Star Trek Encyclopedia; I wish they'd update it.

I have two editions of the Star Trek Encyclopedia, one from 1996 and the other is from 1999. I wish they could write and updated version to include the Voyager Seasons 5-7, Enterprise and Nemesis.

Now I know St.com has a rather large database for Star Trek info, but I have unlimited access to my books rather than the internet. B)

I would love an updated version too, I also have the older ones.

But I think they're looking at the demand thing- Star Trek books aren't selling all that great, so why put out a huge bible-encyclopedia that people may or may not buy?

It would be sooooo nice though. I actually sit there and read the encyclopedia... how nerdy is that?

That's pretty much it. There's no demand outside the hardline niche readers of 'Trek-tech books-- which is a very small market. What they should do is revive the idea that had about the ST Encylopedia CD-ROM. You bought the base disc, then you paid by the update to download new updates for the Encylopedia. It was rumored to be in the ealry planning stages back when Voyager was still on the air, but it it wne the way of several 'Trek projects: No where.
Fans of the canceled TV series, "Star Trek: Enterprise," are trying to raise enough money on their own to pay for another season! It's either that or go outside. So far, they've raised $3 million largely by not dating. - Bill Maher
