Greetings, Apollo!

*DING DING DING DING DING.* Apollo fights hard in the ring, but is ultimately knocked out.
Alas, it wasn't meant to be. But thanks for playing hard and being a great competitor.

I've added a FINAL WORDS topic to your Confessional, and once it's done, I'll post your Final Words in tonight's Tribal Council for everyone to see.

And be sure to check the JURY HOUSE DETAILS thread for more info about your time here.

Also....

*EVERY JURY MEMBER NEEDS TO EARN THEIR SPOT TO KEEP THEIR JURY SEAT. PONDEROSA MEMBERS HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT IF A JUROR ISN'T ABLE TO STAY ON THE JURY ~ I WILL
BUMP ONE OF THEM INTO AN AVAILABLE SPOT.*

*SO, JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE OUT OF THE GAME..........DON'T DISAPPEAR. WE WILL NEED ACTIVE JURORS TO COMPLETE THIS GAME.*

*OBVIOUSLY, YOU DON'T HAVE TO LOG IN CONSTANTLY, BUT ALL JURORS NEED TO KNOW WHAT
IS GOING ON AROUND HERE..........AS YOU WILL EACH HAVE AN IMPORTANT VOTE AT THE END.*

* * * EACH JUROR NEEDS TO LOG IN A MINIMUM OF AT LEAST THREE TIMES EACH WEEK AND PARTICIPATE AROUND HERE TO KEEP YOUR SPOT IN THE JURY. IF YOU NEED TO BE AWAY.......
........PLEASE INFORM ME BEFOREHAND AND WE'LL SEE IF WE CAN WORK SOMETHING OUT. BUT
NO JURY SPOT IS GUARANTEED UNLESS EACH OF YOU REMAIN ACTIVE AND EASY TO REACH
HERE IN THE JURY HOUSE. * * *

Now....

~ A few questions for you to answer as you get settled in:

1) Who was your most important alliance member in the game?

2) What was your most critical round/move and why?

3) What would you do differently if you could go back to the very beginning of the game?

1) Who was your most important alliance member in the game?

Without a doubt Dan was the man as far as I was concerned. Dan was the only that I spent the entire game with from the start of the game...to our time on Bonsai...to the New Krypton tribe...and on to the Merge. He never once waivered on me and I would have played to the end of the game with him no doubt. Trouble is EVERYONE else knew it too...which is a large part of why I am sitting here.

2) What was your most critical round/move and why?

I know where my game took a turn without a doubt. It was my trying to be a nice guy and letting Buttercup know that the powers that be (Trip and Lucy) were trying to turn the vote on her. I tried to warn her in a way that didn't name names and it backfired. BC put a huge target on me and Trip lost faith (if he ever had any) in me then and there. That is when I became his pawn and my game never recovered.

3) What would you do differently if you could go back to the very beginning of the game?

I wouldn't have had so many real life conflicts...they really hindered me throughout this game...but hell least I tried. Otherwise I wouldn't have changed much...just might not have trusted some people as much as I did.

So, how did this go down? I half-called it - I knew it would be you or Trip tonight (especially after Wes' immunity win). I'm sure Daniel backed you, and I'm thinking Laurie did, too. The only question I had was whether Atreyu would stick it out, or fall in with Trip.

But that's all supposition. Give us the dirt, man!

Well Trip couldn't be here tonight and said he pre-voted Wes with Laurie as the back up...but he actually pre-voted for me.

This much is definite...Atreyu/Wes/Rose voted for me. Me/Dan voted for Trip. I think that Laurie voted Trip as well...she swore to me she did.

I knew I was in trouble after Saturday night but I was slow in realizing.

You know the 5 had agreed at F8 the vote would be for Wes. That was what I wanted. I knew you and Trip would square off but I expected it at F7. Early that Saturday night Trip came to me and said he wanted to change the vote to you and all he needed was my vote. I told him that was a mistake because 1) Wes needed to go and 2) because Dan would never be ready to vote you at F8. Trip tried to convince me we didn't need Dan but there was no way I was trusting Trip over Dan. Eventually Trip told me he agreed (Trip hates having his plans messed with) and said we would vote Wes. That's when I think he figured that he would just target me instead. Trip has a nasty habit of turning on those he gets close to (Lucy could attest to that).

After you told me what you had done (and Laurie had already clued me in but said you were regretting it) I still wanted to keep the vote Wes. But Trip gave me a "its my way or the highway" sort of stance because you told him his best move was to force a tie. There was no way he wasn't going after you then.

I was hesitant to follow because I was really starting to question Trip...but I always felt like you would go after me at some point because I helped to vote you out on Bonsai. Again you can thank Trip for that one too...more on that later.

Not 10 mins after voting you out Max...I was already regretting it. Damn I wish we had compared more notes on Trip.

So do I, man.

But the fact is, I think it would have been a tie on Sunday night, regardless. Trip is way more convincing than I am, and I don't doubt that both Atreyu and Rose ate it up. I tried very hard to get Rose on board, but I know how she voted. She never answered my question about who she was voting for, and evaded it three times.

So you know, I don't blame you for voting for me on Sunday. A tie could have screwed our four just as easily as voting me out would have.

Also, I was just as worried about you. Trip played into my own fears that you and Dan would flip things at F7 and go after me, and that's how he won me over, if only briefly. And yes, I regret that more than anything else I did in this game. It created the fiasco that broke our four, when all we needed to do was pull off that F8 vote and we were home free. I take all the blame for that, because it wasn't until hours later that I realized what Trip's game was.

And I agree, I think Laurie voted for Trip, too.

Now that you're out, the game has room to change again. Trip, I'm certain, was concerned about how close you and Dan were. I don't think he realizes how close Laurie and Dan are. With a little - well, a bit more than a little - luck, those two may be able to pull off a coup at F6.

Anyway, welcome to the Jury, man.

Trip is a nasty piece of work...you have to consider I was with the guy from like day 2. He was second only to Dan in my eyes for most of the game. We "bonded" early on based on getting a late start at the game. I got really close to Trip on Bonsai.

Max you remember that me you and Dan made a pact going into Bonsai...and it was one I intended to keep. But for awhile there our conversations seemed to slip....you remember we talked about that. Wes was always supposed to be the first to go.

I knew that Dan and I were solid (we already had a F2 agreement) and at first I felt good about our deal with you. Then there seemed to be some distance between you and me. It was obvious that Romeo didn't want anything to do with me. So that left me and Trip to talk more and more. It was Trip that called out all your alliances. Plus I knew you were getting close to Dan. Couldn't let you get closer to him than me. So me and Trip pulled in Wes (who I kept safely on the line as a 'just in case' sort of thing and basically strong-armed Dan into voting you out. That's how that all came about.

Then here is where Romeo came in. Everyone had been comparing notes on you Romeo and we knew you were very slick. No one felt like they could trust you and that made us all nervous. If none of us felt like you were close to us then that meant you were a danger at the merge. So the last challenge on Bonsai...Me, Dan and Trip decided to try and throw it to vote you out. The thought process was it was better going into a swap with Wes because everyone in the game wanted Wes gone so he would be easy to lose. We were worried that you would look for better options Romeo. So we tried to throw that challenge...but turns out Jedi was better at losing a challenge than we were at throwing one, lol.

Actually, I was already loyal to you and Dan at that point. Sure, I was talking to other people - you have to talk to other people - and even courting them a little, because you never know when you might need another vote to make something happen. But I wasn't playing you.

Now, was there a danger I might get closer to Dan than to you? Maybe, but I doubt it. Dan's a lot like me, and his first solid connection is the one he sticks with. Like I did with Laurie. If we had gotten to F4 together, it would have been a straight up fight, and a damned good chance of a tie. Laurie and I weren't going to budge, and I really doubt Dan would have either.

Those things we talked about - getting to F4 and letting the chips fall at that point, letting the best man win, etc. Yeah, much as I worried over it, as much as I was concerned you and Dan would make a move at F7 or F5, if I got no wind of it, I'd have played through.

And that's what Trip used against me - the knowledge that I was worried about a F7 flip from you and Dan.

More fun facts about Trip.

Trip and I had both bonded with Lucy (and a bit with Johnny) in the early stages of the game. We knew that Buttercup was in that mix too. So Trip and I came up with a plan that during the swap we would work towards building those bonds to ensure a tight voting block at the merge. We knew we could use Wes as a shield for at least one vote to give us time to work something out.

So when Trip and I were split in the swap I went to work on Buttercup and I knew Trip would work on Lucy and Johnny. I knew I was going the right direction when Buttercup told me that Lucy had told her that I was someone to talk to and that a recommendation from Lucy was something she paid attention to. I also found out that Atreyu was also in with the Lucy group...another plus considering I got along very well with Atreyu. The trouble was...nobody anticipated that there was an even deeper deal with Buttercup/Rose/Lucy. Like final 3 from day one deal. Rose was in the majority over there with her Krypton girls (Marion and Laurie) and Buttercup slid right in to that (with Atreyu in tow). Granted Rose and Marion did their best to try and convince me and Dan they were with us...it was painfully obvious. So the target fell on Dan immediately if not sooner, lol.

I was able to win over Buttercup to a point and had Atreyu looking for better options when we went into the merge. We were truly fortunate to have won so many challenges.

Ok here is the second time I pretty much insured that Romeo and I would never be able to work together. The Krypton 7(what a joke) was pulling the whole lets stick together thing and looking for a target. Trip and Romeo were (of course) the top two on the list. In order to keep the target off Trip I pushed for Romeo as being the bigger threat. I will own that...sorry bud.

Thinking things were great considering we had Lucy, Buttercup, Atreyu, Me, Trip, Dan...(with Rose as well). I figured I was finally in for some relief and wouldn't have to worry about being the target as much. No sooner did we merge and Trip and Lucy tell me they are taking out Buttercup. That really pissed me off...I put a lot of hard work into that relationship with Buttercup and Atreyu (seriously...have you ever had to deal with Buttercup...not an easy task). Buttercup had no clue they had turned on her...and I don't think Atreyu had been told either. I tried to warn them and it backfired. Buttercup wanted me to forward her the emails to her where Trip and Lucy were targeting her. There was no way I was doing that. So BC got pissed and threw me under the bus when all I was trying to do was warn her. Naturally it got back to Trip and Lucy...who although they stuck by me were very pissed. That was when Trip decided to flip the script on Lucy (for absolutely no reason that I can tell). Needless to say I was starting to have my doubts about Trip at that point. But from that point on I was too busy trying to cover my ass to do much about it.

Max I realized too late that you and I were ok in Bonsai. You remember how we had that talk were we both admitted we were a little worried about the other. I know I felt much better about us after we had that talk.

When we came up with the four deal with Dan and Laurie...I actually liked that a lot. Felt good about it and yes Dan and I had the same discussions that you and Laurie had but really did think we were the best way to go to the end.

I felt really good about you and Laurie because I knew that Laurie really liked Dan and over time Laurie and I got along really well too. Added bonus I always liked you but yes I was skeptical about you at the same time.

When we all decided that we needed to make the others believe we were not that tight you and Laurie were much better at throwing my name around...so I worried about that a bit, lol. But you both always told me about it so I had faith. But there was many times I thought to myself "Damn you too...enough is enough lay off Apollos name" lol.

Apollo, welcome! When we swapped I considered you the Bonsai I liked the most. Once we merged, Trip moved quick to poison the water between us. Whether there was truth to that or not, wish we'd compared notes more. Kick back and enjoy.

Romeo I have no doubt in my mind that Trip kept us apart. Thanks for the welcome. :)

Ok Brobst...no comments for poor old Apollo? Where is the luv dude??? :P

He's very very busy hoping to catch up around the board. :D This is usually the point where I have to start letting the Jury House and Ponderosa cook on their own.

I peek in when I can.......but if I get caught up in Jury discussions, I just get further behind.

Plus, there's really nothing I can offer that wouldn't affect all Juror's POV's.

I can't confirm or deny what y'all think happened behind the scenes on each round.
