Yup, no probs here either. AA, on the other hand, I usually get a little yellow triangle bottom left, although the board seems to work ok. |

And it's Almighty for the win! Actually I took Heather's advice and ran a Norton Quick scan last night. I have a trojan.vundo I downloaded a Trojan.vundo fix file from Norton, but it didn't even detect the Trojan let alone fix it. I can't see the file manually, but the Antivirus program keeps picking it up, even after I keep deleting it with Antivirus and it says the deletion is successful. ![]() According to the internet there's something called Malwarebytes that might be able to fix it. If that doesn't work I most likely have to reimage my computer. Whatever that means. ![]() In the meantime, I'm using my husbands laptop and I unplugged the router out of the back of the desktop so that I don't infect this computer as well. I would love any other advice. Thanks. Edited by JustJoy, Sep 21 2009, 06:27 AM.

you might try unplugging it from the internet, running the virus programs, rebooting and running them again before plugging the internet back up. |

Thanks, Wissa. I already did that. Nortan can find the Trojan but isn't able to delete it. I downloaded Malwarebytes. That got rid of most of the files. It can't seem to get rid of one infected item in the registry though. I just deleted that item manually and I'm rerunning the malwarebyte scan. I hope that worked!! Nope: That registry entry came back and there's two files that Norton picks up as contaminated that Malwarebytes doesn't see. Norton shows a contimated dll file in the systems32 directory, but I can't manually see that file. Edited by JustJoy, Sep 21 2009, 08:27 AM.

Assuming your using XP.... Open a Windows Explorer window, go to TOOLS > OPTIONS Click the VIEW tab Make sure SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS radio is selected, and make sure that HIDE EXTENSIONS FOR KNOWN FILE TYPES and HIDE PROTECTED OPERATING SYSTEM FILES is UNchecked Then look for it again |

I'm actually sorry i was right ![]() If you really can't get anti virus to delete the file and you've tried everything else suggested then it's time for a reboot. Save all important documents to an external drive or a pack of DVD's and then grab your original windows disc and do a wipe and replace procedure. Not all PC's will be the same but with my old HP lappy i just clicked on the option to instal windows and then selected the option to format the drive (be it C D or E or whatever your hadrive is on the PC) After that you have the PC back to it's original configuration It's not an ideal situation and i'd only use it as a last resort I think it's what they're refering to when they mentioned "re-imaging" Good luck |

Just spent $100 to have a Norton technician remove it. Money well spent. It took him over 3 hours. I'll explain in a minute. I'm just here to test it out! |
