ECW was awsome!!!

best match last night edge, Folly and Lita vs. Dreamer, Funk and What'sherface

Sabu vs. Rey was crazy ended with both guys going to the ER lol

Angle tapped RKO out.

the best element of EWC though, is the fans. you could tell Vince had nothing to do with the event because the fans had total freedome. they chanted "pussy", "fuck you Cena", and "same old shit", and a lot more you would never see on Raw. the best part of the night was when Cena threw his shirt to the fans and they just kept thowing it back at him lol.

I'm looking forward to the weekly show, if I can find it in Canada...

One Night Stand owned...every match was at least really good, except for the main event, and even that was still fun, because the crowd was being so awesome. There were also a few stellar matches, like Angle vs. Orton, Super Crazy & Tajiri vs. FBI, and Edge & Foley vs. Funk & Dreamer.
Once upon a time, a man lived. This man was a man who really lived. He was the best there was at what he did, living. Living is what he did, and he did it well. In fact, he did it too well. He lived so well that he made other people stop living. That is why he had to be stopped. To stop him, they sent Rimo.

Ok.... I don't like any of the ECW guys but Sabu... He is good. (Of course not counting RVD)
That is probably why they drafted Angle and the big show, I couldn't take an entire show of people just beating each other.

That being said I'm loving the show and all of WWE

Vince McMahon clearly doesn't understand ECW in the least. Sure, there were guys like Sandman and Balls Mahoney, who just hit people with things, but that is by -no- means what ECW was really like.

See, Kurt Angle could have fit into the old ECW, because ECW also had incredible technical wrestling on it. Let's not forget, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho, Psychosis, and a ton of others like them all got their U.S. starts in ECW. Of course, does Vince play up that aspect of ECW? No, no, no...in Vince's mind, it was just people hitting each other with sticks.

It was also really frustrating to me to see how the first show was booked. That stripper, for instance? You know Vince thought that was totally ECW-esque, because the bimbo actually removed her bra and cupped her boobs. And yet, I don't remember ever seeing that sort of bs in ECW...but we see it on Raw almost every week, sans the boob cupping.

I understand that the zombie and vampire stuff is a shot at SciFi, which has told WWE that they want aliens, vampires, and the like on the show, so I don't blame them for that. That's not WWE's fault at all.

I love how WWE has been booked to look 100% superior to ECW. Let's go back to WWE vs. ECW Head to Head and look at how it was all booked from there:

At the battle royal, all ECW talents were eliminated, except for one...Kurt Angle, who's really a WWE guy. Angle then gets eliminated, but ECW wins because it turns out Big Show's actually an ECW guy. ECW is saved by...a WWE guy.

One Night Stand rolls around. There are several ECW vs. WWE matches. Up until the main event, only one of those matches was won by an ECW guy. And which match was that? Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton...so Kurt Angle, a WWE guy, picks up ECW's only win before the main event.

Main event time! John Cena beats the living crap out of RVD for the entire match, until Edge, a WWE guy, comes out to save RVD's ass. RVD gets the bitch pin for the win, but hey, at least RVD's a guy who's been in WWE for a while!

The first ECW show: Kurt Angle comes out and absolutely, completely destroys the crap out of Justin Credible, a former ECW Champion. There is then a battle royal, in which Big Show eliminates -every- -single- -person- in the match, except for Sabu, who gets a lucky win.

...Yeah, ECW is really being made to look great here. Oh well, maybe after Vengeance comes and goes, Vince will step back on the booking of ECW and let Paul Heyman and Tommy Dreamer do their thing.

Man you really hate Vince...lol

.......

Are you ready?

Loving DX! Too bad we can't get the new age outlaws back. Oh well. Maybe Vince can pull a Ted Turner and get them back.

It's almost enough to make me change my sig to "Suck it!"

No not yet....

lol, There's a lot I -greatly- dislike about Vince. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely respect and appreciate everything he's done for the wrestling business, but at the same time, he has also done many things to severely hurt the business (such as buying out WCW).

Mainly, I just think it's frustrating that he thinks he is a capable booker, when if you look at the history of the company, all the times that ratings and business have been down are the times when he's had the most influence over the booking. During the Attitude era, he basically just let Vince Russo and Chris Kreski take over, and that was the single most successful period in the company's history. Vince thinks he has a great mind for booking, but history has shown that that's anything but true. Vince does have a great mind for business, which is why WWE will always be the #1 wrestling promotion in the world, but he needs to get himself away from creative, and take his creatively challenged daughter with him.

...I think at the moment, I'm just in an especially anti-Vince mood, because of how horribly he's screwing up ECW. After Head to Head and One Night Stand, despite them making the WWE guys look superior to the ECW guys, I was actually really excited. Both of those shows were really good, and I was thinking maybe ECW, while it would never be classic ECW, could be a cool alternative to Raw and SmackDown. Then the ECW show debuted...and it was the worst hour of wrestling television I've seen in quite some time, which is really saying something in this day and age. Originally, Heyman & Dreamer were going to be the only realy creative team for ECW. Then, Vince started getting excited about it, and now it's just Raw's creative team, with particular influence from Vince, and Heyman added in for kicks, with Dreamer not even being a part of creative anymore. It's just really frustrating, and it makes me cringe that there are going to be people who never watched ECW and think "This is what ECW was like?"

...Anyway, on a positive note, I agree with you about DX, for many reasons. First off, most importantly, DX is just awesome, and HBK and Triple H both seem like they're having a ton of fun doing it. That's coming across, and it made last night a lot of fun to watch. On top of that, I think both of the characters had grown a little bit stale lately, so reforming DX has taken two top guys who were getting boring, and has made them interesting again. Whoo for DX!
