So GenMgr. Stone Cold told Shamus he had to sit in his little cushy chair and watch wrestling for the whole night to pick who he had to wrestle at Night of Champions....the only thing missing was the dunce cap.... I really liked it when Daniel Bryan decided to finish off Cena's match against Miz and put him in that wicked armbar/crossface. I was convinced that since Melina had to wrestle that night, that Shamus would be an ass and choose her to defend against, but he chose Zack Ryder and wrestled him then and there with an immediate pinfall from one kick, saying that now he doesnt have to defend for another 30 days. So Stone Cold then emails again and says he has wrestle at NoC against 5 other guys - the winners of that night's matches, and Wade Barrett, with Barrett reminding Shamus that he still has a contract stating that he gets a title match at the PPV of his choice. And then Cena, Edge, Jericho and Orton ambushed and stomped down Barrett in the ring when he was all alone without his buddies.....with Orton then powering through and clearning the ring of WWE Superstars afterwards - NICE |

I would say it's very unlikely Stone Cold is going to be revealed as the mystery GM. He's not the least likely person for it to be, but he took his HoF induction very seriously and saw that as his farewell from the company. If we see Austin again in WWE, I would say it will be in little one-off appearances, as opposed to a regular role like a GM. Plus, if you're just saying that based off of the teases they put in the emails one week, keep in mind that they've also teased it as Roddy Piper and Shawn Michaels over the weeks as well. The Daniel Bryan angle was a lot of fun. He and Miz should have a really fun feud with each other. Miz is absolutely 100% ready for the main event. My guess would be Miz puts up his US Title against Bryan at NoC, drops the belt, and gains the WWE Championship very soon after (possibly even the same night). Logically speaking, Wade Barrett is being cheated out of his championship opportunity that he got by winning NXT. Granted, it was never clearly stated that he would receive a one-on-one match for the belt, but that should go without saying. As far as I'm concerned, after NoC, Barrett will still be owed a title opportunity. However, WWE tends not to pay long-term attention, and my assumption would be that we won't be getting that match at some point. Also, hated the booking here. While it does make sense that the guys would want to attack Barret 5-on-1, to me that just defangs the character a bit, especially since ever since they pretty handily destroyed the Nexus angle at Summerslam, they still haven't done anything to rebuild the group yet. WWE is dangerously close to blowing it with Nexus, they need to be really careful about how they book them going forward. |
Once upon a time, a man lived. This man was a man who really lived. He was the best there was at what he did, living. Living is what he did, and he did it well. In fact, he did it too well. He lived so well that he made other people stop living. That is why he had to be stopped. To stop him, they sent Rimo.

While I like Hot Rod, I think he's been a bit too out of touch with the scene, but offers a lot of entertainment value in a GM role. Stone Cold would make for a lot of fun as GM, but this is a way to get HBK back in the scene. All would do really well, but I hope Stone Cold is the one. As for the Barrett Gangbang? Meh, it was a long time coming, and I hope it happens to each and every one of them, but they'll probably just use this as another facet of the Nexus' current "Natural Selection" angle. |

i think having Austin as GM would be a bad idea. he's already had the position of GM as well as "Sherrif". it's going to be someone we are not expecting, they seem to building Michael Cole as the new heel on RAW and the way things are going i'm willing to wager they are going to put him in as the role of GM. |

Personally, I'm sort of leaning towards Triple H right now. The only thing keeping me from fully expecting it to be him is the fact that he's made some pretty heelish decisions. Also, if it is Triple H, he's obviously not going to be keeping the position very long after he's revealed, because H will want to get back in the ring. Michael Cole makes sense, too, especially since they have indeed been positioning him as a heel. |
