Greetings, Romeo! You've really had a great storyline around here, being a part of two epic tribes and a fast-paced crazy merge, and now the first person on the Jury Welcoming Committee. Thanks for playing hard and really diving deep into this experience. Well done! (((the "Bard" would be proud))) I've added a FINAL WORDS topic to your Confessional, and once it's done, I'll post your Final Words in tonight's Tribal Council for everyone to see. And be sure to check the JURY HOUSE DETAILS thread for more info about your time here. Also.... *EVERY JURY MEMBER NEEDS TO EARN THEIR SPOT TO KEEP THEIR JURY SEAT. PONDEROSA MEMBERS HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT IF A JUROR ISN'T ABLE TO STAY ON THE JURY ~ I WILL BUMP ONE OF THEM INTO AN AVAILABLE SPOT.* *SO, JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE OUT OF THE GAME..........DON'T DISAPPEAR. WE WILL NEED ACTIVE JURORS TO COMPLETE THIS GAME.* *OBVIOUSLY, YOU DON'T HAVE TO LOG IN CONSTANTLY, BUT ALL JURORS NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON AROUND HERE..........AS YOU WILL EACH HAVE AN IMPORTANT VOTE AT THE END.* * * * EACH JUROR NEEDS TO LOG IN A MINIMUM OF AT LEAST THREE TIMES EACH WEEK AND PARTICIPATE AROUND HERE TO KEEP YOUR SPOT IN THE JURY. IF YOU NEED TO BE AWAY....... ........PLEASE INFORM ME BEFOREHAND AND WE'LL SEE IF WE CAN WORK SOMETHING OUT. BUT NO JURY SPOT IS GUARANTEED UNLESS EACH OF YOU REMAIN ACTIVE AND EASY TO REACH HERE IN THE JURY HOUSE. * * * Now.... ~ A few questions for you to answer as you get settled in: 1) How did any of your time on Bonsai or New Jedi play into the merged rounds? 2) Who was ultimately your closest ally? (either throughout, or someone who became tight later on) And who was the person (or persons) that was the hardest to strategically align with? 3) Who are you expecting to see here next? And who do you WANT to see here next? |

I'm still away and using my phone, so can't be as Romeo eloquent as I would like but thought I'd give some answers. 1) I mean, my time in those two tribes defined my fate. I was handicapped in Bonsai because I wasn't around in the crucial early stages. It's obvious bonds that formed then came back to bite me. I just wasn't in that core, and things must have moved at a pace that I could never move up. As for Jedi, I played it about as well as I possibly could (aside from the fact I should have saw the value in booting Trip) but losing that much had a negative impact on weakening the connections I could have had at the merge. IF we win that challenge we did win, does Dan go home? Does that push Trip closer to me? Does entering the merge with Juliet at my side pay big dividends? Losing so much just hurt my options at the merge. I had to be too reliant on a few players and it bit me in the ass. 2) I never really had a true ally, I don't think. I think Juliet was probably the closest thing to it as far as a relationship goes. Trip acted like we were boys and I thought my actions and time together would make him see me as that, but it was very obvious at points that I was not a long-term option for him. The way he tried to spin the Lucy boot was insulting. This was someone I had tried, painfully so, to always lay the cards out on the table and sift through the options. He possibly made a good move for himself, but socially, his game sucked when you weren't of value to him. I really hit it off with Atreyu in the last few rounds, but part of me thinks he might have played me the most. Kudos to him if he did though. That would be fantastic. If not, well, I wish I had found him sooner. 3) I don't really know who will be here tomorrow night. And I also don't really know who I am rooting for. It was such a crazy topsy-turvy game that I almost feel like the patients are running the asylum. I very well could be wrong, but I think some serious gamers went out early. It's almost process of elimination for me. Max and Wes don't deserve any chance at winning and if they sit at the end it will be because someone let them, thinking they'd be easy to beat. And even if they earned it in their second chance, I just don't believe anyone who was voted out should win. Sorry, they didn't play better games then me. I survived 8 tribal councils - Max has survived 3. I do think he's a good player though, but I would love to see him here. Apollo just ignored me at the merge and socially, bad form. Hell, I'm probably rooting for Atreyu and (gulp) Laurie at this point. My guess is Rose comes tomorrow if they are looking for an easy vote, Wes if they want to remove an X-factor and Atreyu if he was really on the outs during my boot. We will see, and of course a ton can happen. I have no idea. Just speculation. |

At the moment, I'm seeing either two options. Possibly a unanimous vote, or possibly a deadlock. It's like New Jedi all over again.

Unanimous would be for Rose or Wes - tie could be Apollo or Atreyu. I will definitely be interested to see. Should get home right around the time for a Welcome Party. |

This F8 round is currently blowing my mind! I've seen so many different scenarios, but no clue which way it's really gonna roll. And of course, there's still a few hours for it to change again.

Without giving too much away, did I make any dent in the F9 round or was it pretty much me all along? |

Back even before the Lucy vote, I was wondering IF Lucy was the target that round, if you might be able to get Trip the next round. I'll say that at F9, I had you very high in my Power Rankings. Even though you had been on the short side of the Lucy vote, I was wondering if you might have been able to recover some numbers at F9. |

I'm going to be very interested to see where I screwed up or how I misplayed it. I probably was just a little too aggressive when subtler game play was necessary. The interesting question is: do you think the returning players twist hurt or helped my game? |

Tough call, because without those two coming back in, I do think many of the female characters were going to try to play GENDER WAR at the merge. I do think you likely would have been in their sights. Whether they could have pulled it off or fallen apart...........speculation on my part. |

Again, can't wait to read your write-ups, but do you think I made right call between Lucy and Juliet? Would she have potentially been more valuable? |

Really tricky for me to give much more speculation than that. I think I know how Juliet would have played the merge, but not 100%. I walk a fine line about pitching my thoughts once we're at the Jury House. There's always a chance a Ponderosa person could get bumped up here if there's a conflict down the road. I'll try to give my two cents in here from time to time, but I have to be careful not to taint anything.

Yeah. Of course, no worries. I'm looking forward to getting some company tonight and have some active, open discussions. Oh, and I will be back at my computer tonight - the GIFs are coming. Oh yes, the GIFs are coming. |
