A soft alarm sounded and Ceres blinked, glancing toward her phone. Sure enough, it was time to meet Jayson outside the palace. Smiling to herself, the pink-haired girl gave herself a final look-over in the mirror, deciding she liked what she saw. Her incredibly long hair was pulled into a fashionable and somewhat complicated up-do, the bangs framing her heart-shaped face as they always did. Her make-up was subtle, with just a dusting of gold over her cheeks and eyelids to give a suggestion of being gilded. In reality, she had always preferred looking as if she wasn't wearing any make-up at all.

The yellow gown hugged her body in all the right places, and the matching clutch contained the back-up make-up for touch-ups, her cell phone, credentials, and her henshin wand. She was as ready as she could be!

At that very moment her intercom sounded.

"Miss Hitode, your date has arrived."

"Thank you, I will be there, shortly." Kera quickly responded. Grabbing the gold throw she'd chosen in case it got a bit chilly, Ceres stepped out of her bedroom.

Jayson had just pulled up the gates got out to show the card to guard. He smiled politely as they took the card and called inside. He waited adjusting his vest, tie, and shirt while he stood outside the SUV that the field office manager usually drove. Cerena sat on the AI pedestal as he waited. She was amusing herself with what appeared to be solitaire.

The shirt was tight over his muscled frame and the grey stripes just emphasized he was a built man. The tie and vest accentuated the shirt and the pants matched the vest. The vest and shirt were in charcoal gray. He waited patiently. Cerena called out to him.

"Jayson the owner of one of the restaurants is more than happy to have you come. He remembers the last time you were in there you were well behaved."

This was the best news he had heard all since this whole thing began, well that and Sailor Ceres wanting a date, that was awesome. He was trying to remember the man's name at the restaurant. He looked back in at Cerena.

"Which one was this Cerena?"

Cerena looked up from her cards and stood as she did the cards disappeared from view.

"I would have won that one too. Oh that was Antonio, he owns those restaurants that serve a fusion of Italian, Sicilian, and Neapolitan. You know him as the loud and verbose man who swears he loves you every time you are and have won."

Jayson remembered him quite well and that man was a rather nice. He was also one who went out of his way to ensure that all his customers had a great time.

Jaysom smiled as the guard stepped back out and motioned him to follow him. He did so and Cerena kept talking to him via his device.

"There is also that high priced one that you got drunk in and destroyed after you title defense here on the Moon. Regina would be happy to see again after all you did for the damages and sign the wall over the bar. She was more than pleased by that but I think the paying for damages was what thrilled her more."

Jayson just shook his head and waited for Sailor Ceres to emerge.

The guard brought him into the main foyer of the palace and offered him a seat on one of the many padded benches for visitors to enjoy while they waited for whatever had brought them to the capitol. Within a few minutes Kera arrived, stepping out of a doorway in the yellow, satin gown she'd chosen for the evening. The satin hugged her curves, the gem-encrusted, plunging V-neck of the halter top glittering in the massive chandeliers that hung above them. The satin rippled around her heeled feet as she walked, the slit in the dress revealing a flash of supple, honeyed leg.

The woman stopped before Jayson, smiling up at him in greeting. "It's wonderful to see you, again, Jayson. Especially under these more...appealing circumstances." she flashed a set of even, white teeth in a coy grin before taking the matching shawl and pulling it around her bare shoulders. "So, where are we going? I haven't eaten much, today, and am quite starved!"

Jayson had stood the moment he saw Ceres he had to do a double take. He was speechless as he viewed her and nearly lost his train of thought but her asking about dinner brought him back to his senses.

He had wanted to stare for longer but that would have been impolite. She was...well there was no words for it he could come up with so a rather bland compliment would have to suffice.

"You look stunning..."

Still he had not felt this nervous since his first professional fight. He couldn't help but feel that nervous. This wasn't like other dates, well in a way it was, but to him it wasn't at all.

"Ah yes dinner I am going to take you an Italian/Sicilian cuisine fusion."

He smiled politely and offered his arm.

"Shall we?"

The spoken compliment might have been simple, but the expression on Jayson's face upon seeing her was more than enough to express his state of mind. Smiling sweetly, Kera dipped her head in a demure fashion. "Why thank you, Jayson. You're looking remarkably striking, yourself; you cut quite the figure in that handsome suit."

Her arm slipped easily into his when offered, her hand sliding briefly over his muscled bicep as she settled into place beside him. "Italian-Sicilian fusion? I must admit that sounds quite tasty. I've always been a fan of Italian cuisine."

At her touch he nearly trembled with anticipation as her arm slid across his bicep. He nearly sighed when it came to rest but he kept his smile in place. As he started off toward the SUV he glanced at Ceres.

"What should I call you tonight? I know Sailor Ceres or Ceres is a bit inappropriate for being in public on a date. I never did as you for a first name out of politeness."

The conversation was low so it only carried to her ears as they walked. The guard looked at Jayson and gave a nod.

"Just be prepared for Battista he is a bit overzealous when greeting guests and well he thinks of me as a son he never had."

He chuckled a bit nervously as they neared the SUV. He was nervous about this. He had never dreamed he would meet Ceres but actually going on a date with the woman was something he never thought would happen in his lifetime or the other ones that they were given due to the queen and the power she wielded.

Kera smiled sweetly up at Jayson, the few curls she'd allowed free of the ellaborate, braided hairstyle she'd chosen dancing playfully around her heart-shaped face. It was clear the hairstyle must have taken hours to perfect. She'd taken all her massive, pink hair and done it up in teeny-tiny braids, which she then wrapped around her head just behind her bangs, making it look as if she were wearing a braided head band. Those cords then wrapped tightly around themselves, creating a cone-like bun atop her head very similar to an old-fashioned bufont. Her rose-colored eyes gleamed at his question.

"You would be right that using my title of Sailor Ceres would be inappropriate, seeing as I intend for this night to be far less formal than all that. My name is Hitode Kera, and you, Jayson, are more than welcome to call me by my first name."

By this time they'd made it to the SUV and Kera waited patiently for him to open her door, as a gentleman of his caliber would. Once inside the car, she carefully spread her skirt across her legs so that the slit up one side still showed off a strip of of her bare thigh, but she somehow looked demure and even a little chaste. It was almost as if the flash of her skin was done entirely by accident--just a testament to Kera's ability to flirt, both verbally and physically.

"Battista? He is the proprietor? I did not realize you were so well connected on the Moon. However, I suppose I should have known better. You are, after all, quite famous in your circle. Am I right to presume this man is a fan of yours?"

At the mention of her first name he gave nod. He kind of figured that Sailor Ceres was a bit too formal. Kera Hitode though was more than fitting…it was beautiful. He kept himself contained.

“Hitode Kera, I wouldn’t have guessed. Kera it is then.

He smiled as he opened the door and held his arm stiff to assist her in getting in and once she was seated and had arranged her dress to keep from getting caught in the door as he closed it. When the door closed Cerena came to life on the pedestal.

“Good evening, I’m Cerena it is a pleasure to meet you ma’am.”

Jayson was besides himself as he moved around the vehicle quickly and got in. He noticed Cerena had decided to come to life and engage Kera in conversation. He found it odd that an A.I. was chatty but then again he did acquire her from a sale from an old Earth Military installation. So he figured that she was just odd.

“I see that you and Kera have made introductions Cerena.”

Cerena smiled at Jayson and nodded.

“Yes Jayson we have now if you would be so kind as to give me your destination I shall ensure you get there without getting lost. After all your driving is bollocks Jayson. You could get lost taking a walk.”

Jayson sighed and looked at Cerena and shook his head.

“Take us to Battista’s please.”

At Kera’s next questions he returned his attention to her and nodded.

“Yes he is a fan and one who seems to think that being more involved in my love life than my mother is his way of being nice. Other than that he is a nice guy. So tell me what is your favorite Italian dish?”

He figured that was safe conversation because he wasn’t going to talk about himself or ask Kera a million questions about what it was like being a senshi. He wanted this to be a normal night for both of them. Just two people out on a date getting to know each other as people did when you didn’t have a million fans or admirers hounding you.

Cerena took upon herself to get them moving after all she had made the reservation and Battista had quickly confirmed personally. She smiled as she thought of what tonight was going to be like. Only she was going to ensure that Jayson stayed out of trouble. She sent a quick text message to Kera.

~*This is Cerena. So you know Jayson needs to be behaved in public if you aren’t abreast of his actions after a fight. Although tonight I believe he will be on his best behavior in your company. It is just a heads up ma’am.*~

Though she was pretty used to modern technology, the sudden arrival of an AI was a little surprising. She knew many people kept them for various reasons, and it would seem Jayson was no exception. Judging by the way she introduced herself, and the following banter between her and Jayson, Cerena was the man's personal secretary.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, as well, Cerena." Kera nodded politely in a way that suggested a formal, Japanese-style bow of greeting. However, as soon as that was completely, she seemed to only have eyes for Jayson. She smiled sweetly at him one he confirmed that the owner of the restaurant they were headed to was a fan. However, his comment about hte man meddeling in his love-life brought a raised brow and a grin.

"Should I take that as a warning, then?" she asked, a littl teasingly. "Believe me, I am used to others meddeling in my love life. My sister, Larisa, for instance, continuously butts into things regarding my personal affairs with an intense scruitiny that is really unnecessary. Then there's the Queens..." she rolled her eyes upward in an ever-suffering expression. The simple fact was that both Serenitys tended to play at match-maker when it came to their friends, mostly because they had both gotten lucky in finding their soul mates. They wanted that same happiness for everyone in their lives, and tended to meddle in an effort to help one find it.

"Chuckling softly at these thoughts and the comisseration she and Jayson shared, the woman than turned thoughtful. "I suppose if I were to pick a favorite meal, it would be fettucini alfredo. However, my most favorite Italian food is definitely Gelato." that was her sweet tooth talking, of course. Anything sweet tended to satisfy Kera.

When her watch alerted her to the message on her phone, she was tempted to ignore it, but thought better of it. After all, just because she was on personal leave didn't mean her duty as a Senshi and head of palace security got to be ignored. "Please excuse me a moment." she offered to Jayson while she tapped at her watch to read the message. She could easily pull the message up in holographic form above her watch-face, but if it were palace business, she couldn't go bandering it in front of people.

Surprisingly, it wasn't the palace or her sisters, but the AI in the car with them. Kera's expression became a bit puzzled, then amused as she read the message warning her of Jayson's probablity of behaving himself. Now, while she was not a huge fan of what Jayson did, she did know who he was, and she HAD done some research before their date, so she had an idea of how he worked and...what he was known for. The party-boy attitude didn't phase her, really. She was a bit of a pary-girl herself, after all...though Jayson was a lot more public about his fun than she ever was. Still, there was warning in his past escapades...and she did hope that this evening would end on a happy note and not with police being called.

For a moment she contemplated sharing the little messagfe from Cerena with Jayson, but she also didn't want to get the girl in trouble--so easy to think of it as a girl when it seemed to have such a lively personality--so she instead tapped the message away and leaned back, smiling.

"I am sorry about that, but thankfully it was nothing to be worried about, and nothign that would draw me away from our dinner. Now, where were we? I do believe you asked me about my favorite Italian dish, so I think it's only fair I gain a personal question of my own. Besides your job, because it's clear you enjoy that, what do you do for fun? Any hobbies?"

Jayson couldn’t help but chuckled at the thought of someone meddling in Kera’s love life. Who would be so bold? The answer was provided quickly though with the word sisters. He thought perhaps they were the only ones and then when she mentioned both Serenity’s also meddling he could just nearly imagine…well no he couldn’t at all. His mother had less than an interest in his life. Which didn’t bother him at all.

“Well yes and no. Batista is a very nice person but after all he does worry about me like a son.”

He looked at Kera and smiled.

“Although with all the people you have helping you find love I would have to say that you are lucky. You have people who are concerned about your happiness. I have them as well just not as many.”

He let a happy sigh go as he looked at Kera. She was quite a bit more beautiful than the pictures of her. They didn’t really do her justice. He had to think about how lucky he was to have this date with her.

“Fettuccini Alfredo and Gelato. Those are great choices but the there are so many flavors of gelato that I bet it is hard to choose? I mean after all if my diet hadn’t been so restrictive I might have had more than the diet that my fighting trainer gave me. Now well I don’t have to worry about so I am going to enjoy myself.”

When Kera apologized for the interruption he didn’t see it as an interruption. When she asked him questions about his personal life and what he liked to do and how he enjoyed his job she was right although what wasn’t all there was to him.

“Yes I do enjoy fighting but what I do for fun though isn’t get arrested after a long night of being a juvenile delinquent. I have found that woodcarving and woodworking. I have found it relaxes me and makes me focus. I can show you some of my work later if you would like?”

The SUV meanwhile was driving along just fine without either of them having to drive it. Cerena was actually happy to see that Jayson was having fun. He usually did things he liked but not leave his suite.

“I will let you know ahead of time that my trainer is usually around because she finds keeping an eye on me to be her job. It is weird.”

He chuckled because he felt that was fair.

"You are right, picking a flavor is generally difficult if you don't have soemthing specific you're craving. I mostly prefer fruit-flavored gelatos, to be honest, but there are still a ton of flavors even in that category."

Jayson's comment about a favorite past time including staying out of jail brought a soft chuckle to Kera's lips, one that sent the earrings she wore jingling softly, but she chose not to comment on it. Rather, she focused on the next hobbies he spoke of, her eyes lighting up.

"Wood carving? That sounds fascinating. I would love to see some of your work." she replied, the eagerness in her eyes making it clear she wasn't just saying that to placate him. "I completely understand what you mean about how it helps you to focus. I've found working with my hands gives me the same pleaure; I actually garden in my spare time." in fact, her bedroom in the palace was full of various living plants. "Sometimes when I just need some time to unwind, I'll immerse myself in tending the palace gardens. It's soothing."

OOC: This is just a quick post to establish where the other three Quartette are in the game. The characters of Sailor Pallas, Sailor Vesta, and Sailor Juno are still open to anyone interested in playing them, I just temp them as needed. The names and information used for this post are from the generic profiles that were created for these characters for use by the Mods for temping purposes.

"Is anyone else wondering just WHO Kera is going on a date with?" Larisa blinked, glancing between her sisters, Lui and Sylvia.

"It's that BEAST person. I'm sure of it!" Lui crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing. "He seemed rather interested in her after we finished interrogating him."

"Beast?" Larisa found herself blinking, again, rather lost by what Lui was talking about.

"Jayson 'The Beast' Nero" Sylvia grinned, her ruby eyes gleaming. "He's a fighter in the MMA circuit, Larissa..." seeing the girl's blank stare the red-head rolled her eyes and sighed. "That would be wrestling. You know, hand-to-hand combat?"

"Oh! I didn't know someone like that was Kera's type..."

"I would think by now you would know that Kera doesn't really have a 'type.' Unless breathing is a type..." Lui smirked, but it vanished, quickly. "I wonder what they're up to..."

"He IS rather handsome! I'm not surprised Kera's gone out with him. Honestly, she deserves a night out! And as for what they might be up to, that is NONE of your business, Lui. If she'd wanted you to know, Kera would have told you."

"Yeah, yeah..." the green-haired girl waived a hand dismissively at her younger sister, but it was clear she wasn't REALLY listening.

"Lucina, I know that look! You're going to go spy on her, aren't you? Well, keep me out of it! You're going to get yourself killed..." the red-head huffed, shaking her head at her older sister. "You should stay out of it, too, Larissa..."

"You think so?" the blue-haired girl grinned and glanced at Lui. "I don't know, this guy...he could be bad for our sister. We SHOULD check on her...for her own safety. After all, what Kera doesn't know can't hurt her...or us..."

"That's the spirit Rissa! Come on, Sylvia, you're not even a little curious?"

"Wouldn't matter if I was. I value my neck, thank you. Go do what you want, but I warned you. I'll be in my room. It's been a LONG day, and I deserve some rest of my own." with that the red-head turned her back on her older sisters and headed for her suite.

"Party-pooper..." Lui rolled her eyes, then turned back to Larissa. "So, you still up for some spying?"

"Definitely! Besides, this way we can know how well the date goes...and if there will be another one. It's only right that we make sure Kera isn't getting herself into trouble...after all, she may need a bail-out if the night goes badly!"

Lui smiled wickedly at Rissa as she argeed to go along with the plan. It had been many years since her last date since being a senshi had the lure however the long hours tended to put a bit of a strain all of her relationships. She has given up for the most part as she focused more with meddling in her sisters' love lives.

She was super happy that her oldest sister was able get out and paint the night red. It was something that she deserved. Plus spying on Kera did have the lure of finding some one for Rissa as well. Who knows she might get lucky herself!

She draped an arm around the shoulders of the blue haired woman, stirring them towards the garage. "Shall we take one of my bikes or a palace car?"

"Can we take the motorcycle?" Larissa beamed, practically bouncing as she walked; the thought of riding with her sister one of her bikes was simply exhilerating! It was always a thrill to ride with Lui, since the green-haired girl had a penchant for riding a little dangerously. All four of the Hitode girls had a dare-devilish side to them, and riding with Lui was definitely one way for Larissa to enjoy hers!

"I don't suppose you know where Jayson and Kera are eating, do you?" Larissa asked while making their way to the garage. "Or do we need to track her phone?" a devilish gleam came to Larissa's blue eyes at this statement. Kera would likely kill them later, but spying on her and this hunk, Jayson, might just be worth it!

Jayson looked over at Kera as she spoke. Cerena was driving so he didn't need to pay attention to the road. How often had he been distracted by such things. He was dead set on enjoying himself tonight that not even Natalie could ruin this.

"I'd agree the choice of dessert is something I have not had the luxury of in some time. All the training. Tonight though I'm going to indulge."

A smirk, mainly because he was violating his diet, and Freyja would have killed him if he was training for eating such sweet treats. Kera's jingling earrings brought his mind back to the present and who he was with.

He was pleasantly surprised by the request to see some f his work. The look in her eyes said she would absolutely love to see them. That would happen since she wanted to see the work.

"I am more than delighted you wish to them. In fact if your up to it after the night has waned a bit and we've had our fill of fun then I'll show you."

There was a general boyish shyness to his statement. It mainly stemmed from he had never really considered any of his work worthwhile. It was a pleasant distraction and the craving was something he could do anywhere. The act of building things and working with hands was a soothing balm for him. It made him forget he was a famous fighter. It allowed him to just feel normal.

"Gardening? Really? That's a talent. It really is. The ability to cultivate and grow plants. I bet they flourish with your gentle care?"

He was surprised. Hell he was many things tonight. All of them pleased and happy. It wasn't often he got to share regular conversation with someone outside the people he knew personally. It was enjoyable and as he looked at Kera he could tell without a doubt she was enjoying it as well.

"If you would be so kind, when we have a moment, either now or later to show me your favorite parts of the palace garden or your personal garden I would love that."

Lucina chuckled a bit at the tiny bounce with the mention of riding one of her bikes. It just meant that they could catch up with their oldest sister even faster. She had a quite the collection in the garage as her mind worked over which one would be the best to take.

"I have no clue as to where exactly, so I will leave the tracking up to you, kid." She gave her sister a wink as they entered into private vehicle collection. She guided them to her tiny section filled with bikes that ranged from Harley to street racing like the Ninja or Susuki. This is the only good think that dating Henry ever brought me. She gave a little shudder at that last part.

She decided that the older style of BMW would work just fine, plus it was one that their sister would less likely notice. It was a quick ride and a comfortable back seat. She grabbed the keys from the wall along with the helmets. She tossed Larissa hers as she started up the black bike with gold flames on the tank and fenders. She waited for her sister to hop on. This night off was going to be so much fun.

"Perhaps for our second date we can visit the Palace Gardens..." Kera winked playfully with this statement, responding to his request to see her favorite parts of the garden. "I don't really have a personal garden, per se...I have a window box that I maintain, and many potted plants throughout my room...I would be delighted to show you, sometime." her eyes gleamed devilishly at this statement, probably because if he WERE going to see what amounted to her personal garden, then he'd be going into her personal quarters. And if he was venturing there, then the night would have ended quite well, indeed.

"Have we arrived?" the car was slowing down and a quick peak out the window proved they were pulling up to a lovely building made of old-fashioned brick. The place was clearly popular, judging by the sheer number of people meandering outside the door and enjoying the out-door seating. Jovial, Italian music played from cleverly concealed speakers so that those outside could enjoy the atmosphere that the restaurant was hoping to exude.

"Wow, it seems this is the place to be, tonight!" Kera thought, noting that several of the people mingling out doors were clearly waiting for tables to open up inside. Though she couldn't help wondering what the wait was, something told her they would not have one. Jayson had mentioned reservations, after all, and if he knew the proprietor as well as he claimed, then those reservations would be strictly held.

Though excitement made her lean forward in her esat, prepraring to disembark from the vehicle, Kera held herself in check and waited patiently as possible for Jayson. He'd alreayd set the tone for the evening, so he was pretty certain he'd continue opening doors for her throughout the night. She was NOT about to stop him, either! This night is really proving promising!

Meanwhile, Lucina had pulled out her mini and was already pulling up everything necessary to track Kera's location. By the time Lui had picked out a cycle for the evening and motioned for her to get on the back, she had already found Kera.

"Looks like they're headed down town...I can give directions as we go!" that said, Lucina quickly climbed onto the back of the bike and waited for Lui to get on while securing a helmet over her head. Once settled, the blue-haired woman slipped her arms around her sister's waist and settled against her back, ready to fly!

Lui smiled as she secured the helmet. She turned the keys as her sister gave the signal that she was all ready to go. She gave a whoop into the mic as the engine roared a few times. She released the brake, taking off in an expert fashion as the back wheel turned a few times. She stopped for a moment checking for others that might be passing as they reached the entrance to the garage., before really tearing off. The rumble of the engines could be heard echoing.

"Downtown you said? Boy he really thinks that he is going to get lucky to night then. If he doesn't behave, I will pound him into the ground!"

It would not take long to get to the downtown area. Lui took the corners a little sharp as the speed most of the way was much higher then the others on the road, knowing that her sister was fully enjoying herself. She easily dodge in and out of traffic as she asked, "Where to, sis?"

Jayson couldn’t help but contain his the grin the excitement though he contain quite well but she would probably know anyways that the fact thrilled him.

He didn’t frown though at the personal garden but was more than pleased with the thought of spending time walking with her in the palace gardens. Kera then upped the ante when she said she would show him her personal plants in her room.

“That would be great. I look forward to the second date.”

At the question of their arrival he nodded and smiled. Yes it was always like this. Batista knew how to draw a crowd. He didn’t really change his recipes much and with his mother always ensuring everything was up to her strict standards then they were allowed to serve the dishes.

“I hope you will be pleasantly impressed…”

He let that cut off as he got out and made his way around the SUV and opened the door. He promptly offered his arm to her so she could get out. Once she had her feet firmly planted and had settled her dress he slowly walked up the door skipping the line. The maitr’dee watched them carefully as they approached.

“You’d find it funny but his mother really runs the place while he provides an overabundance of atmosphere.”

The maître’dee gave him a look and Jayson smiled politely at the man.

“Jayson Nero I have a reservation for two.”

The man quickly looked over the list and smiled tightly back.

“Yes sir, Batista has given you your normal table.”

Jayson nodded and the man motioned them inside, Jayson quickly opened the door for Kera, and they were escorted by a waitress to their table. As they passed into the restaurant the music was more muted and it gave the atmosphere of both privacy and an energy of excitement if that were possible.

The waitress led on and they were intercepted by a rotund man who was smiling ear to ear.

Jayson, my friend, I see you have decided to visit poor Batista in his shabby restaurant, I so enjoy your visits.”

Batista looked at Kera and bowed his head to her.

“Ah, Jayson, your date her beauty blinds me. May I inquiry as to her name.”

Jayson chuckled the man was all charming man and sweet boy.

“Yes this Hitode Kera who has graced me with her presence tonight even though she knows about my proclivities after fights.”

Batista laughed and nodded.

“Ah a brave woman indeed. Please let me get you to your table and get you the wine list.”

Batista, while not trying to hurry them, made it nonchalant about getting them there and out of the wait staff traffic.

“Your waitress will be by promptly to give you that wine list and I shall check in on you two throughout the night. I have to mamma you are here. She will be so happy to see you.”

Jayson pulled out Kera’s chair and once she was seated he pushed her in and then took his seat.

“He is a very nice man. He is a funny, charming, and still he finds the time to be a nuisance to those he calls friends and pest to those he considers his children. His mamma though is the one that is levelheaded. I just help he gives us time to talk tonight.”

He smiled a bit sheepishly at Kera hoping she wouldn’t take the intrusions on their night to badly.
