ECW got canned like a month ago and was replaced with WWE NXT.

I'm surprised with you Kai that you just now found out about this. :wtf:

And NXT has already been canned, although it will exist until October when SmackDown moves to SyFy.
Once upon a time, a man lived. This man was a man who really lived. He was the best there was at what he did, living. Living is what he did, and he did it well. In fact, he did it too well. He lived so well that he made other people stop living. That is why he had to be stopped. To stop him, they sent Rimo.

I am not going to watch a show with new people and has nothing to do with the other story lines...

4 WWE shows in one week is too many... Not that I watch Superstars either...

I don't know that I would say it has nothing to do with other storylines, when David Otunga is serving as Batista's bitch on Raw, Darren Young is seemingly being used weekly on SmackDown, and Daniel Bryan appears to be being set up for a feud with Miz. I do certainly understand having a limit on watching too much, though.

you know i understood the point of Tough Enough as a competition... but as we all know the matches on NXT are pre scripted and pre-determaned as to who is going to win. that means that the whole "competition" aspect of it is a farce and means nothing since they already know who is going to win NXT. why put the audience throught it when the rookies will just go back to FCW and be brought back in at a later date anway?

if they want a show to shocase the new guys of WWE why not just make a show to do that... they could call it... oh i don't know...

ECW :sarcastic:

Because the winner of the competition is not predetermined. While the matches, obviously, are booked like any other wrestling matches, WWE is honestly giving these guys their 16 weeks to make an impression. If the winner was already determined, they wouldn't have changed the format of winning the show twice already. Originally, the idea was simply that there was going to be one winner, and that was that. Then, they were going with the idea that the #1 guy would get a Raw contract, #2 a SmackDown contract, #3-5 would be back for the next season, and #6-8 would be completely eliminated. Then, they finally wound up declaring on TV that there would be just one winner, and that winner would get a title shot. If they knew going in who was going to win, there wouldn't have been so much indecision about that.

Now, with that said, I think going in they knew that guys like Michael Tarver and Skip Sheffield were only there to fill out the line-up, while somebody like Daniel Bryan or Heath Slater has a lot more to offer.

Also, holy crap, I really enjoyed Impact this week. It feels good to say that again. It would be even better if I didn't expect it to be the last time in a long time I would feel that way, but I'll take what I can get.

I never thought that that Volcano in Europe was going to effect me at all... But it all comes back to wrestling... I like the show it was pretty funny (too much comedy for a regular show, but as it turned out to be a special occasion and it worked out, by accident) I really like McGrubber's girlfriend and Jericho :p ... Also I never liked CM Punk as a good guy, but really like him as a bad guy... Speaking of NXT I am surprised that there was a Battle Royal or something with them last night. It would have given them a good show case...

I'm watching TNA right now so I'll get back to you guys...

edit: (half way through TNA) A few weeks ago on Smackdown they made a point to stop the bleeding of a wrestler... But on TNA they still bleed, alot, on a regular basis (which I hate)... Is WWE's policy to stop the blood letting... and am I the only one concerned about blood transmitting disease in TNA?

edit: RVD 420!!! :smoke:

WWE's decision to interrupt matches to stop bleeding extends from the PG direction they've gone in, which actually now that I'm thinking about, is sort of funny. Last time the WWF was super kid-friendly, it seemed like Hulk Hogan was bleeding all over everything all the time to set up big angles. Times change, I suppose.

Honestly, I have no problem with blood, as long as the guys are getting checked out (which we know they are in WWE, at least). What I don't like is that TNA is still doing chairshots to the head. On the same week that both WWE and ROH officially announced that unprotected chairshots to the head would no longer be allowed in their companies, TNA has Homicide go out and blast Rob Terry with a chair as hard as he possibly can. Like...I understand the desire for TNA to do things that differentiate themselves, but seriously...do they not understand the reason WWE and ROH put a stop to those?

I've been with friends watching wrestling and they celebrated the fact that, "He took the chair shot." Apparently alot of people find it cool...
