Adora stepped off her family's ship in the docking bay of Serenity Academy. She hadn't set foot on the place in two weeks, ever since the attack on the moon. Her mom and dad had whisked her away from the Moon Kingdom and back home to Venus.

Pulling the hood of the pale pink cloak over her head to hide her hair, she kept her head down as she waited for permission to enter the school. This process used to be far quicker, hadn't it? Especially when she'd used one of her daddy's ships and this was her Grandmama's which had even more clout.

For not wanting to draw too much attention to herself, the cloak probably didn't serve its purpose but it covered her hair. Was it her hair? It was attached to her head but did that really make it hers?

When she'd awakened in the hospital, her hair had been lighter but over the next few days at Venus, it had gone almost white. No matter what Adora did, how many salons she visited, how many bottles of dye she went through, as soon as it dried, her hair was nearly white again.

Her hair was longer, too. Thick and silky, it curled now and spilled over into her face until she had to start braiding it just to be able to see. It was so much heavier now it gave her headaches.

Then there was her eyes. Their beautiful, vibrant pink were gone, leaving her with pale blue. It was like someone had poked holes in them, letting the pink ink spill out, leaving empty glass.

The thoughts left her cold.

She just wanted to get to her room and hide until the Coronation of Kaimana and Ito as the crown princesses of Neptune and Uranus. If not for that event - being that she's now the crown of Venus - she wouldn't have even come back.

Glancing outside one of the large windows, she saw Mars floating in the distance, surrounded by inky black and stars. So very many stars.

A warm hand touched the small of her back and Adora turned to look at her grandmother.

"Its going to be alright, darling," Minako assured. "You know, I always looked a lot like Usagi-chan. Neo Queen Serenity I."

Tears made Adora's eyes swim. "I don't even look like me, anymore, Grandmama."

Minako lowered the hood of her granddaughter's cloak. "But you're still my beautiful granddaughter," she said. "And the exact same on the inside. Nothing important has changed, Adora." Tucking a strand of white-blonde hair behind Adora's ear, Minako pressed her forehead against her granddaughter's.

Adora sighed and turned away, saying nothing. Grandmama and her parents had been repeating those words over and over again but now she had to go and face the kids at school. They were going to stare and not in a good way. Twice on Venus she'd ventured out of her father's hotel and both time she'd been mistaken for Miyako. She'd become a doopleganger for the princess as her grandmother had been before her.

Jeran couldn't believe that using his first name was warranted considering the situation.

"That's Asset Vadik ma'am. It a reminder of what I am. I have not been called Jeran in public for quite a number of years your majesty. I can't remember the last time I was addressed by first name."

He really couldn't remember the last time he had been addressed by first name by anyone whom was considered a client, superior, or subordinate to him. While it didn't bother him it was a gentle reminder he was a tool or an asset and to used accordingly.

"Queen Aino of Venus if you don't know your way to security I'm headed there now to go over the activities report from last night. As I'm expected to be present to receive a call I am awaiting your dismissal ma'am."

That was his professionalism and partly a way of him being exactly what they may think he was which happened to be a disposal asset. He could be replaced at anytime.

Adora blushed as Neo-Queen Serenity II had assigned Sailor Ceres to escort her. Well, she didn't want to go alone so... Giving her an uncertain smile, she said, "This way."

She sort of wished Ceres had come in her civilian form though. As a senshi she was bound to draw more attention to them then Adora wanted right now.

Just as Serenity had, Minako ignored Jaren's statements. At least she tried. However much she might be curious as to why he didn't want to stay, she refused to ask.

"Of course," she said, inclining her head to the queen. It was just as well Chibiusa didn't come along. This was embarrassing enough as it was.

The text from Ogan would hopefully reach Adora's phone because he called her more times than he called his mother over two weeks.

*Adora I hope I haven't done anything to offend you. I was wondering if you were doing well. I only heard bits and pieces of why you weren't here. I am worried for you. If you have time please call or text me.*

Juno cleared her throat briefly as the queen called upon her sister to escort Adora. It was one of those times that she was very thankful it was not her. She would have a hard time being able to understand all of the changes going on or even what they mean. She replaced Ceres by flanking the queen as she watched her sister take off. She turned her attention back to the matter at hand as Jaren received his message. She felt an eyebrow raised at the mention of his request being denied. It was an interesting fact. She could not help but be excited by the fact that Chibiusa was ready to see her daughter. She enjoyed spending time around the little scamp. She awaited the queen's signal that they were moving on. Her eyes flicked over as the oldest of Queen Setsuna's grandkids went running by.

Jeran started off for the security area. He wasn't waiting anymore. He had already impacted his morning enough plus he was going to have to read up on the regulation quoted to him.

"Your majesties if you'll excuse me. I have work to take care of."

He wasn't going to keep the director waiting. That was the last woman in the known universe he would make wait on him. He wasn't waiting on them to make a decision. That would take forever. So off to security, a plate of chow, and a conversation.

Sailor Vesta stood quietly behind her two sisters. She fidgeted with her skirt, as she half listened to the exchange regarding security measures. Ridiculous really, that's what she was there for. She peered curiously at Jeran. She wouldn't mind showing him a thing or two about "security".

She turned a surprised but hidden glance at Ceres. She could hear her cell phone buzzing around in her pocket and it was easy to guess that it was the guy she went out with. She glanced over at Juno, half expecting to her to call out their other sister. But she stayed professional and soon enough Ceres was asked to escort the Venetian Princess.

She looked over at Juno. "Ceres is awfully popular now."

Juno chuckled a bit at the comment made by Vesta. She really had not missed the ringing of Ceres phone, however it was not the time nor the place to pick on her sister. Oh she was tempted, so very tempted however there would be plenty of time for that later.

She glanced over at her younger sister with a wicked smile. "Well you know her, she is very likable, too likeable at times. I think it is best we keep on eye on her. You never know what sort of trouble she might find herself in." She winked her eye.

Neo Queen Serenity, II hadn't been expecting the man to speak to her, again, but hearing his statement she turned her attention back to him, tilting her head to one side curiously. Even more curious was that the feline on her shoulder, Diana, was giving him the very same look, complete with the tilted head.

Never in all the time she had been Queen had anyone not of her family dared to correct her on anything. Perhaps the use of his first name had not been entirely warranted, since they were not friends or even really acquaintances, but it was her perogotive to use such informality if she chose. He had given her his first name, after all, so why not use it?

For a moment both sets of eyes seemed to be weighing him; the Queen contemplated explaining that she was simply trying to put him at ease with dropping the formality, but it was clear that she had accomplished quite the opposite. Several moments passed, then the Queen righted herself and nodded her understanding without actually saying anything else.

"Juno, Vesta." the Queen gently called to her remaining Senshi, turning away from both Jeran and Queen Minako and heading out of the docking bay, entirely. Her bags and other personal items would be delivered to the room she had ellected to save for when she would be visiting the ship, so she really only had to worry about carrying her sceptor--and that was more a staff than anything. It clicked on the floor with each step she took, as did the heels hidden in her long, pink gown.

Once out of hearing she glanced to iether side of her where Sailors Vesta and Juno flanked her. "So, what are your thoughts on 'Asset Jeran Vadik?'"

"Impertinent..." Diana sniffed, her whiskers twitching. "He does not care for YOUR authority...I do not believe authority itself is his problem. I got the distinct impression that he does not care for the concept of 'royalty.'"

"Juno, you're going to be the death of everyone's sex life. You know that?" Vesta shifted from one foot to the other. She was getting impatient and bored, two of her less lady like traits. "Do you think we'll be escorting the princess or the queens?"

Juno did all she could from bursting out laughing at her sister's comment. Tears would glisten from her eyes as a hand covered her mouth. Her trust in people had faded since the attacks started. The use of innocent people that could turn on them at any moment bothered her greatly, plus who knew the true identity of those who seek to destroy the peace. It was also that she always thought of herself as the protector of the group, even if it got her into more trouble than she bargained for.

Her response to her sister was cut short as the queen started walking forward. Her eyes scanned the area around her constantly as she looked for threats, her pace matching perfectly with the queen. After so many years of service, she was able predict to movements of her long time friend to the point in which it looked like she was reading the queen's mind.

She cleared her throat at the comment the gray cat had made as she thought about the answer to the question. She was not the best at reading people, that was left to her other sisters. "Honestly, I found him to be a pompous ass. He forgets who was protecting the world long before he was. We are more than a match for any of his so called security guards. I mean they had little chance against Freyja. I do wonder how many of them have bruises the size of grapefruits."

Vesta followed her Queen and sister, falling in line with them. "Now now," Vesta said, trying to cool things down. "I think he's just very efficient and he clearly feels very protective of the ship," Vesta said. "Perhaps his tone was out of line, but I think he feels that the ship is his responsibility. And your highness," Vesta address her good friend properly when in uniform and among the civilians who could over here. "Now that you and the rest of the royalty will be on board, well, we all need be extra careful and extra efficient. Actually he kind of reminds me of Queen Ami but less friendly."
