I've rewatched TMP a couple of times, but its not something that would scream at me to be pulled from the shelf. Effects wise, it was pretty cutting edge for 1979.

Wis, a couple of things.... you're watching TMP after having watched TNG, so as far as the musical score goes, TMP came first and TNG adopted it. And I explicitly remember hearing an adaptation of the original TOS theme music being played during a scene.

Go out there and get yourself a copy of TWOK...you just have to.

You cant expect 110% from others, when most times, they don't expect even 90% from themselves. -- Me.

One of the things that comes off as strange is, not only how it is the Sequel (TWOK) that became the launching pad for the rest of the TOS Trek movies that followed, but in how V'Ger wasnt ever really referenced again in any of the trek that followed.

You'd think that something as significant as what occured with V'Ger would have been touched upon at least once more through the rest of the TV genre that followed.

I don't think they liked it either. The actors were definitly more excited promoting WOK than TMP

Roll on Mother's Day! :fingers: If anyone is mad enough to marry me, I'll make a pre-nup, Star Trek for my birthday, Doctor Who for Christmas!

Personally, the only movie I really don't like is The Final Frontier. Lousy effects (and they were considered bad in 1989), and THE worst story ever. Though it did give me "What are you doing Jim, you don't ask the almighty for his ID?".

In other Nemesis news, Tom Hardy has a film out in the UK called Bronson, based on the man who is regarded as Britain's most violent criminal. It's gotten great reviews. Tom Hardy has even won awards. :wtf:

Amazing.

I turned it on when they landed on the planet with the argos to find B4. Last thing I remember they were jumping a canyon into the back of the shuttle.
