Duke Rape Case; Is the victim lying?

A young black women went to a party near Duke University. She was a college student, single mother, and exotic dancer. She claims that, at the party, many members of the La Crosse team brutally gang-raped her. A doctor's examination confirmed damage to the vaginal and anal areas, consistent with her story. Yet, DNA results came back not matching any of the accused.

Do you thinks she is telling the truth or lying?

Is any of this about race?

Who cares about race when you hire an exotic dancer. The only question is is she hot or not?

The race issue might be keeping this alive longer than it should be, but I haven't seen the actual details of the physical to make an informed decision. Everything so far just sounds like pretrial lawyer sound bytes.

Just because she's an exotic dancer doesn't mean she has no human rights. She's a human being just like the rest of us and shouldn't be looked down upon because of her job. She's also a college student but it seems like everyone is overlooking that because she's an exotic dancer also. She has bills to pay just like the rest of us and dancers do make damned good money. Unfortunately they're taking grave chances when they do private dances outside clubs. They can make more money outside the clubs but it's at a risk. Sometimes fatal and when it's reported the victim was a dancer then most people don't care, they consider them dirt or trash.

If the evidence proves that she is lieing then she should be treated no different than anyone else who purgers themselves. It's that simple. My :twocents:

I think she's telling the truth, but there's always a little bit of doubt in my mind when a similar group of people in the same organization are accused of something. It really doesn't matter to me what the victim did for a living or what race they were, nobody asks to be raped (outside of fantasy play) . And just because the DNA evidence in the room where she was raped showed up negative, it doesn't mean she wasn't raped by them there- all it means is that they could very well have cleaned the room afterwards.

I hope she's not lying about it. I tend to think not.

And yes, it's about race. And class.

Not only wasn't there any DNA, but the other "exotic dancer" (why not just be honest and call them "strippers"?) said that she didn't see anything like that and the 'accuser' didn't mention anything like that to her when they left together.

Being a stripper, she is a born liar. (Or do you really think they like lapdancing for fat, bald guys?)

No DNA, no supporting witness testimony, no evidence.

Why are we ruining the lives of these fine young men on her word?

A lot of people do not like their work. So to calling strippers born liars is pretty fucking ignorant.

BTW I always thought you subscribed to the belief everything is learned and that you are born with a blank slate? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Gee, I am sorry that a metaphor is lost on you.

Okay, for your average stripper, lying is a learned skill, but frankly, who cares? Happy now?

If you go to a frat house and take your clothes off in front of 46 drunken strangers, it isn't like you are showing good judgement, is it? (Actually, most strippers go to these things with a bodyguard, so what was this chick thinking?)

Unfortunately, because the race pimps are involved now, these young men are going to have their reputations ruined. Just because someone in the frat hired the crazy stripper.

Oh, here's a little something that might add something to the debate...

http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/04/13/D8GVCKT81.html

A woman who claims she was raped by members of Duke University's lacrosse team was described as "just passed-out drunk" by one of the first police officers to see her, according to a recording of radio traffic obtained Thursday by The Associated Press.

The conversation between the officer and a police dispatcher took place about 1:30 a.m. March 14, about five minutes after a grocery store security guard called 911 to report a woman in the parking lot who would not get out of someone else's car.

Why does it always have to be about race if there are blacks involved. I am really fed up with their whining and everyone else giving in. Were all those involved white? And didnt she go to that same school also?

This is about morons that have never grown up because they went straight from mommys busom and home to mommys busom at college. And its about irresponsible behavior when people drink. If it was about race they wouldn't have hired a black girl in the first place, unless the whole plan was to hire her from the beginning, rape her and set her on her way.

I also find it interesting when you watch the news. The men interviewed seem to be evenly split. However almost all the women always support the alleged vic. ALLEGED>

Thats another thing that drives me nuts. There hasn't even been an indictemnt yet and we have to camps a guilty and not guilty. None of us were there and none of us are privy to all the evidence. So how can we say one way or the other. And I hate the way DA's seem so proactive in cases in their work. Their goal should be to find the truth, not punish someone.

If they raped this poor woman I hope they each end up in prison with their own personal Michael Clarke Duncan sized bubba.

If shes lying I hope the team is exhonorated and she faces some hard time. But you know some people will never belive it and go of their "feelings" still belive the other way.
