So does anyone else have this game? So far I like it, but I'm only two missions in. The Skirmish mode is sort of difficult to get used to, and I'm sort of disapointed that you can't pick what enemy ship/s you want to fight against. I mean, it's not fair to be in a Constitution Refit and have to fight an Excelsior Refit.

It's definitely a great game. I just went up against 3 Sovereign Class ships in a Defiant. I barely one that one.

I have this title and it's actually a pretty cool game- once you get past the learning curve.
Use the map as much as possible and try to keep your ships spread apart as much as possible.
This will give you a better chance at success.

I didnt care for this game until after I got the Ultimate Universe Mod for it (on PC, not console).
One of the things I truly hated about it, until I applied the UUMod, was that there is no "in-mission" saving capability. If you fail at a mission, you had to do the entire mission over again from the beginning. While that might be fine for the first or second time, once you get into those almost near impossible missions that you fail at the very end of, doing them over and over from the beginning multiple times got tired and old real fast.

Im not a die-hard gamer, I just like to play a few from time to time and what I like about the PC version is, in some of those harder mission, you can makes all sorts of changes to the config file with regards to shield effectiveness, weapon strength and accuracy....essentially allowing you to "reprogram the simulation so it was possible to save the ship."

The UUMod also gave you access to all kinds of ship classes and versions that arent in the original game....like the Ablative-Armored Voyager for one.

You cant expect 110% from others, when most times, they don't expect even 90% from themselves. -- Me.

Jack let me play for 5 minutes, but then made me stop just as I was about to launch the controller at the tv.

Another thing that sucked about this game (for the PC version anyway) is that there is no Joystick or game port support for it - you are forced to play in keyboard WASD mode - and there is no configuration mode in the game to let you re-index the keys - you are stuck with them being hardcoded into the programming.

I am probably going to try it again tonight.

If there is enough time.
