I know the latest reports say that it seems to be in decline but I was wondering how you all felt about it?

On a travel related forum I go to people have been in a downright panic, cancelling vacations anywhere not just Mexico. I personally always thought it was a bunch of hype like the bird flu. Just another thing for the media to sensationalize for ratings

It's a panademic isn't it?

I think that's worth getting worried about

Personally i've was sick recently and the doctor did all sorts of test for swine flu because i'd been in contact with people who'd recently been overseas.

I didn'y have pig flu just a nasty bug

It's just that for most people with a normal immune system and access to doctors it's not that serious. So I was never too concerned for myself, I understand there are those who need to be concerned about getting any type of virus but the swine flu is no more deadly than any other strain of flu

Well once you've had a serious illness more than 2 years running they sort of get worried when you get a sniffle

I've been vacinated for influenza and pneumonia but i still got this virus that had similar symptoms to swine flu

Thats the thing, there are so many strains of flu and they go around every year. For people with weakened immune systems any strain could be deadly. For the rest of us we just feel like shit and get over it.

Even the pnemonia vacine only covers i think 3 or 4 strains (the most common) out of about 60.

I allways had a strong immune system and i allways got over stuff easily until i got pnemonia the first time

The doctor said it was that "she'll be right i'll get over it" attitude that nearly killed me.

Thats why I said that for most people with a normal immune systems and access to doctors they should be fine. (if you're not too pigheaded to go when you really feel bad :p )

Panic, Chaos, Disorder....My work here is done.
Don't lick the pigs. Problem solved.

Jack Sparrow: "Did no one come to save me just because they missed me?"

Jack Sparrow: "Why should I sail with any of you? Four of you have tried to kill me in the past."
[looks at Elizabeth]
Jack Sparrow: "One of you succeeded."
