So your an Obama supporter who is crying out against oppression yet look what name you chose. George Washington was a slave owner, you should ask your lord master chosen one how he feels about that

Panic, Chaos, Disorder....My work here is done.

And who pays for all that wonderful stuff? The Democrats have owned education for decades and it's a disaster. That is just one example of where the issue is fucked up. The rest is doable, but keep in mind, the left has just as many assclowns and special intrest groups and lobbiests as the right does. I don't think Obama has a chance with fixing any of these issues. He's got to do what his backers paid for first. |

I predict the government will plod along in the same vaguely incompetent way it always does. Don't think it really matters who is elected. In your country or most others |

Precisely my point Lobbyists and special interests - Fuck em Fuck em in the ass with a big rubber dick. Then have them shot Im tired of Big Oil, Big Tobacco, Big Religion, Big Pharmaceutical, and big whatever else sticking its nose in. I say dont give those fuckers nothing until they actually do something useful and constructive - like pay off the debt with all the profit they bleed out of the American people. Between Oil, Tobacco, Religion and Pharmacy, the US National Debt could be paid off in a month. |

Wow, that's insulting... SO you are saying the half of America that didn't vote for Obama are the forces of "tyranny"? Are you serious? I look at it this way, as a lifelong Republican. My party failed to produce results. Either Obama will, in which case, he'll get re-elected, or he'll fail, and get voted out in 2012... Which is the way it should work. |

Wow, Denny, so you are saying that scientists were on the verge of creating all these things, but those mean old Church people were keeping them up all night by singing "Bringing in the sheaths"? The fact is that most of those things aren't practical, and never will be. Let's take "hypersonic" flight. (Just one example). Now, while I am not sure what mean old bible-thumpers were doing to keep that from happening, I do know the laws of economics made supersonic flight impractical. Oh, we had one attempt at it, the Concorde project between France and the UK. Ended up being totally impractical because these planes used up more fuel, could carry less cargo, and a ticket on one cost far more than a conventional flight. Not to mention no one on this side of the pond wanted sonic booms going off in their neighborhoods six times a day when they came in for a landing. Same thing with electric cars. Man, that sounds nice, but ummm- where is the electricity going to come from to power them? As it stands right now, we can barely meet our current electrical needs without having blackouts and brownouts. Imagine if every car that currently runs on gasoline had to plug in for the night. It won't be any 'cleaner', because those plants will have to burn oil, coal or use nuclear fuel that stays toxic for centuries... Some things on your list I agree with. I think we should have single payer health care. But eventually, you are going to get a government bureaucrat deciding who gets to live and who doesn't, just like some private insurance bureaucrat does now. As far as education, I agree, we need to fix our education system. We are woeful in math and science. I think that has a lot more to do with a public system that retains bad teachers and disheartens good ones than arguments over "God" being there. How do you account for the fact that parochial and religous private schools consistantly outscore public schools? Seems God is there, and kids are learning a lot more. |
