Maybe Bret could bring someone out of the "abyss" to wrestle? Austin, the Rock, etc...

Oh, this sort of slipped through the cracks while the Bret story was breaking, but Tommy Dreamer asked for his release from his WWE contract and, by all accounts, finished up with the company yesterday.
Once upon a time, a man lived. This man was a man who really lived. He was the best there was at what he did, living. Living is what he did, and he did it well. In fact, he did it too well. He lived so well that he made other people stop living. That is why he had to be stopped. To stop him, they sent Rimo.

HBK seems to have no trouble turning bad guy as far as I see. Both he and HHH are very good at it. He turned bad when he fought Hulk Hogan when everyone thought Bret Hart was going to make a surprise appearance.

But there is no reason both can't be good guys (which I always like better anyway)

Can't stand Tommy Dreamer happy to see him go. it is amazing to me that people leave a good contract tho...

Dreamer's passion has always been wrestling. When WWE forced his retirement a few years ago and gave him the office position, he begrudgingly accepted that maybe his in-ring career was over. Then WWE relaunched ECW and let him get back in the ring, only to shortly follow that up by sending him back to being a non-factor. Honestly, I don't blame Tommy for leaving one bit, since now he can find somewhere to work that will actually let him work. TNA is always the obvious choice in these situations, and with Taz and Brother Ray in the company, it certainly seems like there would be a spot open for him. I feel like I haven't seen a real Dreamer match since ECW died in 2001, I'd love to see whether or not he can still actually go.

As for HBK turning bad...I don't know that the issue comes from Shawn Michaels not wanting to turn heel as much as WWE not going ahead with it. There comes a certain point in most wrestlers careers where the fans just aren't going to boo them anymore, and I would say HBK has easily reached that point.

The one way they'd boo HBK might be a feud with Hart....but the danger there is, they may root for HBK and boo Bret, which'd end that comeback quick.

HBK always gets booed in Canada.

You guys know as well as I do that that means nothing. Any time anybody gets a different reaction in Canada, they just have Jerry Lawler scream "Bizarro World!" about 800 times.

Do you really think the American audience, who would be the people that almost all (if not all, since Bret only signed a four month contract) of the shows would be taped in front of, could be coerced to boo Shawn Michaels?
