The Caniacs came out in full droves as thousands of fans filled the PNC areana as the Stanley Cup winning Hurricanes opened their camp. With several new veteran additions to an already powerful team, the chance for up and coming rookie players to break the opening night line up, look slim. When asked the question about can the Hurricanes repeat, the head coach wasn't ready to make any predictions but simply said " when the playoffs start and the Canes are in the mix, anything can happen". The coach also added, "our young guys in Charlotte have to be ready at a moments notice, the man games lost to injury last year were just ridiculous". The Canes will be working on a new strengthening and conditioning workout this year and have added a mandatory yoga class to help relax the mind, body and soul. When asked about the new exercise regiment, Canes captain Ilya Kovolchuk said, " I'm at "peace" with it". |
