Orton beat Christian one-on-one to win the belt.
Once upon a time, a man lived. This man was a man who really lived. He was the best there was at what he did, living. Living is what he did, and he did it well. In fact, he did it too well. He lived so well that he made other people stop living. That is why he had to be stopped. To stop him, they sent Rimo.

this has caused a huge rift on one site i'm on into two factions essentially The Peeps and The Doubters, and it's been going back and forth since Tuesday night when the news broke after the show was taped.

I have a really hard time seeing how anyone could make a strong argument on the non-Christian side. I'm curious to hear what the other group's reasoning is. If it has to do with doubting that Christian is a main-event caliber talent, that holds no water, because they didn't give him an opportunity to prove it one way or the other.

that's essentially their argument, wich given the amount of backlash on WWE for what they did is clearly not true. Christians fanbase is arguably just as big as Orton's or any of the tope stars in WWE today with the exception of maybe Cena or Taker

I think the thing that annoys me about that is that I can actually see the central point they're making. As much as I love Christian (I'd actually go so far as to call him my second favorite active wrestler after CM Punk), he always has sort of felt like he was lacking that one thing to really put him over the top as a main eventer. The problem with that logic is that if there was ever a chance to find out if Christian had it, there would never be a better opportunity. Hell, just watching Extreme Rules, Christian got twice the pop for winning the belt than Cena did, so you'd think that would be a good indicator that this was the time to really find out. I just don't understand the logic of anybody who then looks at this and says "Well, he probably isn't a main event guy, so better to get the belt right off of him."

Everything happens for a reason, but sometimes the reason is that you're stupid and make bad decisions.

my buddies and I are gonna be watching the Macho Man DVD set this sunday instead of Over The Limit.

i have some old pre-WWF tapes of him including one called Randy "Macho Man" Savage: The Missing Matches and some WWF late 80's early 90's tapes as well.

i guess GOD's replacement has arrived
