No. It's just a report i found linked from Prowrestlingscoops.com. No I didn't hear about Orton. He usually just gets suspended for behaving like a spoilt little brat that he is. |

What is the terror of death? That we die, our work incomplete. What is the joy of life? To die knowing our task is done. | |

Orton actually isn't suspended, he was given the night off because he got married over the weekend. So...Raw this week saw Cody Rhodes get beat by a 40 year-old man who has never been over and has had repeated health issues. It then saw Santino Marella essentially beaten by a retired wrestler (I understand he's the cowardly heel, so I don't have issues with him running away...but I do have issues with him running away from someone who's no longer an active wrestler). ...And I think this pretty well sums up the cage match:

Once upon a time, a man lived. This man was a man who really lived. He was the best there was at what he did, living. Living is what he did, and he did it well. In fact, he did it too well. He lived so well that he made other people stop living. That is why he had to be stopped. To stop him, they sent Rimo.

(Mirror universe where Cody Rhodes and Santino Marella win.) So...Raw this week saw Cody Rhodes beat a Veteran Wrestler Hardcore Holly who has constantly put his health and body on the line for the good of the WWE. Only to be beaten by a rookie who is living on his fathers reputation. It then saw Santino Marella essentially beat one of the greatest minority wrestlers the WWE as ever seen. Not only is Ron Simmons reduced to a one word joke, but now he loses to a man who is basically a jobber. (Marella is a cowardly heel, you would think that he would run away but no...and I do have issues Simmons losing to a heel like Marella). 150 years later Zefram Cochrane kills the first Vulcan to land on Earth. |

lol, That was pretty rad, I've gotta say. Here's the thing with Holly going over Cody...if this turns into a full-on feud that ends with Cody winning, then I retract my complaint about it. However, if it's just someone who has proven that he's never gonna be a top guy beating a kid who hasn't really had a good opportunity to show what he's capable of yet...well, then that's very WWE of them. And the only issue I had with the Santino segment was that it was Ron Simmons that he ran from. Having a retired wrestler look better than one of your current active talents just defies any and all logic. The cowardly heel act is fine, but you also need to make it look like Santino's not a complete waste of space, and the right time to do that is when he's in the ring with someone whose career is over anyway. Then when you have him feuding with an actual current wrestler, that's when he can run away rather than lose. The message of Raw this week was pretty much "Be old!" When Sparky Plugg is beating up-and-comers, retired wrestlers are making jokes out of current performers, and a 60-something year-old grampa is the first person to beat "I'm the last person left standing from the Attitude Era" Triple H after his return, just to have Triple H get his heat back by hitting a Pedigree on the one person who could have possibly gotten the rub out of the segment...it's pretty clearly saying that making new stars is not exactly on WWE's list of priorities. One good thing did come out of Raw last night, though, and that's that they created a lot of intrigue with the SAVE_US.222 thing. I'm really curious to see what that was about. |

BIG news. I'll put this in a spoiler since I know some won't want to hear about this, but for those curious it concerns an injury. Spoiler: click to toggle

That's just more for Kennedy to be able to brag about. First Lashley, now this.GLT...what's the latest on Booker T?? Haven't seen him since the last PPV, he's still in the opening sequence though. |

Booker appears to have been the one wrestler that was suspended for 60 days, so he should still be gone for another month or so. There is still the possibility that things won't get worked out between he and WWE, but honestly, I don't think anyone expects that to be the case. Obviously, WWE expects things to work out alright, otherwise they would have removed him from the opening. HBK is expected back sometime around Survivor Series or earlier. Some people are speculating that he could be what the SAVE_US.222 business is about, but I personally doubt that's the case. |
