I was disappointed to see Triple H come at the end of RAW... I was kind of looking forward to seeing new faces. I would have liked a little time without Triple H and Batista... |

In case anyone was wondering, WWE announced today why they released Umaga. He failed his second Wellness Policy violation. While your second strike is meant to lead to a 60 day suspension, Umaga refused to go to rehab, and so WWE felt they had no choice but to release him. Sad to hear, Umaga was one of WWE's most overlooked talents, as I really thought he was a hell of a worker, but I have to agree with WWE here. |

same here, i watched smackdown two days ago for the first time in about a year. it was enjoyable. lots of fun talent on that show now. what was surprising is that it seems melina and khali are now good guys? wtf? there are some people who you'd never think would pass as a good guy, so this was very tough for me to get used to. Nitro or whatever is name is now has gotten really good, i was never really impressed by him before. and his tag partner, k-truth or whatever was really enjoyable. good smack talkers always make it big it seems, from rock to y2j to cena...this new Truth guy might have a big future. |

R-Truth has actually been on the national scene for the better part of a decade now, though a lot of people don't realize it. He first debuted for WWE back in like 2000, or around then, as Road Dogg's rapping little buddy K-Kwik. Shortly after Road Dogg was released, WWE decided they didn't have anything for him and let him go. He went to TNA where he wrestled under his real name of Ron Killings, and that's also where he first picked up the nickname "The Truth." In their early years, TNA used him as one of their main event talents, even putting the NWA Championship on him at one point. However, as the company grew, they seemed to forget about Ron Killings (which was very frustrating, both for him and a lot of the fans), and eventually he chose to leave. WWE picked him back up, probably about a year ago now, and he has been working on SmackDown ever since. I've always been a big fan of his, and would love to see this finally be his big break. One interesting note, R-Truth is the only guy ever to use the same entrance music in both TNA and WWE. Since he actually wrote and owns the music, he started using it toward the end of his run in TNA. I guess WWE took notice of how over the "What's up?" thing is, and decided to let him keep using it. Awesome move on WWE's part, in my opinion. |

Vince McMahon has lost it, selling RAW to Donald Trump... this better be part of some kind of storyline like the whole Ric Flair take over thing or else this is the stupidest thing Vince has ever done. |

Well it is, of course, a storyline...but I agree, this is about as awful of a storyline as you can come up with. Donald freakin' Trump? Really? If you're going to do something like this, at least let it be someone interesting. I was into the whole concept of the story, and was getting really excited for the big reveal...and then they laid a big, stinking Trump on us. |

eh, Trump is as good as Flair or anyone else. It's jut basically reading the script of the part of "the new owner". Doesn't really matter who it is. And Trump brings more mainstream media which makes more people tune in. So is this going to lead to a smackdown versus raw thing? Another Invasion? Edited by Kat, Jun 16 2009, 10:58 AM.

My problem with Trump is that he's not a wrestling personality. He doesn't actually care about any of this and isn't going to dedicate himself to this. I imagine we'll see him live at the arena next Monday, but then I'll be shocked to ever actually see him live at a show again. On top of that, his delivery just sucks and he doesn't know how to get a wrestling angle over, so I just don't see anything worthwhile coming from this, unless he does something like appoint Ric Flair (or someone to that effect) as the new General Manager of Raw. As for SmackDown vs. Raw...I really, really hope not. SmackDown has been nothing short of phenomenal for the last couple of months, and if you put Vince on the show, it's only going to drag it down. Furthermore, a large part of the reason SmackDown has been so good is that since they moved to a network with such terrible market penetration, Vince has largely stopped paying attention to it. If they do something major like a Raw vs. SmackDown storyline, Vince is going to focus his attention back onto it, and nothing good can come from that. |

I thought last nights show was really good... 1st off it's always good to see Christian on RAW I loved how in Big Show's first fight he was the punk and they were all trying to pin him... But in the next fight he basically beat everyone by himself... The Hardy, Edge and CM Punk fight was great.... I actually was not sure if Punk was hurt or not at first... Good show... |
