Elanora sighs as she followed her see-through wrap. That was floating a few feet in front of her. She had no ideal where the spirits was leading her but they wouldn't give her wrap back so she followed quietly. When she got to the falls she stopped and just watched it. The wrap floated just above the water out of arms reach. She couldn't help but sigh she loved the water. Expcally in calm quiet area's like this. seeing that the spirits was just sitting there. she takes her shoes off. sits down at the waters edges and put her feet in the water. She was glad everything has clamed down. it was very stressful to deal with the missing pack members and the spirits. She watched the the starts flicker on the water top letting her mind drift off to nothing.

Alathorn crawled through the trees toward the sound of falling water. He had no idea where he was headed or what he would find on his way there, but he knew he had to get to the water. He was thirsty and the fact that his leg was broken didn't help matters at all. He had to keep moving, his broken leg still bent at an odd angle. He hadn't been able to stop at all. He just needed to get away from where he had been. It didn't matter how.

He'd gone into the river thinking that he would be able to swim downstream a little and get to the shore. When he'd gotten into the water, he'd found that it was far to strong for him to swim against. Even in his human form. He hadn't realized that, right by where he'd entered, there was rapids. During the chaos of the white water that rushed him along, he'd broken his leg. Eventually he was able to get up onto the shore. What a stupid mistake he'd made trying to go through rapids without a raft. It didn't matter now, though. What was done was done.

In a calm part of the river he'd been able to get to shore and crawl out. He'd been crawling for some time, now, and he hadn't found anything to drink since the river he had crawled out of. Now, at the sound of the rushing water, he knew he must be close to something to drink. Slowly he came to the bushes by the pool and froze, for a moment, when he saw the woman by the stream. He could tell, at their last meeting, that she hadn't liked him. That he'd done something in the past that she, now, despised him for. Could he risk an encounter with one that considered him an enemy simply for some water?

The question was answered for him as he found himself involuntarily crawling out of the brush to the water. He was on the other side of the pool from the young woman so his focus was entirely on the water until he got close enough to drink it. Once he'd gotten his fill, maneuvered himself to be resting against a tree, his legs stretched out before him. Even from across the lake, his right leg was very obviously broken half-way between his ankle and his knee. He also had a few fractured ribs, that he could feel, and a bunch of cuts and bruises, some of which he was sure would become infected from him crawling through the dirt all that way.

Elanora heard a noise and looks over to see who or what it was. When she saw Alathorn she blinks and frowns a little. she was enjoying her night. looking back over to her wrap she noticed it was floating towards him. 'oh you got to be kidding me' she thinks. slowly she gets up and walks around to him. Though her wrap would beat her there and fall on his lap.

As she got closer she noticed he was hurt...and pretty badly. stuped fool what did he go do.' she thinks and looks around some. it was early in the season but she found a few herbs that should could ues. depanding on what was wrong. she also found a long branch that was mostly straight. picking that up she wipes some of the dirt off of it.

sighing a little she fiugers she delayed enough any more and the spirits would be yelling at her. slowly she went to him. " what happen" she asks kneeling down next to him and looks to his leg.

Alathorn looked up at her, slightly surprised to see she had a few herbs and a stick in her hand. "I was trying to get away from some people that were chasing," he said. "I found a river and swam up it a little bit to get them off my trail but, when I went to get out of the river, I found it was too strong for me to be able to get out. That was because the river ran into rapids not too much farther along. Unfortunately for me, I had ride through it without any sort of raft." He sighed as he pushed himself up a bit.

"Eventually," he continued. "The river calmed down and I was able to swim out. From there, I crawled my way along for quite a while before I found this lake. By that time I needed the water." He looked at her as he tilted his head. "If I may ask, why are you helping me? I was under the impression that you hated me..."

She listens to him carefully as she layed the stick down next to his good leg. using it to measure where to break the stick so she had two pieces. " that sucks good thing you didn't hit your head." she says laying the sticks down and grabs the bottom of her shirt she carefully ripes the bottom three inches off. " this is going to hurt but we have to set your leg to move you better." she says and looks around not finding anything she reaches into her pouch and digs around in it.

" i do but the spirits want me to help you and i will not argue with them. argue with a spirit is pointless. they don't relized time and what it is to grow old." she says. finding one of her kits she holds it out to him. " here bite on this if you want." she says and looks up to him. " besides you only hurt me here...i'm not just going to let a bear finish you off. i'm sure you made a few friends by now. you use to be able to make friends like nothing." she says moving to get ready to set his leg. once she knew he was ready she would do so as quickly as she could.

Alathorn sighed and nodded. "I know it will hurt," he said. "As for the spirits... Well, I'm glad they don't hate me... I would have done this all myself when I got out of the water but I thought I heard them after me so I had to get away quickly." He sighed as he closed his eyes. When she handed him the thing to bite on, he took it out of politeness but didn't bite on it. "Honestly, I've not been in an area long enough to make friends... I've mostly been traveling. I don't particularly like to stay in one place." When she looked to him to see when he was ready, he nodded and closed his eyes, readying himself for the pain.

She quickly sets his leg and helf it in place for a few moments in cased he moved. " that surprises me." she says placing a stick on either side of his leg and then uses pieces of her shirt to tie them into place. once that was done she sits back to give him a few moments to ignore the pain as she worked on the herbs. using a small piece of cloth to crush them together. " once your able to be moved i'll make sure you get to the hospital to get properly treated." she says with a soft sigh. here she was making a remedy to help his wounds that he taught her to make his last life.

Alathorn winced in pain, his entire body tensing to prevent himself from moving with the pain. After a few seconds, he opened his eyes and sighed. "You probably enjoyed that more than I did," he said, his tone half sarcastic. "Either way, thank you... I feel I owe you, now... More than I already did..." He sighed as he looked off over the pool for a few minutes. "Listen... I know what I did hurt you a lot and me forgetting what I did seems to have hurt you even more... Maybe we can just leave the past where it is and look toward the future... I have a saying that I try to apply to every day life... I may have told it to you and explained it in a previous life but it's been on my mind ever since I can remember, and, honestly, that's not all that far back..." He looked at her and smiled a little.

"The saying is this: Learn from the Past, Live in the Present, Look to the Future... I've learned from my past that, sometimes, things just have to be left in the past... Sometimes we have to let go of things that have happened... I don't expect you to like me all to much but I would prefer you not to hate me. If there's anything I can do to stop you hating me, I will do it. I prefer not to have someone hate me because of mistakes from my past."

It was at that moment he saw something. Almost like a flutter of something that tickled the back of his mind. "Wait," he said, for a moment as he looked at the herbal remedy she was mixing for him. "That... I taught you that... Didn't I? During on of our first meetings... I..." He suddenly broke off and blushed deeply, looking away as the memory came back. "That wasn't me, though," he said. "No... That was in one of my many past lives... It couldn't have been in this life... It was too long ago... It was before the Incident, as the mages called it... They told me I wasn't the same as I am now, before the Incident..."

She looks at him and raises a eye brow. " no i didn't enjoy that...i might be dead but not heartless." she says and looks back to what she was doing. She listens to him and stops working on the thing. The spirits was mad at her from finding him and remmbering. she almost lost control and let her self be corupted by her own anger.

Slowly she looks back to him and pushes some of her long black hair behind her ear. " yes you taught me this in your last life. when you found me with my leg ripped open after i got into a fight with a beast on the spirit plane. " she says moving over to his side she carefully took her wrap from him and set it to her side.

" just incase you doing remember this might sting." she says and carefully she starts to apply the past to his other wounds. her fingers was cold when ever she touched him. " i can't garentee anything sil...Alathorn." she says and sighs. this was going to be very very hard for her. he wasn't the same person she fell for then hated anymore. " i can try but like i said i can't garentee anytthing"

Alathorn sighed as she applied the paste and smiled, remembering that it stung when the wound was infected. "Yes," he replied, his voice soft with remembrance. "I remember... And, whatever I did... I'm deeply sorry... I'm sure there was a reason as to why I did what I did but, as of right now, I don't know what it is that I did..." He sighed and winced ever so slightly as he felt the paste cause quite a few of his wounds to sting. "I would, also, like to thank you again for helping me... Whether the spirits told you to or not, you didn't have to... Maybe when we get to the hospital I can ask Lulu to let me join the pack... It might be time for me to join a pack since, lately, I've been running into a lot more trouble than I would have preferred..."

When she finishes applying the paste to his wounds she stand up and goes to the lake. she washes her hands off in the water. knowing it wouldn't hurt anything in it. Looking back to him. " it's probly best you don't remember." she says going over to where her wrap was and picks it up. she goes about tieing carefully around his waist. so he wanted to join the pack. she will defently keep a eye on him if lulu let him. Looking through her pouches she finds what she looks for and holds a small bundle out to him. " here some homemaid gornla bars. you will need your strength to get to the hospital." she says then takes her water skin off and holds that out to him as well.

Alathorn took the bundle and then felt a flash as yet another memory came to him. "You used to bake for the family," he said in the same tone as before. "Only... It was bread and muffins... Wasn't it? You used to bake the greatest foods... Are these baked by you?" He looked up at her as he couldn't help but smile. The memory was a happy one and he could, just barely, remember holding her close to him as he took a bite of one of her muffin.

Elanora moves so she was a few feet from him and sat down. It was nothing agaist him it was more to be able to keep a eye out for any signs of trouble. slowly she nods a little. " yes i baked a lot and i still do. that is something new i tried out for the little ones. Everyone seemed to like them." she says she thought of the little ones running around in the pack home now and smiles. closing her eyes. she would do anything to keep the little ones safe. one reason she became a guard or what ever the word was for it.

Alathorn nodded, the smile still on his face. Then, he took one out and took a bite. The moment the taste hit his tongue, he paused and closed his eyes, savoring the flavor. Once he had savored the flavor as long as he could, he swallowed and looked at her. "This tastes amazing," he said, smiling. "You really are a great cook. Better than how I remember it from my past life."

Elanora takes a deep breath and nods as she slowly exhaled. " thanks....i guess. " she says and slowly looks up to the sky. oh spirits give her the strength she needed to keep playing nice. she thought to herself. sighing a little she looks back down " sorry i know i'm not much company for the living." she says as the wind softly starts to blow her hair around softly. she watched the spirits that brought her here float away.
