more human than Human

I was expecting her to get destroyed tonight, but she suprised me big time. She tore up Biden..I'm sure she's pulled quite a few undecided voters into the McCain side for sure.
Everything happens for a reason, but sometimes the reason is that you're stupid and make bad decisions.

how about the couple of statements Biden made that were completely factually incorrect?
it's too bad Palin's so new to all this and to everyone's records and what-not or she could have totally given him a smackdown on those

Palin all the way :cheer:

Obama, Pelosi, and Reid...there goes the country
People keep on saying this debate is not a game changer, i dissagree. Had Palin performed miserably it would have marked a possibly unrecoverable move in McCains campaign. Given that she did the oposite, i think the proof will be in the polls. Last time she took the stage ( not counting interveiws, even the great one she had with Sean Hannity that no ones seems to be mentioning ) the polls turned. I expect the same. The Dems battle line of Bush's third term is wearing thin on the public. Her greatest strength is that she connects to the ordinary American. She doesnt speak elequnitly, she speaks normally. Her kids dont go to private schools, they go to public schools. She doesnt eat arugala, she eats moose burgers. She is someone that can relate to the average middle class and carry on a real convo with. Her authentincity prevailed tonight and made even Biden look like an elite.

I watched it on Fox news, witch followed it with great commentary ( Hannity, Liberman, Guliani, and others ). It was great watching Sean mop the floor with the Dems on their reactions.

Say it aint so Joe ;)

I must have been watching another debate. The simple fact was neither of the put their foot in their mouth and that was good for both of them.

Panic, Chaos, Disorder....My work here is done.
I have to say it was fairly even.

Although I loved it when she kept calling him on using the Bush administration as an answer to some questions.

As to how polished she looked, I'd rather have her show some flaws, which she did, as it's her first national debate with a guy who could talk a leopard out of his spots.

60% Palin 40% Biden.

She did as I expected....Well. Considering she is fresh out of the box next to a man with 30 years experience in the Senate... who is accustomed to talking on the house floor....debating...Sara Palin more than held her own. Good for her. No matter who wins this election Palin can hold her head high knowing she was playing hardball...and, performing admirably.

I understand that its only a debate and not a Campaign caucus or anything like that, however, at times I found both them with all of the rebutting that they did on each other, at several points failing to answer the question, or at the very least, side-stepping the questions, eating up the clock with their rebuttals to both say what they've already previously said in either the primary statement or in a previous statement.

Im not saying that this went on all the time, but I felt it went on more than necessary, and a couple of the questions that were asked that I would have liked to have heard answered, I felt a little disappointed with the answers.

Biden spoke well and his years of service and experience served him.
Palin did remarkably well considering this was her baptism by fire, and I was impressed....but I think she really stuck the knife in with confidence and felt her points shoot up when she dropped on Biden, the "surrender" bomb. I think he's still recovering from that one.

.......but I swear I wanted to shut her mouth "pimp-style" :dancing: if I
heard the word MAVERICK come out of her mouth one more time.

You cant expect 110% from others, when most times, they don't expect even 90% from themselves. -- Me.
