My plan (and I think Apollo's too) was to vote either Trip or Max out at 5. I know I hadn't made up my mind on which was the best way to go. From the sound of it, Apollo or I may have even been in trouble that round.

That was the plan. At first I was leaning toward going Max because I trusted Trip more...but Trip's stories were starting to no add up and I was feeling better and better about Max everyday.

Max would you do the honors of starting a challenge discussion thread tonight? :D

Obviously, I don't know for sure which way I'd have gone at F5 if we were all still there at that point, but my gut tells me I'd have gone with voting out Trip. And I know, it's strategically the worse move, not breaking up the Apollo/Dan pair. My only rationale is that I'd been with Dan and Apollo longer, and I feel pretty strongly about rewarding loyalty. Bad strategy, almost certainly, but still MY right choice, I think.

I'm just curious what Laurie would have done if you tried to vote me out at five. She claimed to me after you were voted out that she never had a final four with them and that you and me were the only two she had wanted to go to three with.

Of course she said that, LOL. Laurie was definitely in the F4 deal of that I am certain. I even think she had two F3 in that deal.

Oh, I have no doubt that she did. We'll find out soon enough which she was set on, but I bet my whole game that her F3 with me and Dan was real, and her F2 with me was real.

This conversation makes me feel all the more confident that I did the right thing for me. :D

You did Trip. That's why I got such a chuckle out of some of the bitterness around here.

Seriously, I was never bitter, Romeo. I don't LIKE Trip's game, but I have mad respect for it. And I already said that I think he made the right move trying to change things up when he did.

I think me and Max play very different games. That's what makes Survivor so crazy. People see it so differently.

Romeo, I think we play more similar games, though we obviously have our differences. I think things would have gone differently if you had come home from vacation BEFORE the Max vote.

Probably. I was in the air when everything went down - so it made me feel even more out of the loop that I didn't even have a proactive message telling me what went down. It made me feel like all of the strategy went on behind my back - which it did - and thus, made me feel left out.

Max, I use "bitter" for lack of a better word. It's more just a personal confusion with disliking someone's game who A) bested you and B) you weren't going to take to the end of the game anyways.

You, Dan and Apollo were not going to take Trip to the end. You had closer allies than Trip. He had every right to make a move against you. It was smart of him. I never got why you begrudged him of that, other than that it ended in your own demise.

Again - ad nauseum on that debate though, ha.

I kinda sorta agree with Romeo. :P

I would like to know what your point is against me. I know you say you respect my game, but you wouldn't vote for me to win. My question is why? You say it's because I wasn't loyal, etc. I would say if I wasn't getting to the end with you, that means you weren't loyal either? Did you just want me to lay down and die?

Just curious.

I've explained this several times already. Maybe I'll do it again, if you really want me to, but not tonight. It's been a long, draining day already. If you really want me to go over it again - and I'll try to be as clear as I can - let me know and I'll do it on Saturday. Is that OK?

Funny how you assume to know how I would have went....funny because even I don't know that. Not sure Dan does either. I KNOW I wanted to go to F5 with Max and Trip. I know I was starting to distrust Trip more...but I had been F3 close to Trip for much of the game. I was starting to trust Max more and more. Naturally after coming to the Jury house all illusions were washed away and I knew who was more loyal. But in the game I was still weighing that decision.

You've said multiple times that you would never turn on Dan. Dan was your Man. So, Trip was on the outside of that.

Max has said multiple times that Laurie was his closest friend and ally. Trip was on the outside of that.

It's not about F5 - it's about being in a position to win. Why would he go to F3 with you two when he knew he was on the outside? Why would he eliminate other options that bettered his chances of sitting at the end?
