A soft alarm sounded and Ceres blinked, glancing toward her phone. Sure enough, it was time to meet Jayson outside the palace. Smiling to herself, the pink-haired girl gave herself a final look-over in the mirror, deciding she liked what she saw. Her incredibly long hair was pulled into a fashionable and somewhat complicated up-do, the bangs framing her heart-shaped face as they always did. Her make-up was subtle, with just a dusting of gold over her cheeks and eyelids to give a suggestion of being gilded. In reality, she had always preferred looking as if she wasn't wearing any make-up at all. The yellow gown hugged her body in all the right places, and the matching clutch contained the back-up make-up for touch-ups, her cell phone, credentials, and her henshin wand. She was as ready as she could be! At that very moment her intercom sounded. "Miss Hitode, your date has arrived." "Thank you, I will be there, shortly." Kera quickly responded. Grabbing the gold throw she'd chosen in case it got a bit chilly, Ceres stepped out of her bedroom. Jayson had just pulled up the gates got out to show the card to guard. He smiled politely as they took the card and called inside. He waited adjusting his vest, tie, and shirt while he stood outside the SUV that the field office manager usually drove. Cerena sat on the AI pedestal as he waited. She was amusing herself with what appeared to be solitaire. The shirt was tight over his muscled frame and the grey stripes just emphasized he was a built man. The tie and vest accentuated the shirt and the pants matched the vest. The vest and shirt were in charcoal gray. He waited patiently. Cerena called out to him. "Jayson the owner of one of the restaurants is more than happy to have you come. He remembers the last time you were in there you were well behaved." This was the best news he had heard all since this whole thing began, well that and Sailor Ceres wanting a date, that was awesome. He was trying to remember the man's name at the restaurant. He looked back in at Cerena. "Which one was this Cerena?" Cerena looked up from her cards and stood as she did the cards disappeared from view. "I would have won that one too. Oh that was Antonio, he owns those restaurants that serve a fusion of Italian, Sicilian, and Neapolitan. You know him as the loud and verbose man who swears he loves you every time you are and have won." Jayson remembered him quite well and that man was a rather nice. He was also one who went out of his way to ensure that all his customers had a great time. Jaysom smiled as the guard stepped back out and motioned him to follow him. He did so and Cerena kept talking to him via his device. "There is also that high priced one that you got drunk in and destroyed after you title defense here on the Moon. Regina would be happy to see again after all you did for the damages and sign the wall over the bar. She was more than pleased by that but I think the paying for damages was what thrilled her more." Jayson just shook his head and waited for Sailor Ceres to emerge. The guard brought him into the main foyer of the palace and offered him a seat on one of the many padded benches for visitors to enjoy while they waited for whatever had brought them to the capitol. Within a few minutes Kera arrived, stepping out of a doorway in the yellow, satin gown she'd chosen for the evening. The satin hugged her curves, the gem-encrusted, plunging V-neck of the halter top glittering in the massive chandeliers that hung above them. The satin rippled around her heeled feet as she walked, the slit in the dress revealing a flash of supple, honeyed leg. The woman stopped before Jayson, smiling up at him in greeting. "It's wonderful to see you, again, Jayson. Especially under these more...appealing circumstances." she flashed a set of even, white teeth in a coy grin before taking the matching shawl and pulling it around her bare shoulders. "So, where are we going? I haven't eaten much, today, and am quite starved!" Jayson had stood the moment he saw Ceres he had to do a double take. He was speechless as he viewed her and nearly lost his train of thought but her asking about dinner brought him back to his senses. He had wanted to stare for longer but that would have been impolite. She was...well there was no words for it he could come up with so a rather bland compliment would have to suffice. "You look stunning..." Still he had not felt this nervous since his first professional fight. He couldn't help but feel that nervous. This wasn't like other dates, well in a way it was, but to him it wasn't at all. "Ah yes dinner I am going to take you an Italian/Sicilian cuisine fusion." He smiled politely and offered his arm. "Shall we?" The spoken compliment might have been simple, but the expression on Jayson's face upon seeing her was more than enough to express his state of mind. Smiling sweetly, Kera dipped her head in a demure fashion. "Why thank you, Jayson. You're looking remarkably striking, yourself; you cut quite the figure in that handsome suit." Her arm slipped easily into his when offered, her hand sliding briefly over his muscled bicep as she settled into place beside him. "Italian-Sicilian fusion? I must admit that sounds quite tasty. I've always been a fan of Italian cuisine." |

Smiling pleasantly, Kera let Jayson lead the way into the bustling atmosphere of the restaurant. It wasn't long before they were acosted by the man that he had been warning her of since the beginning of the night. Batista was the prime definity of 'jolly' and Kera couldn't help but smile brightly at his subtle flirtation. "The pleasure is mine, Batista." she offered, eyes gleaming while she chuckled softly at Jayson and Batista's banter. Soon they were taken to their table and Kera slipped into her seat, smothing her skirt beneath her. Once settled against the table, she promptly looped her purse over her chair arm and turned to watch Jayson take his seat. "So, what is your favorite dish on the menu? Any suggestions?" she figured this was going to be a full-course dinner and was not at all disposed to his taking charge in their ordering, just so long as she got a say in what SHE would be eating. They had already made it into the thick of down town by the time Larissa had configured Kera's coordinates. "She's at a place called Batista's..." the girl offered over the com-system in their helmets. "Oh, it has rave reviews...pricey, though...hmm..." just looking over what she could find about them on the web made it clear that spying on Kera at this place was going to be more difficult then they'd anticipated. "We're going to have to be clever, Lui...I fear we may not beable to get in without a reservation, unless we tip our hand...and that might tip off Kera!" |

Lui made a quick right turn as Larissa let her know where they were headed. She let out a tiny groan as the comment of getting in would be difficult. Her opinion of 'The Beast' was waning just a bit though that did not mean much. He might have some taste then again it was probably one of the few places he could get into. Most people in the system knew of his reputation which meant spying was all the more important right now. She was not about to see her sister get hurt by the likes of him! She lane hopped before making another turn. Her mind was racing with ideas. "I think we can try and get a reservation first. If not then on to plan B. We can always hope that Kera is too busy with a guy to notice the commotion. I think I brought some sort of palace idea that might help if things come to that. Unless you have another idea." |

[ Jayson was fairly easy going about most of the stuff that happened but what Kera would see is a very different person than the media portrayed. The brash and obnoxious fighter wasn't present. The person she had was the gentleman. She already knew that though. She was what so many others didn't see. A man and the gentleman. His past girlfriends had always just been excited by the name. Jayson didn't get that feeling from Kera. Her questions and responses told him that she wanted to know who he was at heart. He felt a small connection and then as the conversation on the ride over continued he felt it grow. Jayson had opened up a bit about his hobbies and downtime. Kera to his surprise had as well. He wasn't going to stop. He wanted to know more. When the question of food came up he wandered if Batista still had that veal he lived so much. If not then he would have to wait and see. When you only visited once every six to eight months it was hard to keep track of how the menu changed. "That's always been a tough one. I just generally enjoy food of all types. It is always great to experience new things. Then on the other hand a favorite can also bring that experience to a new level when coupled with something new. Last time I ate here I went with the tour of Naples. So delicious. It had the best of Italian cuisine with some very tasty appetizers and a wine he gets a very limited number of bottles of from earth." The waitress placed the wine list one the table and then decided to wait. It was her job to hover but not really be seen. So was silent and ghostlike. Jayson wanted Kera to enjoy herself so he would ask is she wanted wine of something else. "Kera I won't presume to know your tastes in wines so what shall we start with? Something that goes well with red or white? There is always that chianti I spoke of. Really the night is young and we have time." He smiled as he handed her the list. He was going to be well behaved and gentlemanly. |

OOC: I'm sorry we didn't get to do more with this, Justyce! Unfortunately, so that we are more in line with the current time-frame in other threads, I'm going to jump everyone forward. The attack at the club and the attac at the palace are happening at teh same time, and they're happening in late evening, so I figure Kera and Jayson would be nearly done with dinner when they start. Sorry! By some miracle Larissa was actually able to get a reservation. It seemed someone else had dropped theirs, and when she casually offered her and Lui's names, that reservation had been made theirs, immediately. Now they were sitting at a table--one of her and Lui's choosing--that allowed them to see Kera and Jayson, but kept them fairly hidden behind some plants. "She really seems to be enjoying herself, Lui..." Larissa sighed. They were not close enough to actually hear what their sister and her date were talking about, but their demeanor and the way Kera continued to chuckle and act made it clear things were going well. "You know, for all those rumors about his roudy behavior, he sure seems like a nice guy, to me..." the bluenette sighed, again, before taking a large bite of lasagna into her mouth. She had a feeling Kera would be going back to Jayson's hotel that night. Suddenly Larissa's phone went off, as did Lui's; the ring-tones were the same anad unmistakable. There was a state of emergency at the palace requireing Senshi assistance. "Not again!" Larissa's eyes widened and she pulled out her phone to stare at the alarm that flashed on the screen. The image of a guard appeared on the screen, as well, announcing another attack. "I think we're going to have to interrupt Kera's dinner, after all..." The night was going well, so far, and Kera sipped at her second glass of Mascato--a sweet white wine--while nibbling at what remained of her parmesian crusted chicken and penne. The whole meal had been delicious, but that had not entertained her nearly so much as Jayson. He'd been a complete gentleman! "This has been wonderful, Jayson...I really needed this break. I can honestly say that, while the circumstances of our meeting were unfortunate, I am still happy to have met you." She was looking forward to getting the gelato she had already ordered, but then a distant ring-tone she couldn't have iignored if she tired caught her attention. It wasn't from her phone--she had turned that off--but she KNEW that tone. It was not a tone anyone else in the entire Kingdom could have, because it was specific to the Senshi. Rosette eyes came up, widening in alarm, and she isntantly stood to take in the rest of the restaurant. "My sisters are here..." she muttered, though any anger she might have felt toward them was negated by the fact that something else was happening at the palace. |
