why give Daivari screen time when that time could be devoted to one of the writers?

I didn't like Daivari as Khali's translator anyways. He was already with Hassan and showed that he actually spoke an Arabic language, meaning he's middle eastern. Now all of a sudden you think it makes sense for him to be an Indian translator too??? Indian is hindu, middle eastern is muslim. Not all brown people are the same.

I never said they were, but at the same time, why couldn't Daivari also be an Indian translator? There's no reason why he can't know multiple languages. I will agree with you that it's pretty obvious that Daivari was put with Khali because of his skin color, but once they established that the character was capable of translating for Khali, then we now know that about him. More importantly, Daivari is paid to be a WWE performer, so isn't is sort of...well...completely douchy that they took him out of a fairly prominent role on TV so that a member of the creative team could be there instead? On top of that, Daivari was always like a heat-seeking missile. You could pair him up with any performer and boom, instant heel heat. That's something that's just too valuable to waste in an era when a lot of the fans like cheering the heels. And that's not even going into how much more charismatic and interesting to listen to Daivari was than this guy...

He lived so well that he made other people stop living. That is why he had to be stopped. To stop him, they sent Rimo.

I thought they should make Vince's child the son of a famous wrestler. That would be a good storyline ........... Bob Orton or Dusty Rhodes finds out the mother of his child slept with Vince and his son really isn't his at all.

GLT....do you think that maybe because you are so cynical of pro wrestling, and WWE imparticular, is because you read so many spoilers and behind the scenes stuff? I myself used to visit those sites and found them to be SOOOO overly negative about the industry that I even found myself bitching about it. I started watching the programs with resentment rather than enjoyment. I soon realized that for me to remain a fan of pro wrestling, I'd have to cut myself off from all of that behind the scenes garbage. It makes the shows much more enjoyable. Not to mention you constantly rob yourself of the excitement and surprise of mega-plat twists.

Wouldn't it be more exciting to watch the show and be surprised and pissed off that Edge stole the MIB from Kennedy......rather than knowing that Kennedy was injured so he basically gave it to Edge? Wouldn't it be more exciting and shocking to see the Crappy Khali destroying Edge for the title rather than knowing ahead of time that it would happen because of Edge's own injuries? Wouldn't it be more fun to watch people getting "fired" without actually knowing ahead of time that their contracts are expiring? Wouldn't it make LOSER LEAVES WWE matches a little less predictable?

I gotta say, there was nothing more exciting for me at a WWE show than when I was in the audience this past spring and Vince was about to find out who the special guest referee was and then the breaking of glass is heard and Austin comes out. I'm so glad I wasn't robbed of the joy of that experience by knowing about Austin ahead of time.

Try cutting yourself off from that stuff for a couple of months GLT, you might actually enjoy the stories like you used to when you were younger.

The Kai and I agree on everything wrestling. I never understood peoples need to know every detail before it happens.

I don't think you're really inaccurate Kai, but I do have a couple things I want to address about the spoiler issues.

99% of the time, I avoid spoilers if at all possible. With the one recent acception of talking about who's gonna be Vince's kid, however, I always find out spoilers because WWE goes out of their way to make sure I know what's gonna happen in advance. Again, with the one exception of who's gonna be Vince's kid, I don't ever read spoilers on PWInsider. The problem is that in recent memory, every time a major event happens on SmackDown, WWE goes and posts a major news story of it with a giant picture that can't be avoided on their front page. Now, while I don't actually go to wwe.com myself, the fact that they put that knowledge out there in advance makes it hard to avoid finding out about it. I don't know how you manage to avoid it, but am actually envious of you. But yeah, my main point here is that you can't blame the wrestling sites for the spoiler issue, because while PWInsider will write "SPOILER" all over anything that contains any information about what's gonna happen, WWE makes sure that if you go to their site, you actually can't avoid that kind of information.

Now, as for why I'm cynical...I'm sure knowing about the crap that goes on doesn't help matters, but bad writing is bad writing, and that's the majority of what the current creative team is giving us. On top of that, even if I wasn't reading the sites (or I should say site, as PWInsider is the only source I trust), I would still find it endlessly frustrating that uber-talents like Jamie Noble and Nunzio (for reference sake, both of whom have proven to be charismatic and capable of getting their characters over with the crowd) are being jobbed out on TV -- if they're even used at all -- while worthless lumps like Great Khali are given World Title reigns. The thing is, I still love pro wrestling. I willingly sit through watching people like Great Khali and Dave Batista, because I know in that same show I'll get to see people like Matt Hardy, MVP, and Fit Finlay go out and show what they do best. I'm vocal about the things that frustrate me, because I miss that era in like 1998-2000 when I didn't have anything to bitch about because the good so heavily outweighed the bad. And yes, I read the sites back then as well, although it was 1wrestling at that point.

Now I will grant you this...if I didn't read PWInsider, I wouldn't know things like the fact that Big Dick Johnson and Great Khali's translator are creative team members, so I wouldn't get as irritated by them.

To wrap this up, though, I want to sort of reiterate on an earlier point. I know I'm cynical about wrestling, and I don't mind anyone calling me on that. But I'm not a spoiler-seeker, and I try very hard to avoid finding out things, so...yeah. Just wanna make that known.

I totaly agree, i think i have only ever read oen spoiler and that was when they annouced that Khali would be winning the title.

I do read a little on the behind the scenes stuff but i prefer to be surprised rather than know what is going to happen before it does. reading all that stuff before hand is like buying your own christmas presents and wrapping them up only to open them up on chritsmas and pretend you didn't know what you got yourself.

Still GLT, you may not read specific spoilers...but the spoilers do develop in your own head because of all the background stuff you know of. Contract expiring???....guess that means that person will be fired after his next big match (jericho). So-and-so has a new book coming out soon....guess we know who the big guest referee is gonna be. This person got in a backstage fight with a writer or with J.R.????....guess we know that person isn't gonna be the mystery #1 contender.

While not OFFICIAL spoilers, information like that still leads to personal spoilers for yourself.
