Give that Roo a beer

Saw the film last week and just wondered if anyone here had as well?

I thought it was really well done visually ( i saw it in 3D ) even though the plot was so so

I really liked the film and thought Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana ( from trek XI Uhura ) worked really well together.

What about the rest of you guys?

Everything happens for a reason, but sometimes the reason is that you're stupid and make bad decisions.

I've been meaning to take the kids. Looks like the kind of movie worth seeing in a theatre.

Perhaps in IMAX.

On a side note, did I hear correctly that this so far has made $800M worldwide in these past 2 weeks?

You cant expect 110% from others, when most times, they don't expect even 90% from themselves. -- Me.

It should be ok for kids.

3D makes it even more worthwhile IMO

The visuals are outstanding

I can see why it's considered most likely to take out awards for special effects

I liked it. Yeah the plot could've been a wee bit better but all in all, it's worth a watch. Saw it in 3D as well. First 3D movie in a theater for me. I'd like to see it again but at IMAX. Unfortunately, the only IMAX here has shitty speakers. :sarcastic:
"Would you like to talk about what's bothering you or would you like to break some more furniture?"

"My car just hissed at me. There's steam coming out of the engine"

"Was it the coffee? Are we gonna go too, just like the captain?" "I know what time it is, I don't need a bloomin' cukoo clock"

So in adjusted dollars for 1997, does it top Titanic?
Im guessing yes.

Probably not

Check boxofficemojo.com for how even titanic rates against old classics like Gone With the Wind or even StarWars

Avatar will be good but not as good as those films after adjusting for inflation
