Adora stepped off her family's ship in the docking bay of Serenity Academy. She hadn't set foot on the place in two weeks, ever since the attack on the moon. Her mom and dad had whisked her away from the Moon Kingdom and back home to Venus. Pulling the hood of the pale pink cloak over her head to hide her hair, she kept her head down as she waited for permission to enter the school. This process used to be far quicker, hadn't it? Especially when she'd used one of her daddy's ships and this was her Grandmama's which had even more clout. For not wanting to draw too much attention to herself, the cloak probably didn't serve its purpose but it covered her hair. Was it her hair? It was attached to her head but did that really make it hers? When she'd awakened in the hospital, her hair had been lighter but over the next few days at Venus, it had gone almost white. No matter what Adora did, how many salons she visited, how many bottles of dye she went through, as soon as it dried, her hair was nearly white again. Her hair was longer, too. Thick and silky, it curled now and spilled over into her face until she had to start braiding it just to be able to see. It was so much heavier now it gave her headaches. Then there was her eyes. Their beautiful, vibrant pink were gone, leaving her with pale blue. It was like someone had poked holes in them, letting the pink ink spill out, leaving empty glass. The thoughts left her cold. She just wanted to get to her room and hide until the Coronation of Kaimana and Ito as the crown princesses of Neptune and Uranus. If not for that event - being that she's now the crown of Venus - she wouldn't have even come back. Glancing outside one of the large windows, she saw Mars floating in the distance, surrounded by inky black and stars. So very many stars. A warm hand touched the small of her back and Adora turned to look at her grandmother. ![]() "Its going to be alright, darling," Minako assured. "You know, I always looked a lot like Usagi-chan. Neo Queen Serenity I." Tears made Adora's eyes swim. "I don't even look like me, anymore, Grandmama." ![]() Minako lowered the hood of her granddaughter's cloak. "But you're still my beautiful granddaughter," she said. "And the exact same on the inside. Nothing important has changed, Adora." Tucking a strand of white-blonde hair behind Adora's ear, Minako pressed her forehead against her granddaughter's. Adora sighed and turned away, saying nothing. Grandmama and her parents had been repeating those words over and over again but now she had to go and face the kids at school. They were going to stare and not in a good way. Twice on Venus she'd ventured out of her father's hotel and both time she'd been mistaken for Miyako. She'd become a doopleganger for the princess as her grandmother had been before her.

![]() The security detail was efficient and professional. They scanned for weapons then bowed to the princess and Queen. The electronic voice of the security detail lead sound out. "Forgive us your majesties it is security measures. We are committed to the safety of all on board." They weren't insensitive enough to ask the younger woman to lower her hood. When it was lowered the lead on the security stepped forward toward her. "Ma'am she didn't have to lower the hood." They continued and skipped the asking for IDs. Jeran had a nice elevator ride and walk to the docking bay. He arrived in time to see both Adora Valentine and Queen Aino of Venus being scanned. He stayed back a moment and then walked forward to wave off the security detail. "I think they're not going to cause any trouble on the ship. Thank you for being so thorough. Your majesties." He bowed. "I've come to inform the princess of the changes on the ship. Plus since I have been extremely busy with assigning extra security details for the protection of the VIPs I didn't know you were coming aboard. So if you would allow me to accompany you until I get a security detail assigned it would ease my mind." He sighed and smiled politely. A small nudge in his mind and he ignored it. "Ladies at your leisure." He was professional, tactful, and most of all he had an edge to him that wasn't there at the first meeting in the hospital. ![]() Edited by Justyce, Apr 5 2014, 10:28 AM.

As Jeran conversed with Minako and Adora, well not really a conversation, the earbud he wore would catch the report of a tall blonde assaulting one of the security teams in the Saturn District. The description was one that nearly matched Minako to a T. They said the person was being escorted to the brig now, unconscious, and they had identified the person due the thumbprint scan and ID carried on the person. The name was Freya Aino. |

The moment Jaren and the robot men things appeared, Adora lifted her hood again, lowering her head. "A security detail?" Minako asked, arching her brows. "I hardly think that will be necessary. We are simply going to Adora's suite until the coronation. I'll not have guards tagging after us like lost puppies." It took Minako a moment to realize why this man looked so familiar. He'd been at the hospital with that boy Adora had gone to visit. That must be it. Right? |

![]() Jeran heard the report and suppressed a groan as the second came in about the fire in the academy. He kept his smile in place. His people were well trained and would respond accordingly. He kept his attention focused on the queen and the princess. When The queen of Venus presented her arguments and how valid she thought they were he still kept his easy smile in place. "Neo Princess Serenity II didn't argue when she was assigned a detail. They are discreet and nearly invisible. Your majesty I understand that it can be a bit hampering to have a close protection detail it is a precaution. One that I will not relax due to events that have transpired previously on this ship and on the Moon. A death in the capital is not something to be disregarded. Any other time I would honor your request but today I cannot. You have my apologies." He finally received the buzz from Annika saying they had a picture of the person who assaulted his security detail and he pulled out his device and quickly scanned the picture. This actually caused him to shake his head. He sighed. This wasn't at all what he wanted to see. He brought up the entire history of the woman in question and looked up at the Queen of Venus with a question coming next as he turned the device toward her. "Aino Freyja is she related to you?" He hoped the answer was no and that he could just let this one cool off for a few hours until after the coronations were over. His last two weeks had been busy enough with all the extra security cameras, computer core upgrades to accommodate both Annika and Jallia plus the shipboard AI that was rather inadequate. That on top of having to play zoo keeper for a bunch of kids that on most days were well behaved but after a bit of drinking and partying acted like entitled and spoiled brats. That was only naming a few of his problems. There was still the fact he had to locate who the hell had a lucrative drug trade and shut them down. The list became endless. "I am certain Queen Minako understands your reasonings, Mr. Vadik, but you can not mean to tell me that a Queen, and my General of Armed Forces, is not allowed to decline a security detail if she doesn't want one, are you?" though the statement was posed as a question, the voice of Neo Queen Serenity II did not sound questioning. If anything, she sounded imperious and disbelieving. The Queen of the System had stepped off her own shuttle a few moments after the Queen of Venus and her grand daughter, Adora, had come off of theirs, and since they were both unloading in the most secure area of the docking bay for the LSS Serenity, it was not hard for the Queen to over hear what was being said. Further, she was eyeing the guards that had sprung up to greet her with something akin to annoyed bemusement. "The truth of the matter is, Mr. Vadik, that the security details on this ship are purely voluntary on the part of the one being 'secured.' I, myself, have three perfectly capable Senshi that act as my constant detail. Queen Minako, who I know is a formidable opponent in any field, is quite capable of protecting herself and Adora--further, Adora is the new Senshi of Venus, and would out rank any of your security should a need arise for her to transform. I do not believe, even should our enemy strike, that a security detail would be necessary for those perfectly able to protect themselves. "Now, were this, say, the Queen of England on Earth come to visit our lovely Academy, then I would insist on a security detail for HER...though I would bet she would also refuse it, seeing that her own, personal guard takes their protection to their monarch very seriously." not that the Queen of England really had any clout. She was more a figure head now than she had ever been in the past, and was just one of the many political leaders that helped the Queen run the various parts of Earth. The leaders of the various countries were more like mayors or sherriffs than presidents or royalty, these days. Serenity had come up on Minako's other side while she spoke, and now she eyed the man that was leading the security forces on the ship. On her shoulder in feline form Diana also eyed the man, and her expression was even more imperious than that of the Queen, if that were possible. While she waited for a response from Vadik, the Queen studied him and brought up what she knew of his position on the ship. From everything she understood, Vadik was leading the new security that had been hired for the LSS Serenity; the company was little more than a hired mercenary corp. Granted, they were clearly good at their job, and they had been hired by those responsible of the LSS Serenity; but in the great scheme of things they really only had strength on the vessel. The Silver Millennium had its own armed forces, lead by Queen Minako of Venus, and the only people that outranked the armed forces were the Senshi, then the Queens...and in some cercumstances, the Senshi outranked even the Queens--though such a circumstance would be dire, indeed. At Serenity's back stood three of the most notible people in the system--Sailors Ceres, Vesta, and Juno. It would appear that Sailor Pallas was not with the Queen, or at least she was not immediately noticeable. The Senshi remained quite while the Queen spoke to Vadik, but Ceres was also giving the man a scrutinous look, though he would not sense any sort of animosity from her. Not like from Queen Serenity, who seemed to be a little on edge. |

Jeran had learned a long time ago, mainly through pain filled lessons taught on the battlefield, when to push and when not to push. The polite smile never left his face at the chastisement or looks from everyone. He bowed formally to the queens, senshi, and princess. "As your majesty wishes. If I may be dismissed to attend to other matters?" He waited as he put away his device. |

Jayson who never chose the most appropriate times to do things took this moment to text Kera. He was still in his room after his morning workout. He texted Kera. ~*I was just wondering if you had any arm candy for the coronation? If not I extend a invitation to you and those with you to take your ease in my suite until the coronation. One other thing, the new security chief is paranoid. Anyways if you can please do stop by and rest here.*~ |

Juno walked off the shuttle with the rest of the group. It had been a long couple of weeks with avoiding the wrath of her oldest sister. It was well worth crashing her date even if at the end they were all called away. She glanced around as she noticed the queen of Venus standing there trying to argue her way out of a security detail. It hardly surprised her that her long time friend put the head of security in his place. She felt a smirk play across her face as a low snicker came across. Of course she would not really say anything however a thought crossed her mind. That poor bastard. He really had it coming.[/] |

Minako curtsied to Neo Queen Serenity II automatically and was pleased to see her granddaughter do the same. Skipping formalities, she frowned. She had a feeling this Jaren fellow would have no good news for her. "She is my other granddaughter," she said cautiously. "Why do you ask?" |

Jeran looked at her and pulled out his device and looked at the preliminary report and shook his head. That team was his greenest team. They believed in benefit of the doubt. He didn't believe in that one bit. "Assault on a team in the Saturn district. They aren't pressing charges. So she can be released into your custody. Your call on that." He waited smile fully gone. That edge that Minako may have sensed before was fully there. An edge she may have known. It depended on how good her memory was with all the distractions. "Ma'am that's up to you." |

Serenity, II was inclined to dismiss Jeran, but Miyako still had business with him in regard to Frejya. Normally the Queen would have stayed out of such business, but in this instance Frejya was also her concern, since she was a Senshi. Still, Minako was the lead of her armies, and this was her grand daughter...perhaps if it had been a minor offense, Serenity would have let it go; but Jeran's brief and somewhat uninformative explanation set the Queen on edge. "Assault on a Team?" the Queen raised a brow, "As in one of your security teams?" she turned to Minako. "You know I normally wouldn't intrude...but I think it best we do something about that, quickly. We certaintly can't have Senshi--any Senshi--assaulting anyone that isn't a direct enemy to the kingdom." her tone suggested she was not going to accept any argument, even if it was Minako's grand daughter that was in trouble. "The security on this ship is still the main police force, and they should still be treated with respect, even by our Senshi. We must keep relations between the two civil and maintain understanding between them, otherwise we will never be able to work together. Afterall, the safety and security of this ship is the priority of BOTH parties." Magenta eyes turned back to Jeran, then, her expression thoughtful. "I have a feeling that you, Minako, and I are going to need to sit down and discuss just HOW your security team and the new Senshi can work together without getting into each other's way when one has more jurisdiction over the other. Unfortunately, with the Coronations of Uranus and Neptune happening in less than a couple of hours, we just don't have the time right now. Perhaps after the coronations are completed?" she looked between both Minako and Jeran, hoping that they would agree to such a sit down. Sailor Ceres remained silent beside the Queen while discussions took place between her, Jeran, and Minako. She wasn't in the least surprised by Serenity's concern in regard to Frejya's behavior, though she doubted the Queen would take any sort of personal hand in whatever punishment would be dealt to the unruly teen. Likely Minako would remain in charge of THAT, but it was only fair that the Queen be kept in the loop when it came to the Senshi of her system. 'Seeing as we are going to be doing the majority of the training with this new Senshi, it may be good that I am kept in the loop, as well...' she thought to herself, making a mental note to bring that up with Minako and the Queen when the third party was no longer in the room. The Senshi may need to work with the security team on the ship, but that did not mean that the security team was to be involved in Senshi business. Suddenly the Senshi's phone buzzed and her hands-free device announced a new text in her ear. Hearing the name of the sender sent a thrill of excitement through Kera, and it took all the discipline she had not to smile at herself in response. I wonder if he's had someone stationed to let him know when I showed up... she thought to herself even as she accessed her phone by clicking a small button in her hands-free device. Soon the device was reading her the message, and this time she couldn't hold in the soft smile that crossed her lips. Unforuntately she was not in a position to answer that text right this second. For one, she couldn't very well agree to any of them going to his suite to pass the time; she had to pass it by the Queen, first, and that would have to wait until she was done speaking with Jeran and Minako. Holding onto her professionlism, the pink-haired Senshi turned off the read-back and waited as patiently as possible for the Queen to be finished. 'Even if the others don't want to go, perhaps the Queen will be kind enough to allow ME to visit him. the main problem was that she and her sisters, save Pallas--who was holding down the fort at the Capitol--were on duty. There to protect the Queen and Princess should anyone take it into their heads to attack during the coronation. These days anything was possible, too...the enemy had been lying low, but they were still out there. Waiting for the right moment to strike. And while I'm on duty, I can't really have Jayson there...can I? perhaps she would ask. This was definitely a first! Never had she been so interested in one of her affairs to actually want them at her side during any sort of ceremony. Her sisters were so going to give her crap about this... |

Minako gritted her teeth. She hadn't left Freyja on the best of terms last time in the light of everything that had happened and now this? Was the girl in a competition with Kusanagi Ito and Prince Trea in who would be the biggest royal scandal? The worst part was, it wasn't even something Minako could keep 'in the family.' Nope, the Queen herself was standing there right along with her royal guards. Fucking fantastic, Minako thought, mentally sighing. Forcing a smile, she looked from Adora to Queen Serenity, weighing her options. "Serenity-sama," she said, going formal with Jeran standing there. Appearances must be maintained after all. "Could I trouble you? I'd feel much better if one of the Astroid Senshi could escort Adora to her room? I'm sure she could use some one-on-one counseling seeing as she's the new leader of the Inner Senshi. I can go deal with this little... event." Normally Adora would have argued. She knew her way to her apartment after all but the truth was she didn't want to be alone right now. Things were still too different, too strange, and if her friends saw her right now, she really wanted the excuse to flee. Like being with her grandmother or one of the Astroid Senshi. She looked at them uncertainly. It was so strange. These women were the superheroes of their age. There were trading cards, action figures, t-shirt, and movies all about them. Heck, every weekend in the year, on one planet or another, there was a conference going on all about the Sailor Senshi. People cosplayed the Astroid more than anything because they were the senshi of the now. The royal protectors of the queen. Just as so many people started tattooing crescent moons on their foreheads and wearing the royal odangos, people mimicked the looks of these four women. And now I'm one of them, she thought. It was so surreal. Being around them hit it home and yet, she still found it so hard to believe. I died and came back different. I died and came back one of them. It had never occurred to Adora before just how much Eternal Sailor Ceres resembled Neo Queen Serenity II. Just like Grandmama looks like Neo Queen Serenity I. Now I look like Neo Sailor Moon. Was that a trait of the leader of those who made up the Queen's Royal Guard? Was that why she looked like this now? |

Jeran remained silent. He had nothing to add nor to protest. He was hoping that Director Volkova had approved his transfer back to the training platform. He might as well mention it when all was said and done. He hadn't altered his stance or what he betrayed through body language. The chastisement and subsequent speech about a sit down, what the fuck were they third graders? It would seem as if he had not even heard what was said by his lack of reaction and body language. He was utterly unreadable physically. Then if you had to ability to emotional turmoil you would hit an icy wall there as well. He had learned a long time ago to compartmentalize and restrict his emotional capacity during conversations like these. "Yes your majesty an assault on a security. After that..." He checked the initial report, "...the rest can be discussed in private." He looked at his security team doing the screenings. All outward appearances they seemed busy. They weren't they had most likely turned up the gain on the amplifiers in their helmets to listen to the conversation. Jeran rattled off an order in what sounded very similar to Latin. "Quid dicis mihi: Ecce!(Get back to work, NOW!)" They quickly went back to what they were doing and he returned his attention to the women. The way he spoke what was said wasn't Latin at all. The consonants were soft where the vowels were hard pulled out for longer than they should have been. Even then the pauses in the phrase were irregular as well. It would be apparent that this was not a known language of Sol so any translators in use would either come up empty or return a nonsense phrase. He never altered the expression on his face as he said it. "A 'sit down' is fine your majesty's. I'll inform Asset Noonica to join us as whatever is determined she can help disperse it to the security assets on board. I trust her with my life and she has yet to let me down in that capacity. That is why she is my number one." Well his decision about attened the coronations was made. It was he would definitely be attending just not in full uniform. He would find something nice to wear. "Whatever comes of this sit down I'll have to ensure my replacement is made aware your majesty's. I have put in to be transferred back to one of the VSSs training platforms. I've been off field assignment long enough." He had put in for that transfer exactly one week ago. It should have been approved by now. He again checked his device and instead of Annika appearing Jallia appeared. ![]() "Commander Vadik..." The AI looked at him impassively. He could tell she was unhappy, "...the director has denied your request for transfer. She quoted VSS regulation 389, part A, paragraph 9, sub parts and paragraphs a3 through e7." He really disliked Jallia sometimes but at least she was honest. Jallia just looked at him and then at those assembled. She really scrutinized all the women as if she had never seen them before. "Thought you'd like the answer to your question. The director will be contacting you shortly. She seemed displeased about this. So make yourself available." Jeran nodded and dismissed Jallia. His attention and focus returned back the women present. He was again that ball of ice. No emotion betrayed by body language or emotion. Dead air. "Your majesty's if it would please you we can go retrieve Queen Aino of Venus' granddaughter from the brig and not take anymore of your time up until later when that time is better spent elsewhere instead of standing in a docking bay." He really wanted off this spacefaring zoo and away from all these people. There was a reason he only visited this system for three days every year. This was one of them. |

Minako's request brought a soft smile and a nod of understanding from the Queen. "Of course." "Sailor Ceres." the Queen turned, taking in the captain of her guard. Though she hadn't given Adora much attention, it had not escaped her how the girl had changed. She well understood what must be going on, but the poor girl was probably feeling a little lost and overwhelmed by the physical and metaphysical changes. There was one person here beyond Minako that would understand...and Ceres had a way with getting others to open up. Perhaps not as much as Sailor Pallas, but this particular issue was more up Ceres' alley. "Majesty?" Ceres came to attention, having anticipated her being called upon the moment Minako asked for an escourt. "Please escourt Princess Adora to her quarters and attend to whatever she may need. I'll have you be her personal detail until I say otherwise." the Queen gave her friend and captain a wink, then turned back to Jeran and Minako. "Yes Majesty." Sailor Ceres placed her fist over her heart and bowed low until the Queen turned away, only then did she stand and move to Adora's side. "Princess Adora, please lead the way." she knew a dismissal when she heard one, and figured Adora didn't need to stand around any longer than she already had. Serenity listened carefully to Jeran's acceptance and nodded her understanding in the addition of 'Noonica', his number one. His attitude, or lack thereof, did not seem to deter her at all. In truth, this was not her first encounter with someone so very professional. Truthfully, his lack of emotion was something of a relief to the Queen, since it meant she did not have to deal with any caterwauling or vapors from someone who SHOULD be professional and efficient. So, despite her 'chastisement' of earlier, overall she was rather pleased with Jeran--seeing as she had nothing to make her feel otherwise, just yet. However, when Jeran mentioned he had already requested to be relieved of this command, the Queen couldn't help but wonder just why he had chosen not to stick around; she never got a chance to ask, however, since at that moment the man received a message from someone making it clear that his request had been denied. Though the announcement had been given for everyone there to hear, Serenity pretended she had not heard it and, further, pretended he had not mentioned his leaving at all. Better to allow him to save face; after all, his reasons for leaving, and the reasons his commander had for denying that leave, were not her business--yet. If they became her business, then she'd worry about it.
"I think that is a wise course of action. I will contact you when we are ready to have that meeting, Jeran. I am thinking later this evening, perhaps after supper. I will keep you informed." with that she turned from the man, clearly dismissing him to go about his own business. "Minako, I trust you to handle your grand daughter without my assistance, so if you have no need of my accompaniment, I think I will go find my daughter." |
