Despite the loss in game 1 we have our sights set on bringing the Stanley Cup back to Texas. Our offseason acquisitions played well and the team gelled from the start putting 2 goals on the board early. The fast pace and lack of penalties tested our conditioning and mental toughness to start the season resulting in the 3-2 loss. I can assure our fans these issues will be addressed in practice. While it's too early to shake things up drastically a few minor changes will be made for the games with Calgary and Edmonton next up on our schedule.

After some recent additions to our lineup we are back on track with a 4-game winning streak! We are happy with the direction the team is headed but cannot rule out adding a couple more pieces to our puzzle. The Cup is the ultimate goal and we are committed to acheiving that goal. Also, I have spoken with Coach Puckmeister(member of The Beer Horns) and can assure all our fans that the new defensive scheme being played in Columbus was NOT used in the EASHL by The Beer Horns and will not make it's way to the Stars nor will any Stars be involved in a trade for a BJ.
