Thanks to Wissa for bringing up "Cherry 2000", Many people love watching bad movies, whether it's due to their unintentional hilarity, bad acting and writing, or copious gore. What are you favorites and why do you love them? |

I think I had seen that in stores, but I had never heard anything about it. I just read the wiki page, it sounds really weird so I might have to watch it sometime! One of the best bizarre films I've ever seen is Terry Gilliam's Tideland. I don't even know how to explain it in a way that makes sense, but basically it's about a girl whose only friends are dismembered Barbie heads she wears on her fingers, until she meets some crazy neighbors. There's some general creepiness, taxidermy, and necrophilia in there. Good times. At the end I looked at the TV and just stared. |

Oooh, does anyone remember "Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue"? I would love for that to be released on dvd. I used to own the VHS, but my parents threw it away. Now that was a beautiful trainwreck. I've seen the VHS selling for well over $100 on Ebay. Wiki linky |

It was a made-for-TV special, it aired on all the major networks and was distributed to schools and by McDonald's restaurants. It was an early 90's animated version of "Reefer Madness", in terms of anti-drug propaganda (not that I disagree with people saying kids shouldn't do drugs, but the way they went about it... wow). Battlefield Earth is that wonderful example of a big budget film which went really really wrong. It was also this year voted the worst film of the decade at the Razzies, which means that I really ought not to like it. However I really enjoy it. Its a film I can sit back and relax too, without thinking, without taking it seriously and its actually very entertaining for all the wrong reasons. John Travolta is also unfortinatly bad in the film, but there isn't much good. I cant help it, its my guilty pleasure. |
