Do you think she will qualify for time off for good behaviour?

Paris Hilton may not serve full sentence 28 minutes ago
LOS ANGELES - Paris Hilton may spend far less than 45 days in county jail for violating probation because of state policies and jail overcrowding, authorities said Thursday.
Hilton, sentenced last week to do the time, could spend three weeks or less behind bars because of a state requirement that grants inmates time off for good behavior and because of overcrowding in the system, Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said.
"It's possible that it could be 21 days, 23 days. It's a complicated formula that the state sets down. It's possible that she could do less time," Whitmore told The Associated Press.
As for overcrowding, "our jail is bursting at the seams" and some women inmates have been released after serving only 10 percent of their sentence, Whitmore said.
Last year, "Lost" actress Michelle Rodriguez was sentenced to 60 days in jail for violating probation after her drunken driving arrest in Hawaii. She was released in hours because of overcrowding.
Hilton's time will be determined when she is booked into the county system, Whitmore said.
She will not receive any favors because she is a celebrity, he added.
"She will be treated like any other inmate who's classified as a low-level security risk," Whitmore told the Los Angeles Times, which first reported the development on its Web site.
A call to Hilton's publicist seeking comment was not immediately returned.
Hilton, 26, was sentenced last week for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. A judge ordered her to report to the women's jail in Lynwood by June 5.
Hilton intends to appeal and her fans have posted a petition on the Internet urging Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to pardon her.

I've heard about the petition. The worst is that... you have to pay to participate. INCREDIBLE!!!
She's now trying to blame someone else: I was told it was possible to drive anyway.. Ya sure!!!
If she thinks we are going to believe that...

No TV interview for Paris Hilton in jail 29 minutes ago
LOS ANGELES - Sheriff Lee Baca said Friday that Paris Hilton will not be allowed to give television interviews while serving her jail sentence and that aggressive steps were being taken to prevent cameras from being smuggled into the facility. Hilton was ordered to begin her sentence by Tuesday at a county jail in Lynwood, about five miles south of Los Angeles.
Baca told the Los Angeles Times that deputies and jail employees have been told to treat the 26-year-old heiress like any other inmate.
"Paying a debt to society should not be an element of her celebrity," Baca said. "Her occupation is publicity, but no one should profit in jail."
Hilton could report to jail before Tuesday, but as of Friday afternoon had not done so, said sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore. She may report at any time of day, said Whitmore.
Hollywood photo agencies expect a photo of Hilton in jail would be worth big money.
"The reality is why don't they just let her walk down the concrete carpet," said Frank Griffin, co-owner of the Bauer-Griffin paparazzi agency, told the paper. "This is going to be turned into an event like the Oscars."
Hilton was sentenced last month to 45 days for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless-driving case after repeatedly driving her car while her license was suspended.
Sheriff's officials have said she will serve about 23 days behind bars because of state rules allowing shorter sentences for good behavior.
Baca said it was unclear whether Hilton will surrender at the court where she was sentenced or report straight to jail. He said authorities will not allow her to "be seen in handcuffs ... or in the back of a police car, forlorn and in handcuffs."
Once there, Hilton will go through the normal intake process, said Baca. That involves undergoing an interview by jail staff and evaluations for any medical or other needs.
"Jails are not circuses and not places where `fun' is the priority," Baca said. "Jail should be a corrective learning experience."
The jail houses about 2,200 women, but officials have said Hilton will be kept away from the general population. Baca said no decision has been made about whether she'll share a cell with anyone.
Hilton will "experience her incarceration as all other women will experience it," said Baca. "She won't get better food, she won't get different lockup time or a different environment."

Paris Hilton begins jail term a day early By Steve Gorman Mon Jun 4, 7:33 PM ET
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - From the camera flashes on the red carpet of a Hollywood awards show to the walls of a jail cell -- what a difference a day makes when you're Paris Hilton.
The 26-year-old heiress, a symbol of privilege and American celebrity culture, was booked into a Los Angeles County jail early on Monday, a day ahead of her court-ordered deadline, to begin serving a three-week sentence for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.
She surrendered to authorities in downtown Los Angeles hours after making a surprise appearance at the MTV Movie Awards, and was transferred to the Century Regional Detention Facility in nearby Lynwood, the county sheriff's department said.
Once there, she was fingerprinted, photographed and issued an ID wristband, orange-colored jail clothing and toiletries, said sheriff's department Sgt. Diane Hecht in a statement.
Hecht said the booking for Hilton, whose great-grandfather Conrad Hilton started the global Hilton Hotel empire, was completed by about 1 a.m. PDT (4 a.m. EDT/0800 GMT) on Monday.
Her booking photo showed her dressed in a white V-neck top, wearing eye makeup and lip gloss with a slight smile, her blond hair swept to one side over her right shoulder.
Sheriff's department spokesman Steve Whitmore described her as "cooperative," "calm" and "focused" during booking.
TAKING RESPONSIBILITY
"This is an important point in my life, and I need to take responsibility for my actions," Hilton said in a statement issued by her lawyer. "Although I am scared, I am ready to begin my jail sentence."
Her lawyer, Richard Hutton, said after a jailhouse visit with Hilton on Monday that she "is doing well" and that she intended to use her time to reflect on her life and decide how she can "make the world a better place."
Hecht said Hilton will be kept alone in her cell, an enclosure 8 feet wide, 12 feet deep and 8 feet high, equipped with two bunks, a sink, a small table, a slit window and a metal toilet.
Whitmore has said Hilton would be treated like any other prisoner at the jail, which houses roughly 2,200 women. But she has been segregated from the general population in a "special-needs" unit designed for high-profile inmates.
The star of reality TV's "The Simple Life" will be confined to quarters 23 hours a day, with an hour each day outside her cell to stretch her legs, take a shower, use the telephone or watch television in a jailhouse day room.
It's a far cry from Hilton's last day of freedom, during which she attended the MTV Movie Awards in a black, strapless gown, posing on a red carpet before throngs of photographers.
Hilton was arrested for drunken driving in September, and in January she pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of alcohol-related reckless driving. She was sentenced to three years' probation and had her license suspended.
But the heiress was caught driving in February. A traffic court judge ruled on May 4 that Hilton's latest offense was a probation violation and sentenced her to 45 days in jail.
Sheriff's officials said they expected her to complete her term in 23 days under state guidelines that give most inmates a day's credit against their sentence for each day they serve with good behavior.
Hutton said the judge singled out Hilton for excessively stiff punishment because of her celebrity.

Everything happens for a reason, but sometimes the reason is that you're stupid and make bad decisions.
