Serenity I sighed softly at her son-in-law's uncertainty, understanding shining in her baby blue eyes. "I know where you are coming from, Helios...I was once in your shoes with Chibi-usa..." it was an endearment she still used, even though her daughter was grown and running the Kingdom. "When she was just a child our kingdom was attacked, as you remember, and in the wake of that attack I was forced to make a choice I probably would not have made, otherwise. Yet, sending my only daughter, my young child, into the past to train with my younger self...it was the best decision I could have made. That does not mean I was not apprehensive. There was so much that could go wrong...and yet...I knew I needed to trust not only my instincts as a Mother and Queen, but also the capabilities of my past self and my daughter.

"Despite all that had happened, all that might happen, there was always one thing I had to hold to." here the Queen smiled, reaching out to take hold of Helios' shoulders so that she might look up into his golden eyes. "Hope. Where there is hope, there is strength and the power to overcome any odds. I think you, of all people, can relate to the power and strength of hope." she winked at the young man, then embraced him with tenderness.

"They are young, indeed...but so was I...so was Chibi-usa. It seems it is the curse and gift of the Senshi to start their journey at a young and tender age, or so it would seem. Be thankful that in this day they have some understanding of what it is to be a Senshi...and they are not alone. They have the knowledge and wisdom of their elders, the trust and endearance of their Guardians, and the companionship of their friends. Somehow, I know they will prevail..."

"As for Endymion." here she sighed, releasing Helios and stepping back. "There is something on his mind, but he has yet to confide in me. I know when he is ready, he will do so...but until then, I must be patient. It is simply his way...." though she had to admit she was worried about what might be on her husband's mind.

"And Trea..."

Serenity did not get the chance to finish her thought, however, for at that precise moment a knock sounded at the door. Out of curiosity more than anything the Queen Mother turned. "Enter, please!" she smiled brightly, her tone cheerful. The guard that opened the door returned the smile with a salute.

"Her majesty Serenity II wishes to inform his Majesty that she will be in the dining hall with their daughter, and would request the pleasure of his company there."

"Ah! It seems the Moon has released her. We should go discover what was revealed in Serenity's prayers..." here the Queen Mother glanced over her shoulder at Helios, clearly intending for him to lead the way.

************************************************************

Kaimana bit her lip at Aria's words, sort of regretting bringing up the topic. After all, by the way Aria spoke, her father was that in blood and title, and nothing more. 'A glorified sperm donor, as Eida would say...' the thought entered her mind unbidden and she instantly pushed it aside, thankful that she was less brash than her sister. Eida would have just said it out loud rather than thinking it.

"I see..." was the only response Kai was able to muster when Aria finished speaking, and when the woman asked why she had brought the question to the light Kai glanced away. The truth was, she wasn't sure she wanted to bring up the topic of Aria's being a Senshi of Uranus and how that was even possible...and yet, if she didn't bring it up, someone would. Likely her Hapa, and SHE would probably be less...tactful about it.

"It's just...you're being a Senshi. From everything I understand, you have to have some sort of relation to the original Senshi to share that power. A blood relation..." aqua eyes had turned back to Aria, but they flickered toward Miyako, as if asking for her to confirm this statement. "I find it strange that you would have that power when...well, you're not a blood relation. At least, as far as I know..." and here she trailed off, because she couldn't help feeling as if she were somehow insulting or accusing Aria of something...though what that something was she wasn't entirely sure of.

Not that Aria was given a chance to reply to this statement, or any perceived insult, because at that moment the door to the dining hall opened, and who should enter but the Queen of their Kingdom, Serenity II. Kai had turned at the sound of the door opening, wondering if someone were looking for any of them, only to have her eyes widen at the sight of Serenity standing there looking at them.

"Hello, ladies. It seems much has happened while I was detained..."

Either Cheng'e was only dozing, or she was carefully tuned to the sound of the Queen's voice, because when Queen Serenity II spoke into the conversation, the baby-pink tabby woke, instantly. One moment she was curled up on the table beside her empty bowl of cream, and the next she was on her feet and across that table, facing the Queen and bowing at her.

"My Queen! Such a pleasure to see you, Serenity! I hope you are well..." as polite as possible the feline spoke while bowed over her front paws, then she carefully rose to stare up at the pig-tailed woman.

"Cheng'e, it is a pleasure to see you, as well." Serenity smiled softly down at the feline, magenta eyes gleaming with amusement. Though she was used to a measure of politeness and deference from her populace, she always found it humorous that the Mauians--any Mauians, not just Luna and Artemis' line--were always polite to her, even if she considered them family. Apparently it was just in their nature. Diana had been the same way with Usagi and Mamoru years and years ago, when they had both just been children traveling through time.

"And I am pleased to see that you are all safe." here Serenity II turned her eyes back to the rest of the group. There were only three at that moment, but one of them was a stranger to the Queen. Smiling sweetly at Aria, Serenity stepped closer. "I do not believe you and I have met, and seeing as you know my name, I find myself at a disadvantage." the Queen smiled and winked, proving she was only teasing.

Aria was about to take another cookie when Kaimana's line of questioning turned to her having senshi powers. "Stranger things have happened.." Aria said at first but paused. Withdrawing her hand, she gave a thoughtful look. She did not want to go and start explaining about her powers. At least not until she met with the queen first.

"I have my own theory about it.." Aria explained, trying to provide some sort of answer to Kaimana's question while diverting away from a full explanation. She did hear the ding of a bell behind her, indicating the door had opened but she didn't react to it at first. Her first indication that Kaimana probably didn't catch what she had was that the other woman was now staring wide eyed.

The new voice, followed by Cheng'e's reaction, only served to solidify the thought about who was now in the building with them. While Aria would have noticed the visitor at first through the corner of her eye when they came in, she was so focused on Kaimana that the visitor went unnoticed. Sitting as rigid as a statue, Aria turned slowly to face the queen, feeling a bit flabbergasted and at a complete loss for words.

Serenity's teasing wink didn't really help to calm her nerves that much. But, regardless, the Queen did greet her and the only sensible thing to do would be to at least introduce herself. "A-Aria..." she stammered. "..my n-name is Aria.."

OOC: I'm sorry, I had posted earlier this week but I don't see it now. I bet I forgot to actually post the reply...

IC:
Helios held up his hands and nodded. "You are right, Mother. You are always right," Helios gave her a tired smile. "The father in me is taking over my better judgement." It was then they were asked to head to the dining hall. Helios offered the Queen his arm and led her from the room.

Miyako listened carefully to the dialogue between Aria and Kaimana. Aria was going to be an interesting person to get to know. When her mother entered the room, Miyako stood up and bowed, as was custom when among guests. She smiled brightly, happy that the Queen looked much more lively than when they had parted on the ship. She fought back the urge to hug her mother, unsure if it was completely appropriate. There would be plenty of time for hugs later.

Miyako put her hand on Aria's arm and smiled. "I promise my father is much less scary," She turned to her mother. "I thought cookies would help everyone recover from such a trying day."

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Aria." Serenity, II offered once the girl had introduced herself. At that moment Miyako caught her attention and, unable to help herself, the Queen crossed the room to embrace her. There was an almost possessive feel to the hug, as if the Queen fully expected Miyako to up and float away at any moment. The hug lingered several moments before Serenity, II finally pulled away and released her daughter.

"I thought cookies would help everyone recover from such a trying day."

"That was probably a good decision." the pink-headed Queen said with a smile, "I think it is in the nature of our family to find solace in sweet things, and today's events definitely require a bit of comfort-food." taking a breath, she turned back to the rest of the group, once more putting on the 'friendly queen' face rather than the 'worried mother' face. Looking at them, she could tell they'd been through a lot that day, and yet...it wasn't over. If what she'd gathered from her prayers was any indication, this war was only just beginning. That's why the Guardians had been awakened, though whoever it was waking them up...well, at least they seemed, for the moment, to be an ally.

"I am rather out of the loop..." Serenity, II quickly found herself a seat, shifting it so that she was facing the four girls whose snack-time she had interrupted. "I know there was an attack on the palace, but I'm afraid I do not know the details. Would you girls be willing to fill me in?" though she gave off a friendly demeanor, there was a glint in her eye that was all business.

"To be honest, Majesty, Miyako and I are not as well informed on the situation, either. Neither she nor I were involved in the attack...save for the aftermath." Cheng'e offered in a soft, polite voice. Though her gaze remained politely locked on the Queen's magenta eyes while she spoke, the moment she finished her baby-pink eyes landed on Miyako, as if seeking approval.

"I see..." Serenity, II glanced from Cheng'e to her daughter, then back to the feline. The kitten nodded, absently curling her tail tightly around her paws where she sat on the table. "Very well, what about you two?" here the Queen turned toward Aria and Kaimana. She knew Kaimana was the new Senshi of Neptune, but Aria was a new face. She could only assume she had been involved in some fashion, either as one of the new Senshi that were popping up like dandelions in spring, or as a civilian victim of the attack. Whatever the case, one of them would be able to give her some sort of insight, or so she hoped.

"Well, your majesty," Kaimana licked her lips, feeling a little put on the spot. She'd never actually spoken directly to the Queen in more than a cursory manor, like greeting the woman at one of the many balls she'd gone to in the past. This was decidedly more intimate a conversation, one she had never thought to have. What was more, she wasn't entirely sure what to say! For one, she didn't want to overstep her bounds, and for two, she really didn't know that much about HOW the battle started. She had just shown up to save her sister and destroy the monsters that had been created to torment the people in the gardens. "I'm not sure if there's much to tell..." she wanted to look toward Aria for back up, but she really wasn't certain if she could count on the red-head for such. Besides, Aria had her own issues to deal with...and her own explanations to make. After all, she had been the one that had really wanted to speak with the Queen!

"To be honest, my sister probably knows a bit more. She was, apparently, the one that the enemy targeted." here Kaimana sighed, softly, her expression shifting to something mingling fear and frustration. Fear because she could have easily lost her twin that day, and frustration because Eida had seemed to just brush it off as nothing. "The, ah...blonde...the one that seems to be at the center of the recent attacks, came upon Nereida and some of her friends in the gardens. She used her magic to create a really large sphere that she filled with water and...monsters." for a moment Kai was back at the battle, staring up at the huge, blue-black sphere of water and watching the creatures inside attack the people that had been trapped. Attacking her sister...the way her sister had looked after ward.

"I was on one side with the blonde man, the one dressed in white and gold that has been showing up to fight the bad guys, and I guess there were several other people on the other side, though the...bubble? Yes, I guess 'bubble' is as good a description as any. The bubble was REALLY big, and it was impossible to tell who was on the other side, let alone who was inside it. I think the only reason I could tell Nereida was in there was because she was close to the side I was on. That...and our connection." Kaimana trailed off for a moment, then shook her head and turned her aqua eyes back up to the Queen. "I really didn't do much, your Majesty. Someone else was responsible for breaking the bubble, I just prevented the water from hurting the people that were on the outside with me." Once again she trailed off, her expression making it clear she felt a little guilty. "Sorry..." she finally mumbled, her eyes dropping toward the floor with embarrassment. She could have done more, perhaps...Nereida sure thought she should have, and now that she was telling the Queen about her rather less-than-stellar role in the whole enemy attack, she wondered why she HADN'T done more.

"You have no reason to be sorry, Kaimana. You did remarkably well. Considering your relative inexperience with being a Senshi, I am proud simply to know that you arrived to help. That speaks well to your character. I am sure that, with practice, experience, and time, you will be more able to meet the unexpected in the future." Serenity smiled softly at the teal-haired teen, watching as Kaimana's gaze came up and she smiled with relief and just a little pride in herself. She deserved to feel that pride. It took courage to run INTO the danger rather than away from it, no matter the reason for your trying to help.

Now the Queen turned to Aria, her head tilting to one side, slightly. Pink locks of hair slipped off her shoulder with the movement, rippling and shimmering in the light. "And what was your role in all of this Aria?" she asked, her eyes locked on the girls in such a fashion that the red-head would find it difficult to break that gaze. And yet, there was nothing of intimidation in that look, only patience and the offer of understanding. In truth, having carefully watched Aria, Miyako, and Cheng'e while Kaimana offered what information she could, the Queen was beginning to believe Aria's role was a bit more interactive than even Kai's. In fact, she was willing to bet that, somehow, this girl was also a Senshi.

Fortunately, the Queen seemed to be genuinely pleased at the introduction and promptly moved over to hug her daughter. The topic almost immediately turned to the events of the day and while Miyako, Cheng'e and Kaimana could offer few details, Aria had a bit more knowledge on the matter. The redhead found herself unable to tear her gaze away from the pink hair queen's.

"Well-" Aria started, taking a deep breath soon after. "-if you are thinking what I believe you might be thinking, you are right." That was a nice, polite but vague way of confirming what the queen probably thought: Aria was a senshi. "I was not there at the start of the battle. I arrived toward the end but when I did get there, I saw a massive bubble filled with people and three monsters of some sort. There was a young man at the bottom of the bubble trying to break it open but his water based attacks didn't seem to have any effect. I attempted to help him break the bubble so that the people trapped inside could swim to freedom." Clenching her fist, Aria's gaze hardened briefly. "That's when I saw that purple haired bi-er..skank that was at the attack on the Serenity. I attacked her and she seemed genuinely enraged by the fact that I used a wind based attack against her and promptly responded with an attack of her own. At that point, she chose to burst the bubble..I don't know why. Once I was able to regain my senses and surface for air, I tried to help as many people as I could that were unable to swim to get out of the water. There were others doing the same."

Tapping her index finger on the table, more of a nervous tick than anything, glanced over to Miyako and Cheng'e. "Once everyone was out of the water, I left the scene..well, more like staggered away. My transformation did not fade at will as it had before, but rather, due to sheer exhaustion. I don't recall when but I must have passed out at some point because I had an injury on her forehead when Miyako and Cheng'e found me and, ultimately, helped me to get to the hospital."

"Once there, I overheard some yelling related to the incident and asked to speak with the owner of the voice, at which point I was introduced to Kaimana. The four of us sat in my hospital room for a bit before coming here to this shop and we continued to speak until you showed up and, well, you know the rest." Aria finished. It was more nerves than anything that caused to lay out not just what she experienced at the battle but also the time after up until present. She really was at a loss here.

There was nothing in the Queen's expression to suggest to them what her thoughts or feelings may be to the information Aria offered on top of that she had already received from Kaimana and Cheng'e. However, when Aria finally finished, she did nod and her gaze turned thoughtful.

"So, the enemy attacked Nereida, a Princess of Neptune. Interesting, but not entirely surprising." the Queen sighed somewhat sadly and gave Kaimana an apologetic smile. "The enemy will likely target many of the people we love and care for. We will need to be sure to warn everyone's families to be extra careful while they are out and about, and not to trust anyone they are not intimately familiar with. Though, I fear that is the best we can do, at this juncture. I wish I could do more..." taking a soft breath, the Queen moved on.

"I think it safe to assume the man that you tried to help, Aria, was a new Knight of Neptune, Triton." here she looked to Kai, raising a brow. "Have you had a chance to meet him, Kaimana?"

"Ah....yes." Kaimana blinked, surprised that the man would be brought up so suddenly. Then again, perhaps she should not have been. "I did not realize he was involved in the attack, though. We...met breifly in the infirmary, but before we could do more than introduce ourselves to each other, he was rushing off and Miyako was asking for my attention." she glanced toward the Princess, as if requesting her confirmation, then back to the Queen. "So, though we have met, I don't really know him or where he came from."

"That is well, though where he came from can be saved for your conversation with him and, perhaps, your grandmother." Serenity, II offered with a breif smile. "For now I think it best we focus on the attack. Kaimana, you said that a man with silver hair dressd in white helped you?"

"More like I helped him." Kai offered with a sheepish shrug. "I showed up after he and his friend. The man introduced himself as Kunzite."

The man's name sent a sudden rush down the Queen's spine and her eyes widened with surprise. However, she was quick to school her features. The expression of shock would have passed over her face so briefly that if any of them had noticed, they might question if they'd really seen what they thought they saw. For Serenity, II, she could only fall into deep contemplation. She KNEW that name, Kunzite, and the moment she had heared it a lot of things made sense. The other men that had arrived to help with previous battles also came to the forefront of her mind, and with their faces she was almost certain of their identities.

'So...the Shitennou...but are they truly allies, or are they enemies?' she filed this question away for later contemplation. She would have to bring it up with her husband, and perhaps with her father. Both of them would know, for sure, if they could trust the reborn figures of the Shitennou or not. 'Though...why haven't they come to me before now, I wonder?' this, too, would have to wait for a later time, unfortunately, but it was a question she would keep in mind for that future conversation.

"He was really trying to help break the bubble. I think some of the reason it burst was his doing. He was able to crack it with his sword before it popped. Then I was so busy trying to keep him and everyone else from getting swept away. When it was all over, I sort of collapsed with exhaustion, myself..."

"That is understandable, Kaimana. Such use of power at such an extreme scale often leaves one feeling exhausted. Both you and Aria were shown that lesson, today, and you should keep it close to heart for future battles. You, as well, Miyako. Likely you will be faced with over-use of your power...your grandmother and I often were." here she smiled at her daughter, then turned back to Aria.

"So, you used wind. Then I assume you are a Senshi of Uranus." it was a safe assumption, since, as far as she knew, the only planet that catered to such power was Uranus. "Though, please correct me if I am wrong. I need to know the titles of all the new Senshi in our Kingdom."

Aria still sat rather rigidly, even as the Queen spoke to Kaimana. She paid attention though. You never know when something one overhears might be useful later! But then she brought up the lesson of overexertion and their powers. She should've known something that like would have happened. If you overwork a muscle, its gonna be sore and weary later. The same could be said for other things: fuses, machines-just about everything could be overworked one way or another.

But then the Queen's attention was back on her. "Huh? Oh, yeah...right." she confirmed. "Titania. I remember when I transformed, I specifically said 'Guardian'." Lowering her gaze, Aria shook her head. "I'm not doing much good in that department either."

Miyako sat back and let Aria and Kaimana tell the Queen what happened in the battle. She listen as carefully as she could, since it would be part of her responsibility to learn the powers and the limits of each of the senshi. She could see her mother's facade flicker, just for a fleeting moment when Kaimana mentioned the man who was also present at the battle. Miyako didn't care for that. She felt intimidated and concerned by the sudden rush of power the planets were granting. So many things to learn and so much to understand. How in the name of the Moon was she going to keep up? She touched Cheng'e's fur, there was always something comforting and grounding about the kitten's soft fuzz.

"Mama?" Miyako looked up at her mother. "When will we know who everyone is? The three of us just happen to stumble upon each other by chance and by the fact that I was rather nosey in the medical wing."

With Aria's admission the Queen nodded sagely, then she turned to Miyako and Cheng'e. The little feline had moved closer to her charge and was now purring softly in response to the Princess' gentle touch, but she remained silent, otherwise.

"I'm not sure how to answer that, Miyako..." the Queen replied with a gentle shake of her head. "Not all of the Queens have passed their powers on, yet, and so I can not tell you who of their leniage will be chosen as Senshi. I can give you the names of those that have been chosen, but I'm afraid until I can do an official ceremony welcoming all the new Senshi, you may not have a chance to meet them. That is, unless you track them down, yourself."

Here she faltered, leaning back in her chair and pressing a polished nail to her lips. "I can tell you that those chosen to be Neo Senshi, like Kaimana and yourself, will be easy to identify as they will likely be directly related to the original Senshi. However...Aria's transformation as Sailor Titania is as much a surprise to me as it probably is to you...and as it will be to Queen Haruka. I have no way of knowing who may become such a Guardian Senshi.

"As for the Knights like Triton...I know there are at least two others that will be awakened. Mel Masamune, also known as Guardian Triton, is a Knight of Neptune. He was granted his power back in the Silver Millennium, along with several other men who were chosen as guardians to the Princesses of that time. Of the seven that were formed, only three remain alive today due to being placed in stasis when the Silver Millennium fell during the war with Beryl and Metallia. Mel I have mentioned. There is also Haku, of Uranus, and Seto, of Pluto. I dont' know when they will be awakened, but when they are, you will be informed."

"Mel did say he was MY Guardian...does that mean he'll be fighting beside me?" though she wasn't entirely sure how she felt about his sudden appearance, the idea of having someone else to help her in the coming battles was a bit of a relief.

"Yes, Kaimana, I do believe it does. Something tells me he will be unable to stand by if you are in a battle. Besides that, he is an honorable man, from what I know...I think he would fight for the good of our Kingdom if you were involved or not. On the same note, Haku will probably be drawn to help YOU, Aria." she turned to the red-head at this point, nodding in her direction as she said this.

"When Queen Setsuna chooses to pass on her powers, the Guardian of Pluto, Seto, will likely follow the new Senshi of Pluto...whoever that may end up being."

"Majesty?" Cheng'e spoke up softly and waited patiently for the Queen to nod her approval before speaking further. "What about the other men? This Kunzite and his, ah...fellows? Are they are allies?"
[/b]

She should have anticipated the question, but just the same it caught her off guard. Frowning softly, the Queen finally shook her head. "I honestly do not know, Cheng'e. I will have to do some more research to discover that...I can tell you that I have it on excellent authority that more allies WILL show up to help us in the war that is coming, but I do not know who they are, yet. I suspect that there will be more Guardian Senshi. Aria is a clear sign that such Senshi are possible, and since there are many children in the various planetary royal lines, it is possible more Guardians will be formed to help us with this war."

Taking a breath, the Queen quickly moved forward. "I think the best course of action will be for me to find out who of the Queens has already passed on her powers, and who intends to do so. Knowing the Queens, they will likely gather the potential heirs together to do it. If there is one thing Haruka and Michiru's attempt to pass on their powers showed us, it is that we should polan for the unexpected." in this she was speaking of Ito's being chosen and her NOT being invited to the 'party' that was formed for the passing of powers. Aria had also not been there, either, though considering she had never heard of the girl, it is likely Aria's involvement would have been a surprise, either way.

"My hope is that each of the Queens will learn by example and have everyone that culd be a potential heir in the room with them when they pass on their powers. This will guarantee that they know WHO was given such power, so that we can maintain a list, at least in the palace. Once I have the names, I will call a meeting of the Senshi so that we can all meet one another. After all, we are a TEAM, and only together will we be able to defend this kingdom from what is coming."

This was a lot to take in. There were others out there somewhere. Some knew who they were, some didn't. But that only left more questions than answers. "That's me, one big surprise." Aria muttered, feeling genuinely insulted. She did not mean to but she sounded about as irritated as one could. She wasn't just some surprise that was being dropped on the royal families. The more interesting point after that was that the Queen mentioned another knight who would eventually try to help her.

"As much as I do not mind working with others-" Aria pointed out after the Queen had explained keeping a list and having to work as a team. "-I have a feeling I may not be as welcome as others and when there is tension surrounding just one person on a team, the whole team suffers because of it."

"And why would you not be welcome, miss?" the soft, bell-like voice would be easily recognized by Miyako, Cheng'e, and Kaimana, but Aria would likely be surprised to hear the Queen Mother speak to her directly. Helios and Serenity, I had arrived at just that moment, having slipped into the room while Serenity, II was speaking and, thus, holding everyone elses attention.

Now the silver-haired Queen moved deeper into the room, leaving Helios' to make his own decision as to where he wanted to go. Though she was a couple thousand years old, Serenity, I didn't look a day over 22, the age she had been when she became Queen of Earth at the begining of this Kingdom's history. Now she smiled at Aria, but the confusion was easy to read in her eyes.

Wanting to be of help, Kaimana licked her lips and spoke up. "I think it's because we are unsure WHY Aria was chosen to be a Senshi of Uranus, your Majesty. We're not entirely positive how Hapa--I mean, Queen Haruka--will react to a stranger being chosen to help protect Ito. Then there's Ito..." here Kaimana sighed, heavily, because they all knew what Ito was thinking about the entire situation, in general. "But really, I don't care what any of them have ot think." and here Kai turned directly to Aria. "Whatever happens, you have my support, Aria. We need the help, for one, and you've already proven a valuable ally!" though she had said 'we' she had really meant 'I.' Perhaps her motives were selfish, but she was not about to deny that she did not want to be the only person from the Neptune and Uranus Royals to represent the Senshi...and so far, that's what it looked like was going to happen. So, while it frightened her to think she might be going up against her own grandparents in regard to Aria, she would do it. If only so she didn't end up fighting, alone.

"I see..." Serenity, I smiled sweetly as Kai came to the girl's defense, then turned back to Aria. "Well, I think you're underestimateing your allies...and while I can understand your fear of Haruka, I can also tell you that, in this, she doesn't really have a choice. The PLANET chose you...for whatever reason, the powers that be have sought fit to make you a Senshi, and so you are a Senshi. That, alone, is enough to make you part of the team. Only you can hold yourself back, Aria."

"There you have it. As my mother stated, the powers that govern the Senshi, the Planets that choose them, have chosen you. There's nothing Haruka or anyone else ca do about that, and there's no point in fighting it. Besides, as Kaimana already stated, you have proven yourself to the Kingdom. That, if nothing else, would make you an ally and part of our team.

"Wouldn't you agree, my love?" the Queen turned to Helios, her smile welcomeing. But there was something in her eyes that he would easily read--they needed to talk, alone.

If having Serenity II there was enough to make Aria, now the Queen Mother had shown up! Aria was starting to feel smaller and smaller by the second. She wanted to say something but her voice decided to be on vacation at the moment. Finally, Kaimana came to her defense. It was touching, it really was. Returning her gaze to the Queen Mother, Aria finally spoke. "I don't want to underestimate them but-" Aria quietly said but halted her thought there.

Her first encounter with Ito and the others on the Serenity did exactly nil to inspire any sort of loyalty. Kaimana and Miyako, however, had proven to be so much more. She was gonna have some sort of stress related condition by the end of this. The constant up and down just screamed ulcer! "If-if I may, I'd like to speak with Kaimana alone-" Aria requested. If Kaimana was willing to go that far for her just because she was a senshi, then she at least deserved to know the full truth. And Miyako, well, she had been with her all day since the attack. No sense in excluding her now. "-and Miyako and Cheng'e."

Helios quietly slipped around the dining table with the Queens spoke to their guests. He touched Miyako's shoulder, glad that she was there and safe. Leaning down he kissed her forehead gently while she hugged him around the waist from her seat. His golden eyes smiled brightly at her before turning his attention to the other two young ladies in the room. He bowed royal, "Welcome to our home," He said pleasantly. Kaimana he easily recognized and gave her nod. "Good to see you once again, Princess Kaimana. And Miss Aria, I assume that it is your first time to the palace, but please do not feel so intimidated," He could feel the nerves and tension rolling off the girl's body in waves. "You are a welcomed guest and you are safe here."

The King may not have nearly as much experience or say in the business of the senshi but making sure these girls were comfortable and well cared for in his home was important and he intended make that happen. He caught his wife's eye from across the room and instantly knew what she was trying to tell him. He gave a barely noticeable nod. He squeezed Miyako's shoulder and smiled. "Would you ladies excuse the Queen and I for just a moment? It is probably best we check on the other Queens. I am certain Queen Minako will be cross if she finds out you are all partaking in cookies and she was not invited." Helios smiled playfully before crossing the room and holding the door open for Queen Serenity II. "The Queen will provide plenty of entertainment in our absence, I am sure."

Miyako patted Aria on the back gently. "You worry too much! Keep in mind that we're all in the same boat. New and clueless. Plus I think it's pretty awesome that there are guardians. I don't think the Moon will have a guardian this time around. And even if there is one, it would never be as awesome as Tuxedo Kamen!" Miyako's grew big and dreamy. She knew it was technically her grandfather that served as Tuxedo Kamen, but it was the idea of that character that was so darn romantic. She shook her head, bringing her back from her thoughts. She tilted her head with Aria asked to speak to them privately. She gave her grandmother a confused look and then nodded at Aria. "Sure."

Smiling gently up at her husband, Serenity, II, rose to her feet and gathered her skirts as she turned to leave with him. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Aria; truly, it was. I know we will be seeing more of each other." saying this, she looped her arm through Helios, then turned to give each of them a final glance.

A strange expression crossed her features as she looked on the foursome. So much was coming, yet none of them, not even her--the Queen-- knew anything of what to expect. Taking a breath, she felt it best to leave them with a bit of advice. "Remember, girls, the times ahead will depend on your ability to trust and depend on each other. A strong, unified team can overcome any odds. Now, if you should need anything, Miyako, at least, knows where to find me." she winked at her daughter, then finally turned and let Helios lead her from the room.

Serenity, I, watched her daughter and son-in-law leave the room, then turned back to the girls still waiting. Though Helios had offered the Queen as cheerful entertainment, it seemed Aria had other plans, because shortly after the King and Queen left, she asked for time alone.

"I understand, dear." the silver-haired woman rose to her feet, smoothing out the slender skirt of her white gown. "You four will end up being part of a much larger team. It is best that you get to know each other. I do not expect all of the Senshi and Knights to become friends as I was friends with MY Senshi in my youth...but I hope for it. However...don't forget that you have so many resources in your elders. If you have a question, ask of it...like my daughter said, we are here to help." a final smile was flashed to all of them, then Serenity quietly exited the room to give them privacy.

Once again alone with the Princess, Cheng'e, and Aria, Kaimana found herself breathing a rather heavy and audible sigh of relief. "Is it just me, or was that just...a little much?" true, she was a princess, but she rarely ended up under such close attention to ALL the head royals like she and Aria had just been. Helios' attempt to comfort them may have been good-intentioned, but it hadn't gone far, at least for HER.

"You must have been ready to run flying the completely opposite direction." Kai smiled sweetly at the red-head, understanding flashing in her eyes. "I know I wanted to be anywhere else by there, and I'm USED to this...well, sort of..." the truth was that, while she may be a princess of Neptune, she really didn't do a lot in the way of BEING a princess. Not like Miyako. This was probably just another walk in the park for her!

"Anyway, enough about that...what is it you wanted to talk to me about?" Aria had looked so serious when she'd asked for some time to speak alone. Was it possible she was still considering backing out of being a Senshi? Gods, Kaimana hoped not. It was bad enough Ito had run screaming to Earth--at least per the recent tabloid scene--If Aria didn't stick around to help her...well, then it would just be HER covering the Outer Senshi. That seemed so unfair.
