through this game. The difficultly isn't that high. But this could be a good thing if you're playing with a kid and don't feel like playing something that could make them cranky. It certainly seems like a favorite for the kids I been playing with. There's a lot to explore for in the game. You're not going to find everything your first time through. This is a beautiful game that is a must have for The Wii U. I give this game a 10/10. |
