he he he... the whole old point was me and GLT getting in an argument and I said that the WWE sucked and he said it didn't... lol... now it has actually become a full fledged WWE Thread so it was appropriate to change the name... Actually guys he has held it LONGER than WM21. If I remember correctly he came to RAW BEFORE WM21 and he BROUGHT THE BELT to RAW. So you have to include the time he spent on SD with the belt... then brought it to RAW and didn't loose it. 3+ years with Cena as "the champ"... what a waste of 3 years... |

WrestleMania 21 was headlined by Batista defeating Triple H for Raw's World Heavyweight Title and John Cena defeating JBL for SmackDown's WWE Title. A couple of months after that was the draft that saw the titles switch shows. So, as for Sandman...this was all very vague, but generally it sounds like there was displeasure on both sides. Sandman wasn't really happy being there, and was starting to show it, so WWE was more than willing to let him go. I don't think there was any single event that set it off, just a general parting of ways. |
Once upon a time, a man lived. This man was a man who really lived. He was the best there was at what he did, living. Living is what he did, and he did it well. In fact, he did it too well. He lived so well that he made other people stop living. That is why he had to be stopped. To stop him, they sent Rimo.

lol, Yep. And then a few months later, he lost it to RVD at One Night Stand II. RVD lost it to Edge after he got pulled over, and then Edge very quickly dropped it back to Cena. All that took place over about three months, so basically, out of the last 30 or so months, Cena has had the belt for about 26 of 'em. |

I know this will kill GLT but Batista won the belt from Big Foot. :woohoo: I'm really surprised they disqualified Cena, allowing him to keep his belt. Lame.

Actually, I'm just glad to see the belt off of Khali, regardless of who it went to. Would I have preferred Rey? Yeah, but that's okay, I'm just glad the title is on someone who is capable of moving. Weird booking on the show, though. Why you'd have CM Punk booked as a jobber to Elijah Burke just to get a sudden surprise victory at the end is beyond me. The finish to Cena-Orton was just weak. Aside from that, a pretty good show. Solid match between Beth Phoenix amd Candice Michelle, really fun interplay with Matt Hardy and MVP, and what I thought was a phenomenal match between Cade & Murdoch and Kendrick & London. |

Hornswoggle goes up for adoption but bites the ass of his adopted mother. HHH humiliates Vince and then kicks the crap outta Cade, Murdoch, Carlito and then those two acrobatic dorks. HHH is AWESOME! Oh an ummmm, can Jillians boobs get ANY bigger?

lol, Alright, you guys were worried I was going soft on WWE? Here we go... Last night was a perfect example of every reason I didn't want to see Triple H come back, as well as everything I think is wrong with WWE's "creative" team. I don't even know where to start in on everything that was wrong with that Triple H segment, it was just...bad booking 101. WWE wonders why the fans aren't accepting most of their upcoming talent as big stars? Gee, I wonder, when you have Triple H squash five guys over the course of one segment. Way to be a pro there, Hunter. Remember when he did his out of character interview back in his 2003 title reign of doom when he talked about how people who accused him of only ever making himself look good didn't know what they were talking about? How he said it would be stupid for him to do that, because it's important to make new stars for the future? Well, let me tell you Triple H, Carlito certainly came out of that segment looking like a mega-star. Oh well, I'm sure this feud is at least going to end with Carlito getting a win on Triple H. Oh...wait...nevermind. Ah, and while we're at it, let's take our TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS and job them out to The Chosen Son as well. After all, I'm sure it gives Stephanie a lovely twinkle in her eye to get to book her husband as just hands down better than the entire WWE roster. Here's the thing, it's one thing to book an up-and-comer like that. For example, if they had Lashley do it, I would still find it irritating, but it wouldn't have just been complete stupidity, because they're still in the process of building Lashley. However, Triple H has reached a level where he's -always- going to be super over with the crowd, no matter what. That means he's in an optimal position to help build new stars and help get new guys over. However, with the one exception of John Cena, can anybody please tell me when the hell he has come remotely close to doing that for anyone? It's funny, Triple H reportedly has always known and appreciated what Mick Foley did for him in their matches, and how Mick was such a major factor in getting Triple H over as much as he did. I guess Triple H doesn't need to give back in the same way, though... Oh, and on another note, is anyone else noticing that Triple H is the one who's getting the rub from the whole Vince's son storyline? Yeah, a shock, that one is... Bleh. Alright, enough of being angry about Triple H. There was some good last night. The Hornswoggle segments were really funny. If these keep up, I could actually find myself enjoying Vince McMahon again. Santino is developing into one hell of a heel. Obviously, he's never gonna be a top guy, but I think he could be a really solid mid-card heel for quite some time to come. Shelton Benjamin vs. Jeff Hardy was just awesome, and it was booked intelligently, in that both men came out of it looking really strong. The thing with Cody Rhodes was really interesting, because they actually used a storyline that's over with the crowd to try and elevate a younger talent. At least he wasn't glomming heat from Triple H, heaven forbid. By the way, Beth Phoenix is just plain awesome. It's clear she grew up as a wrestling fan, as there's so much classic 80's influence in her work. I'm hoping once she's done with Candice, we can get a solid Beth Phoenix/Mickie James feud. I just wish Victoria was still on Raw, her and Phoenix would be just plain sweet. |
