Lou Albano was definitely one of the all-time great managers. I was really sad to hear about this. Rest in peace, Captain Lou! |
Once upon a time, a man lived. This man was a man who really lived. He was the best there was at what he did, living. Living is what he did, and he did it well. In fact, he did it too well. He lived so well that he made other people stop living. That is why he had to be stopped. To stop him, they sent Rimo.

Shane McMahon resigned from WWE today. No real word as to why yet, although when you consider his history with the company, it becomes real easy to speculate. That said, any speculation is just that: speculation. |

Wait...what? What history with the company?? I'm so confused, I thought it would all be his one day. |

It stopped being his about 8 years ago, when Stephanie came in and shoved him right out of the way. Ever since Steph took over creative, it has been apparent that she and Triple H were the heirs to the throne. While I never heard of any particular bitterness from Shane over it, it's hard to imagine there wasn't some. It only gets worse when you compile it with the fact that, according to some inside WWE, Vince has actually cultivated a closer relationship with Triple H since he married Stephanie than he has with Shane. Now, again, I'm not actually saying any of this has to do with why he left, there haven't been reports yet on what lead to the decision. I'm just saying that after spending eight years listening to online talk of how Shane was being gradually edged out more and more, it wouldn't surprise me to find out that he'd had enough and resigned. |

Just to update, the early word is that Shane's short term plans are to help Linda in her run for the senate. |

I would actually find it more likely that Shane would start his own promotion, since he has his own ideas about how wrestling should be promoted and neither WWE nor TNA agrees with him on that. As for McMahon resignations...well, there are only two left there now, since Linda had already departed to run for the senate. It is a very weird thought that there are only two McMahons working for that company right now. |

i would love it if Vince really gave Shane control over the WCW brand to see what he could do with it. i'm sure Shane has enough money in his bank account to buy it from his dad. after all Vince only paid 2.5 mill for it anyway. |

Aaaaaand another bit of huge wrestling news. Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have each signed deals with TNA. There are thus far unconfirmed rumors that Ric Flair might be right behind them. |
