That wouldn't be in keeping with the actual capitalistic practices of Star Trek's creator, Mr. Gene Roddenberry.

perhaps, but then again it also goes against the bohemian utopic world without money that his federation citizens managed to build for themselves...

Having read the advertising blurb to this game, I was naturally eager, and wanted to just jump right in there. Until I saw the subscription price !! They don't do themselves any favours, do they ??

Other online games I play are free, and sell boosters and other stuff in their online mall, and yes I have bought them. These games generate enormous amounts of cash, many millions of dollars each year from all around the world, far more than they would by simply charging a subscription. Shame nobody mentioned that to the Star Trek game producers/developers !!
