it just kinda sucks that it ended rather anti-climatically on a stripped fumble rather than forward plays. I dont know why Rodgers didnt try for two with that last minute TD...not that it would hav covered against a FG attempt, but at least it would have put them ahead, and the missed FG would have put a different end to this game....and if he didnt make the two point conversion, it wouldnt have ended any different anyway. |

had he gone for 2 and missed, the game would have been over. that would be a very stupid call. No coach would make a call like that when tying the game is just about a sure thing. Anti-climatic? A forced fumble along with a freak kick in the air by the quarterback and then a defensive run for a touchdown is anti-climactic? Have you been to many games? Fans go more wild over defensive touchdowns than they do offensive ones. |

and if he had tried and made it...... all Im saying is that in just about every other case, they had lost the game. I never like that whole "who scores first, wins" thing - if they have to play into another quarter, they play the whole thing out. and its because that OT ends as soon as someone scores that made it anti-climatic - defensive scoring is cool, but it kinda sucks that a fantastic playoff game is over after being caught up and tied because of a fumble on the second play when there is a whole quarter left on the clock in OT. |

i still don't understand how "sudden death" can be anti-climactic to someone. The very term displays the whole ESSENCE of climactic. I think you are just pissed because the team you were rooting for lost in an embarassing way. |

Not really, its just more a matter of I was a never a fan of "sudden death". Baseball and basketball play out in ways respective to their sport outside of regulation play, to determine a winner in case of tie. The winner of this specific game is kind of moot because no matter who won, I dont beleive either would beat the Saints next week, regardless of their current losing streak |

Bye-bye Birdie. Though I give Warner a lot of credit on his performance today. And if this IS his last game (and he doesnt pull another Favre) Im sure he'll wind up on some NFL sports reporting panel, if he chooses t go that route. And speaking of Bye-bye Birdie, looks like the last of the NFL birds are going to get shot out tonight, after Manning clips Flacko's wings later |
