Much was on the young female's mind. Not only that but the fact she didn't want to admit to her self she was lost even though she was and would admit it to others. Selfora bad been journeying for many days and weeks, looking for a new home, as well as getting lost. Most of the time she had aid of the animals, but the last groups tried to eat her! The group smelled her cut leg, which was all healed now, and saw her limp. She had gotten far from them by climbing into a tall tree, which she fell asleep in. This area was so new to her, it was scary how big it was. Currently she was lost in a swamp. The siren hadn't seen animals for days except fish and frogs, nothing too helpful and she was getting too tired to go on much longer. Her mount had vanished too and so she was alone. Alone in a new realm and lost without help.
Her legs hurt and her feet felt worse, for the past three days she hadn't stopped walking, nor had she eaten in a while. Sure she looked like a walking dirt ball but that went away when she tripped. With a soft yelp she fell face first into a stream. It washed away most of the dirt, but left her still looking tired. She didn't want to give up either. Sitting in the water she willed her aching body to move but, looking to the water as it flowed by... It called to her. Cupping her hands she drank some from the fresh water stream. It restored her but didn't help with how tired she was getting let alone how hungry. Standing, the woman went on.
Selfora fell about three more times, twice into puddles, once into a squishy bed of moss which nearly claimed her in sleep. She walked on yet again, but soon stopped to look around. Brushing her hair from her face she shivered. The sky was darkening slowly, night was coming. The swamp was already getting colder in places. With a sigh she trudged on till she let out a short scream, the ground broke from the high bank she was walking on sending her sliding down to a larger deep end of water. Splashing down into the water she scrambled up to the top, whimpering and sputtering water she looked around franticly. There was no way she could get back up there. Trading water she bit her lip and shivered, looking around she saw a bank not to far off, it was a foot over the water. Most would dumbly call out "help" but out here, there was a high chance no one was out in the swamp.
Swimming to the edge she grunted, the cold water making it somewhat difficult to keep going but she did. Determined to get on the bank before her body gave up, she didn't want to drown. Soon as she came up to the edge she threw her hands up, gripping some dirt it crumbled. Looking around she saw a root, a long thick root dipping into the water. A smile went on her face. She was safe! Swimming over she gripped the root but son as she did she looked to the bank. The look of accomplishment gone... She was too tired to pull herself up. It was maybe half a foot up but she still was tired, her feet were on a rock or part of a underwater bank so she could stand now but still. So close. Leaning against the foot she sighed, closing her eyes she hugged the root. Her body was so tired now... all she could think of was that she needed a miracle to be back up on that bank. Just a bit of help would be nice... Then she would sleep, yes... Sleep. A good long slumber... With that Selfora's mind began to shurt down, sleep called to her. But she was fighting it, fighting it till it won her over.

Gedrick was sleeping with their new friend Dawn for the moment. She had seemed so shaken up. She hadn't even wanted to leave the room where Gedrick slept with him at night. So he slept on the couch in his room while letting his new best friend have the bed. She would have her own room once she was feeling better. He hoped when his new best friend slash adopted sister, despite Jasel's disliking of this, was feeling better Gedrick would just alternate where he slept at night. He loved his companion and valued his new sister-friend. He was out walking now to get some excersize. Plus his twin brother was getting on his nerves. Then again Jasel was tolerating all the people he was bringing into the house. He knew his brother was not happy about the angel but he'd get over it.
He snapped from his thoughts as he walked when he heard splashing. Then he caught a scent that was out of place in the swampy marshlands. He sniffed the air and followed it. The scent held fear and that usually indicated danger. He flitted, even though it tired him some unlike when Jasel did it, and ended up closer to the source. He looked around and spotted a form despertately clinging to a fat root that dangled in the water. He flitted over and looked at the girl. Sniffing to see if she was alive or dead. He then went to the edge and laid on his stomach. "Hey...I'm gonna pull you up. When I have a hold of you I want you to grab onto my wrists." he said. Smiling at her. He reached over and scooted further along the edge. Gripping the middle of her lower arms and began pulling her up. Scooting backwards slowly but sure.
Soon as he could he threw himself backwards onto his back which resulted in her landing on his chest. He panted a bit and then let go of her. Sitting her up beside him. Taking off his jacket and handed it to her. "Put this on." he sniffed her for injuries. "Are you hurt? You should come with me...I'll get you some dry clothes and you can stay at our manor." He said with a smile.

The Siren was most definitely alive, dead tired, but alive. Her left hand was over her head, clutching the root tight and her right was clutching the root close to her chest. In her people's lore plants aided weary travelers and comforted them if their hearts were good. The great root's owner, made it's root wrap around her waist, to keep her standing as she feel half asleep, not wanting her to sleep right then it began to use ancient means to sustain her, only old trees could give strength. It was just enough to wake her and give her strength to move again for a while. The voice that she heard made her look up and see a male, on his stomach, looking to her. Turning she faced him, the look of joy in her eyes most definitely now. Soon as his hands reached to her she let go of the root and gripped his wrists. Tightly as she could so she could be pulled up. The tree helped somewhat after letting go and she blinked. Seeing the male under her she blushed and moved off quickly. Even in her tired state that was rather weird. Yet she was glad he saved her from freezing to death in the murky water. Sitting by him she pulled her knees up and shivered, looking to him she shook her head no, taking the jacket she looked at it for a moment then wrapped it around her. Shivering harder she yawned and lowered her head, "So tired... cold..." she whispered and pulled his jacket around her more. She didn't even catch he lived in a manor, "Thank you sir..." she said looking to him and then to her hands. Soon she could rest.
