The purpose of this thread is for GeordiLaTuvok to take out all his frustrations here about the WWE and then we all fight and retaliate. This thread is also used by me to say why I think TNA is the gayest thing since homosexuality was allowed in Canada. So let the flaming wars begin. ![]() And now it is the official wrestling thread. LOL! I feel special .

TNA Sucks! It is boring, they don't do that good of stunts like WWE pulls off but then again the WWE doesn't do stunts like ECW did. Man I wish I knew about ECW when I was a kid so I could of watched it. But I dont even like 99% of the wrestlers on TNA. I just find ECW :boring:. WWE is not as good as it once was. It would be better however if they brought back Stone Cold and the Rock! That would be awesome! |

lol, Just to clarify, as frustrating as I find WWE at the moment, I still don't think it sucks. I think WWE -creative- sucks beyond all reason, and with a McMahon at the helm or not, there is no good reason why they haven't changed that regime by now. TNA didn't make a prop out of Chris Candido when he died, because that's just something you don't freaking do. The wrestling in WWE is another matter. Now, as I've said, for the most part, it's not really on par with TNA. And that's not the wrestlers' fault, this is once again the fault of the McMahons. If people like the cruisers, RVD, Booker T, The Mexicools, and so on and so forth weren't actually being told by the company not to perform to the best of their abilities so they don't show up Triple H and Undertaker, then their in-ring product would probably at least be on par with that of TNA's. |
Once upon a time, a man lived. This man was a man who really lived. He was the best there was at what he did, living. Living is what he did, and he did it well. In fact, he did it too well. He lived so well that he made other people stop living. That is why he had to be stopped. To stop him, they sent Rimo.

Any weakness in the WWE can be explained using two words. Stephanie McMahon. All the crappy angles, characters, skits, segments, gimmicks and storylines come directly from the pen of that useless bint. Vince's constant obsession with musclemen (rather than smaller talented wrestlers) and indulging his sexual fantasies onscreen (he should venture into the porn industry and thus spare the WWE his weird fantasies) is another reason why the WWE suffers. The political stroke of Triple H is the other major problem in the WWE. So far this year, he's already sabotaged the career of Edge (who's title reign produced the highest ratings for the WWE in years) and John Cena (who desperately needs to turn heel). He took the title from Edge and put it back on Cena because he wanted to play the "big bad heel" role to Cena's face champion. Despite the fact that Cena is getting booed and we honestly do not need another Triple H title reign. A lack of clear divisions and a poor roster structure and talent pool is also a problem, again the blame lies with Vince, Triple H and Steph. I can't see much wrong with TNA other than maybe two things. 1- Hiring too many unnecessary WWE and WCW castoffs and washed up "stars". I have no idea what the hell Sean Waltman, Kevin Nash, Gail Kim and Jackie Gayda add to the company. All of them should be fired. TNA should concentrate on hiring people like Brock Lesnar and Goldberg (if they are willing to work for a reasonable fee) and recruit disillusioned WWE talent like Shelton Benjamin, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit and Rob Van Dam. That would be a better use of funds than hiring people like Sting and Scott Steiner. 2- Although I love Cruiserweight or "X Division" wrestling, I think there is a problem in that they try to rush their moves. I like the idea that Cruiserweight's do innovative moves, but what is essential is that they must be paced gradually throughout the match to allow the crowd to appreciate them. The reason for this is most likely because TNA iMPACT only has one hour on air, so matches tend to be short and wrestlers feel the need to do their moves quickly. Once TNA expands to two hours, this problem may fade. A slower pace also reduces the risk of botched moves and blown spots. |

On the TNA issues you bring up: 1. I both agree and disagree with you on the people they are bringing in. I think Sting and Steiner both probably came with too high of a price tag for them to really be worth it, but as long as they are used primarily to put over the younger talents in TNA (most specifically Christian Cage and Samoa Joe), then I have no problems with it. If instead, we get WCW 2.0 and they start becoming the main focus, then they will be a problem. I agree with you that Shelton, Jericho, Benoit, and RVD would probably be some of the best talent acquisitions they could make, as the TNA fanbase recognizes their talent regardless of what WWE has done to them. I also think Goldberg would be good for popping the fanbase a bit. I disagree about Lesnar, though. While Lesnar was a good worker (in fact, remarkably good...some of 2003's best matches were between him and Kurt), TNA's fanbase is still mainly the Internet fans. The 'net fans hate Lesnar with a passion after the way he babied out of WWE, and while that might seem like a good idea for heel heat, I think that would just generate the wrong sort of heat. TNA fans like to respect their wrestlers, whether they be faces or heels, and Lesnar has lost too much respect from the fans. That's the same reason TNA will never bring back Buff Bagwell, despite Buff's hilarious remark that he's "heading back to TNA." 2. Agreed completely here. This is the main reason AJ, Daniels, and Joe have become so solidifed as the top three guys of the X-Division. They know how to work the style perfectly. They'll do the insane high spots and all the crazy moves, but they will balance it out with solid mat wrestling and good storytelling in between. Chris Sabin is a guy that can do this as well, and that's why I think that now that they're splitting the "big three" up, Sabin's going to be the first candidate to fill in the gap. |
