I get so tired of reading this crap over at ST about how women are sitting around plotting to get pregnant so they can dupe an man in to a lifetime of child support. Last time I checked women can't rape a man and men are free to wear condoms or keep their dicks to themselves if they are concerned about an unwanted pregnancy.

The other side of that is what about women like me who have two kids by two different men and neither one of them contribute in any real way. Far from my children being a financial windfall they are actually a huge strain. Food, clothes, school, not to mention the much larger home I have to have so they will have space. Then I read about how these poor unsuspecting men who couldn't help but put their dick in someone have to pay to support the new boyfriend. What about Damar who pays for the support of another mans child. And you can't say i am the exception to the rule, I know plenty of other women like me who get nothing from the deadbeats they chose to procreate with and who bust their asses to make ends meet just like I do. i don't know who all these women are supposedly living in the lap of luxury off of child support, I think that is the exception.

Garak/Riker has been on anther tirade?

The only place where I can agree with him, is in the cases where the money that is supposed to be going towards support, is then providing a lifestyle for a new boyfriend...I'm sorry, but I feel that when the woman hoos up with a new guy, any alimony from that point is null and void. The figure should be adjusted by the courts to only what is necessary for providing for the welfare of the children, but the new live in guy can pick up the rest.

Not to sound like I'm not sympathetic, but please understand the viewpoint of where I am looking at this one scenario from....married, bring up a family, tend a house, then suddenly one day, divorced, and now I have to find another house/apartment/whatever. I would do the right thing and support my family, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna put a roof over another man's head. - I'll give the kids what I have to give to keep them going, but the new guy can start picking up the rest of the woman's tab.

You cant expect 110% from others, when most times, they don't expect even 90% from themselves. -- Me.

So you don't think that a man should have to pay child support for his children if the mother gets involved with someone else? From my understanding alimony is ended if the recipient gets remarried but child support is to support the children. Regardless of who else happens to be living there.

What if it were reversed and the kids are living with the father and the mother is paying the support? Is it fair that the new woman gets to foot the bill for another womans children?

That is not what I said...I said that once there's a new dog in the playground, the alimony/support amount will be readjusted in court to reflect ONLY what is necessary for the support of the CHILDREN, food, clothes, whatever, etc.....the ex-wife can start digging into the new man's wallet for whatever shit she needs.

And If he's gonna live under the roof that I helped to support all those years, he can bloody well start paying for it while he's living there. If he's gonna bang you, he can pick up your tab while he's at it.

Im sorry that you dont love me anymore, and I will provide for my children, but lets be crystal clear and understand that when you put me out the door, my wallet and whatever part of YOUR "lifestyle" that I provided for, goes with me.

yes they can statics are rare and men are far less likely to report rape in general. I don't agree that every woman is like that but there is enough out there that have learned how to play the system to get money by having a kid.

Give that Roo a beer

Lets be honest and say that it goes both ways now doesn't it?

I mean equality should mean equal resposibility

So if the woman leaves the kids with the husband she should pay him support seeing as how they are her kids as well , never heard of that but i could be wrong :sarcastic:

It happens, I used to work with a girl who is a deadbeat mom and believe me I find her completely disgusting. Even more than how I would feel about a man doing it. Something in me says it's even more wrong. She has two kids by two different guys in another state that she just left both of them with the same man who is only the father of one of them and she came here to procreate more and she has 3 more kids under 3. Disgusting and she makes me sick. She is ordered to pay support on the kids and doesn't so that ensures she will never see them because she is wanted in her home state and God forbid she actually pays the child support.

Oh, I'd say that some can be quite rough and very persistent.
