Kurt Angle blasts WWE, especially Vince McMahon

Check out this little number.
What is the terror of death?
That we die, our work incomplete.
What is the joy of life?
To die knowing our task is done.

I've been pondering whether or not to comment on that here since that went up.

At the very least, it's an interesting interview, but a fair amount of it does come across as bs. I have a hard time listening to Kurt Angle talk about how he was held back politically (not that it's not true, but then when you see someone like Chris Benoit, Booker T, or Rob Van Dam...it just comes across as a bit silly to see Kurt complaining), as well as listening to him talk about not getting time off (again, not that it wasn't true in a couple instances, but more often than not, he was given time off when he needed it).

What really stuck out to me in the interview was Kurt claiming to have worked the Pillman angle of pretending to be completely broken down and playing up that he was a little nuts in order to get himself released. To be honest, I absolutely buy this part of the interview. It's no secret that Kurt hadn't really been happy for the last year or so in WWE, so if he really did work Vince to get his ass fired, you can bet that didn't please Vince too much to hear that.

Anyway, I do think it's something everyone should listen to. There are parts that just seem absurd, but it also seemed like there was a lot of truth to what he was saying.
Once upon a time, a man lived. This man was a man who really lived. He was the best there was at what he did, living. Living is what he did, and he did it well. In fact, he did it too well. He lived so well that he made other people stop living. That is why he had to be stopped. To stop him, they sent Rimo.

I don't know. Vince usually is pretty good to the talent, from what I've heard. Having said that, it was a TNA webcast/conference call/whatever, so I shouldn't be surprised if there was any amount of exaggeration/fibbing.

I couldn't be bothered with it this week. I have to say that this Mysterio/Guererro stuff is not in the best possible taste is it?

Agree, I'm so sick of the Guerrero Mysterio thing. I've lost so much respect for Mysterio for living off the death of Eddie for so long.
Everything happens for a reason, but sometimes the reason is that you're stupid and make bad decisions.

Rey, Chavo, Vicky and Vince & Steph McMahon, are all doing that. I can feel a certain amount of sympathy for Vicky Guerrero, trying to make a living after the death of her husband, and Vince for giving her a job, but the whole thing has become so damn tasteless, using someone's death for a wrestling feud, Rey, Chavo and Steph should be ashamed of themselves. :frust: :banghead:

Correction, Vince is good to the top talent he doesn't want to lose (keep in mind, he has fired pregnant women, newlyweds, and a man who was off injured with a broken neck he suffered while working for WWE), but considering Kurt is one of those top talents, I do agree with you. I think Kurt complaining about Vince's treatment of him was one of the bs aspects to the interview.

As for SmackDown...I've just got three words. Dave fuckin' Taylor. Hell yes. o.O Well...aright, that turned out to be five words. But seriously, he is one hell of a worker, and it'll be awesome to have him back on TV.
