Victim conference to be in Natchez By Mary Hood (Contact) | The Natchez Democrat Published Saturday, January 31, 2009 NATCHEZ — A two-day teen victimization convention will take place in Natchez next week. The Mississippi Attorney General’s Office has partnered with the National Center for Victims of Crime to offer training to any interested parties. “Research shows that our young people, ages 12 to 19, are more likely to experience a violent crime than any other age group,” Attorney General Jim Hood said. “This conference will bring together our social workers, victim advocates, psychologists, school counselors and others who work with teens, to hopefully unify our fight against teem victimization.” The conference will be at the Natchez Convention Center Feb. 4 and 5. http://www.natchezdemocrat.com/news/2009/j...nce-be-natchez/ |
