Kai started it. I was actually interested in the topic at hand, until she decided to take me out of her mouth to remind me to warn her when I was gonna pop.

I have absolutely no problem with "blunt" whatsoever in the media. In fact, the media today is far too polished and people friendly, far too sliced and diced and edited for political correctness. I'd love to see some open race hatred or racist comments let flung around, Watch a news woman on the street either get completely flustered or completely violent from some random sexist comment that someone might make,or watch some roving reporter on the scene at some rally and there's someone real revved up and he just tells them to "calm the fuck down already for just 20 seconds and answer the damn question". or watch some politician in a press conference just totally sandbag a reporter for asking the wrong damn question. I say gimmee blunt. and gimmee someone who has no problem telling the mayor to go fuck himself in public just because it sounds funny. Let them come up to me and ask me what I think.... I'd start with "Please excuse me just one moment.... ..... ...yeeeah.Now. how can I help you?" just to see the look of on their face.

Isn't this a hung parliament wissa? We had one here in our local election a few weeks ago and the Green party held the balance of power and could basically decide which of the two major parties they wanted to be the major force in the Senate . I'm asuming you have a similar type of political system and that the independant party has to be a part of the new government because they have a percentage of votes and neither of the two major parties do? In that case then they would not have enough power in the senate to actually split up the nation as there would be members from the other two parties there to vote aginst any move in that direction wouldn't there? It's a shite situation to be in because typically nothing can be done effectively if there is a hung parliament Everyone is too busy blocking the move of everyone else |

your terms are confusing me our parliament is the the house of commons and what would traditionally be the house of lords we call the senate. It is all appointed. but yes. No party has a majority so the one forming the government has to rely on support from one of the opposition parties. This is our third minority in a row. We've had 3 federal elections in the past 4 years. There hasn't been any formal contract though like this. And 3 of the minority parties are basically trying to take control of the government
