Holy SHIT!!!!
And I bitch about paying $3.19 per gallon.
I remember taking a family trip to Toronto with my kids. They wanted McDonald's. So, feeding a family of four (my kids were like five and two at that time) cost me $40 Canadian. Here, it would have been about $25 U.S.

My kids weren't big eaters back then.
You should see them now.
My 18 year-old is 6'4" and weighs in at 292 lbs.
My 15 year old is 6'7" and tips them at 320 lbs.
It would probably cost close to $100 per meal now to fill them up. :o

They're huge.
You should see the looks we get when we're grocery shopping.
The old ladies look at us like we're gonna clean the store out before they get a chance to get what they need.

For anyone who is a true proponent of the environment, they should see the rise in gas prices as a good thing. A rise in the cost of gasoline encourages and makes more viable investing in alternative fuel sources and research leading to more efficient use of those fuel sources. That's how a free market economy works.
